Israel considering strikes on Iranian nuclear sites

US intelligence agencies concluded during the final days of the Biden administration that Israel is considering significant strikes on Iranian nuclear sites this year, officials familiar with the report told The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.

According to the report, another intelligence assessment written in the early days of the Trump administration also determined that Israel is considering strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities.

US military officials said that American support, including arms, is essential for Israel to carry out such attacks.

The report follows comments from US President Donald Trump in recent days that he would rather reach a deal with Iran on its nuclear program than have Israel attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In 2018, during his first term in office, Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers, reinstating strict US sanctions as part of his "maximum pressure" campaign against Tehran.

In response, Iran has taken many steps to scale back its compliance with the deal.

In its latest step to advance its nuclear program, Iran recently informed the IAEA of its intention to "significantly increase" its production of uranium enriched up to 60 percent.

Since the start of his second term, Trump has reaffirmed his “maximum pressure” approach against Iran, and this past week imposed financial sanctions on individuals and entities accused of facilitating the shipment of hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of Iranian crude oil to China.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, last week cautioned the government against engaging in talks with Washington, describing such a move as “reckless.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi made clear on Saturday that Iran is open to negotiations with the United States but not under Trump’s “maximum pressure” strategy.

“The lifting of sanctions requires negotiations, but not within the framework of a ‘maximum pressure’ policy, because it would not be a negotiation but a form of surrender,” Araqchi stated in a message published on Telegram.

Chuck Schumer's new whistleblower tip line backfired

It comes as the Trump administration has been working to shutter federal agencies, shrink the workforce and freeze federal funding in a series of moves that have caused chaos and confusion for workers across the government.

'I’m launching a new portal for anyone who wants to expose corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety with the legal protections of being a whistleblower,' Schumer wrote. More than 30,000 people responded to his post with many users blasting Democrats with their own accusations.

Senator Ted Cruz was among those to get in on it with his own repost on X. 'Great! I wanna report: Joe Biden Kamala Harris Chuck Schumer And the entire corrupt Democrat party that weaponized & abused the federal government for the past four years,' the Texas lawmaker wrote.

Multiple conservative commentators and MAGA loyalists also chimed in online to report Schumer. Several pointed to a speech the senator made back in March 2020 where he said Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh had 'released the whirlwind' and should 'pay the price.'

The commentators accused Schumer of threatening the justices for his speech. While some made accusations against Democrats, other made jokes about getting ousted from jobs for clearly made-up outlandish behavior.

One X user said they wanted to file a criminal complaint about being subjected to the videos of Democrats protesting outside buildings across Washington, DC. It included a video of Schumer and Congresswoman Maxine Waters chanting 'we will win' as they protested last week.

Others posted about wasteful government spending as they slammed Democratic lawmakers for the debt and massive budgets despite past spending bills passed with bipartisan support. One user even posted an image previously shared by Schumer himself where he was grilling but put cheese on an uncooked burger. The caption for the image said the senator can't grill.

The whistleblower form itself was set up to link to the Senate Democrats' webpage. The caption read that whistleblowers 'are a vital part of Congressional oversight to hold the administration accountable.' Users could then use the form to report complaints about retaliation, wasteful spending, fraud, criminal activity or other. But thousands of X users signaled they were swamping the form using fake names, contact information and information.

Marc Fogel realeased from Russia after 4 years of captivity meets with Trump at the White House. ברוך מתיר אסורים

Marc Fogel, a 63-year-old American teacher from Butler, Pennsylvania, has been released from Russian custody after being detained since August 2021. Fogel was arrested at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport for possessing medically prescribed marijuana and was subsequently sentenced to 14 years in a Russian penal colony.

His release was secured following negotiations led by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, appointed by President Donald Trump. Upon his return to the United States, Fogel met with President Trump at the White House. Expressing his gratitude, Fogel stated, “I’m forever indebted to President Trump.”

Fogel’s release comes after his 95-year-old mother, Malphine Fogel, met with President Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. During their brief backstage meeting, she pleaded for her son’s freedom, to which President Trump responded with a promise to “get him out.” He later reiterated this commitment during his speech at the rally.

The White House has hailed Fogel’s release as a positive development in U.S.-Russia relations and a potential step toward resolving ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Pro-Hamas Arab activist Yvonne Ridley cites "goody bags" that were given to freed hostages as examples of Hamas' kindness

British journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer interviewed pro-Palestinian Arab activist Yvonne Ridley on the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage release deal.

During the interview, Ridley insisted that Hamas had been kind to Israel, and cited as an example the “goody bags” that were given to Israeli hostages as they were freed.

The bags given to the freed hostages reportedly contained a map of the Gaza Strip and photos of the returnees from their time in captivity.

Hartley-Brewer noted US President Donald Trump’s demand that Hamas free all the hostages it is holding by 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and asked Ridley, “Is there any argument that you, as someone who desperately cares about innocent people, those hostages are innocent people, are they not? Is there any reason why Hamas couldn't and shouldn't release them all?”

Ridley replied, “Once the hostages go, and every act of kindness that has been shown to Israel has just been backlashed…”

Hartley-Brewer, who was floored by the reply, then said, “Sorry, sorry, every act of kindness? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Do tell me what the acts of kindness were. The pita bread once every three days for those men kept in a tunnel for 16 months? How generous, how kind.”

Ridley then said, “I'm not focusing on the three men. If we look at the women…” at which point Hartley-Brewer interrupted her and said, “Oh, you're going to go there. You're going to go there. Didn't they look well and healthy, Yvonne? Didn't they look well? They must have had a wonderful time at that holiday camp that Hamas ran for them for the last 16 months. When you were held hostage by the Taliban, you were fed, you had cigarettes, you were looked after, you weren't in fear for your life. Those women, those men, the children, the elderly, the sick, they lived in fear every day.”

Ridley replied, “They would be in an Israeli prison, that's for sure. We've had a doctor who was raped to death and then the Israelis called it self-defense. When did rape become self-defense?” citing an uncorroborated story.

“Well, yeah, you tell me. Let's ask your friends in Hamas, Yvonne. I'm not saying there aren't atrocities committed by some Israeli forces and some of them end up in court, and rightly so, and they should all end up in court. I'm not defending any atrocities that are committed by any side. I want to know, what were the acts of kindness that Hamas did that have been thrown back in their face by Israel? What were those acts of kindness?” Hartley-Brewer asked.

“Well, they gave them goody bags. I don't know what was in them, but they gave them gifts. They gave them little mementos, Palestinian mementos,” Ridley stated.

Hartley-Brewer, who was astonished by the response, said, “The acts of kindness from your hostage-taker, the man who's kidnapped you and terrified you and starved you for months. Yvonne, what's happened to you?”

Ridley replied that she has “watched day-in, day-out, pictures of children being blown to shreds…I have watched war crimes being committed.”

Hartley-Brewer pointed out to her, “You know who puts those images out? Hamas. You know why we never see images of Hamas fighters being blown up? Because Hamas don't allow those out...those children, who put those innocent people in harm's way? Hamas.”

Ridley then claimed that Hartley-Brewer’s statement is “ridiculous”, to which the journalist replied, “That's ridiculous? They went into Israel to massacre innocent people and they took hostages. Were they surprised that Israel struck back and wanted their hostages back? No, of course they weren't. They knew what would happen.”

Hypocrisy!!! UN Orders An End to Humanitarian Aid to Yemen Because They are Holding 24 UN Staffers Hostage but the same UN Pressured Israel to Give Aid to Gazan Terrorists

The antisemitic United Nations insisted on supplying “humanitarian aid” to Gaza even when it was clear that it was being diverted by the Hamas terror group; has decried Israeli attacks on Gazan hospitals even after it was proven that they were being used as terror strongholds; and even failed to act when their own employees were found to be moonlighting as Hamas terrorists and involved in committing atrocities against Israelis.

However, it has now become apparent that one thing will change the sham organization’s tune. Although they are happy for Israelis to risk their lives by living next door to a terror state and even insist that Israel should provide “aid” to its own enemies, they won’t put their own hides at risk.

The UN announced on Monday that in an “extraordinary decision,” it is suspending all of its humanitarian aid activities in Yemen’s Sa’ada region after Houthi terrorists detained eight more U.N. employees.

Since 2021, the Houthis have abducted dozens of U.N. staff and has increased its abductions in recent months. The terror group is currently holding 24 U.N. staff.

“This extraordinary and temporary measure seeks to balance the imperative to stay and deliver with the need to have the safety and security of the U.N. personnel and its partners guaranteed,” deputy U.N. spokesperson Farhan Haq said.

“This pause is to give time to the de facto authorities and the United Nations to arrange the release of arbitrarily detained U.N. personnel and ensure that the necessary conditions are in place to deliver critical humanitarian support. The United Nations remains fully committed to assist the millions of people in need across Yemen.”

On Tuesday, a day after the suspension, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) announced that one of its staff members had died in detention in Yemen. In what is a pattern of ignoring evil, the statement did not mention that a terror group was involved in the “detention,” instead saying that he was one of “seven national staff arbitarily detained by ‘local authorities’ since January 23.”

Another "Beeper Like " Attack coming ? Hamas Terror Chiefs Ordered to Ditch Cell Phones Over Surveillance Fears

Senior Hamas officials in Gaza have been instructed to stop using their cell phones due to concerns that Israeli forces could track their locations, according to a report by Saudi news outlet Asharq Al-Awsat. The directive reportedly comes from the terror group’s senior leadership as tensions rise over a possible return to full-scale combat.

The warning follows Israel’s ultimatum to Hamas, stating that “intense fighting” will resume if the group does not release a specific number of hostages by Saturday. However, it remains unclear how many captives Israel expects to be freed.

Sources within Hamas indicate that the decision to restrict phone use was made before the group announced a delay in hostage releases set for the coming weekend. Originally, the order was intended to be implemented at the conclusion of the ceasefire’s first phase, but it was pushed forward due to growing concerns that the agreement might collapse sooner than anticipated.

The primary reason for the ban, according to the report, is Hamas’ fear that Israel could use cell phone signals to locate and eliminate key commanders.
