Less than two weeks have passed since the release of the five female lookouts from Hamas captivity, and they have surprised even their families by deciding together to return to service in the IDF, Channel 12 News reported on Tuesday.

The five have already requested to resume their army service, but the families reported that the IDF said, "It's too early; this is their time to recover."

Despite what they went through on October 7, 2023, it is important for Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Naama Levy, and Agam Berger to return to the IDF and perhaps even serve together.

Even though the five wish to return to the army, they do not wish to return to their roles as lookouts. Ori Megidish, who served with the five at the Nahal Oz outpost and was rescued from captivity on October 30, 2023, returned to serve four months later in a role in the Intelligence Division.

The IDF stated that her decision to return to service stemmed from "her personal desire and a sense of mission to serve the country."

It has taken so many decades but we finally have a president who speaks Arabic. And inshallah he speaks it fluently. 

This week, President Trump hosted Prime Minister Netanyahu as his first international guest in his new Presidential term, and today the two of them co-headlined one of the most awe-inspiring press conferences I’ve ever seen. It was better than any SNL performance since before Pete Davidson was born.

The momentous day began with Trump signing an executive order to sanction Iran, and prevent Iran from achieving nuclear capacity. Whether Arabic, or Farsi, he speaks effortlessly, and bilingually. Bigly. 

The roast of Biden doesn’t get old for me, personally. I would be pissed too if I was left with the problems Biden created, and Trump is correct regardless. Iran did get too close to gaining nuclear weapons. “Lack of intelligence perhaps,” notes Trump. There’s a lot of that going around. It seems Santa didn’t give brains out to those in need this past Christmas. Sad!

The Saudis are afraid of a revolution so they panicked and quickly issued a statement, but the truth is that all indications are that they will not insist on a Palistinian State , they will want that Israel make a statement that they "will look into it in the future! "

US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference after their meeting at the White House.

President Trump began by expressing his pleasure at Netanyahu’s return to the White House.

“We had fantastic talks. He’s the first foreign head of state to visit during our administration. Bibi, it’s an honor to have you with us,” he said, directly addressing Netanyahu.

Trump called for “permanently” resettling Palestinians outside Gaza on Tuesday, as he and Netanyahu took questions from reporters at the White House.

The president did not say whether he thought Palestinians would have a “right” to return to Gaza but asked why they would want to return given the level of destruction.

“I don’t think people should be going back to Gaza,” Trump said. “I think that Gaza has been very unlucky for them. They’ve lived like hell. They live like you’re living in hell.”

“Gaza is not a place for people to be living, and the only reason they want to go back, and I believe this strongly, is because they have no alternative,” Trump said. “What’s the alternative? Go where? There’s no other alternative. If they had an alternative, they’d much rather not go back to Gaza and live in a beautiful alternative that’s safe.”

Trump’s comments on Gaza are the clearest indication so far of Trump’s views on whether Palestinians should be allowed to resettle outside of Gaza in Egypt, Jordan or another country.

He has previously said the option could be temporary or permanent and that he would like to “just clean out that whole thing.”

Trump and Netanyahu took 15 minutes of freewheeling questions from reporters, ranging from the prospects for a future Palestinian state, a potential agreement to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia and whether the United States or Israel intend to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.

“What do you know about anything?” Trump replied to a reporter’s claim that Netanyahu wants the United States to attack Iran.

“You don’t know what he wants,” Trump said.

Asked if the Saudis were demanding the creation of a Palestinian state as a prerequisite to normalization with Israel, Trump replied, “No.”
