A 29-year-old man has been arrested in Ukraine in the suspected murder this month of a prominent Holocaust and Jewish history researcher there.

Police in Nikolayev, near Odessa, made the arrest Tuesday in the May 14 slaying of Vladimir Shchukin, 67, who had worked at the State Archive of the Nikolaev Region. The suspect was not named in the media and police have not indicated whether they believe the motive was connected to Shchukin’s writings on the Holocaust, the Strana news site reported.

Shchukin, who was not Jewish, was found dead in his apartment.

In addition to writing the definitive work on the Holocaust in the Nikolayev region, Shchukin also authored research papers on the Jewish presence in Ukraine more broadly. In 2016 he co-authored a Russian-language work titled “Jewish agricultural colonies of the Kherson province.”

In 2018, another historian, Mikola Shityuk, was killed in Nikolayev. Police arrested a suspect but he was released soon thereafter. The case has remained unsolved.

Shityuk, who also was not Jewish, had published multiple research papers on Holodomor, a famine inflicted on what is now Ukraine by the Soviet Union. Many Ukrainians consider Holodomor an attempt at genocide.

"Achdus" in Satmar Shortlived ...As the Feud Between the Satmar brothers Continue in Monroe

 

While the great news of "achdus" between the Satmar Rabbi brothers was announced, the feuding continued at full throttle in Monroe!

 This past week, two Satmar mechatanim decided to rent a specific hall in Monroe to marry off their children. 

When the Manager asked them, "Who will be the Mesader Kiddushin?" 

 The Mechatanim told him who they chose, a  Zalonie Rav. The hall manager told them that in Monroe there is a psak that if you take any  Mesader Kiddushin that is not an Ahroinie, then the marriage is invalid, and all children from this union are questionable mamzeirim, and certainly not children from a holy union...

To make sure that they understood the implications of getting an outside Rav, in this case a Zaloinie Rav, posters were hung up all over Monroe with this fatwa!

Well...not so fast...

The Zaloinim posted a notice of their own, which states that the previous Satmar Rebbe, the Beirach Moshe, father of the feuding brothers, ruled unequivocally that R' Zalman Leib can officiate anywhere he pleases and especially in Monroe.

Satmar in Bnei-Brak Finally Recognise Publicly the Zionist State

Aaron Keyak Biden's Jewish Engagement Director Tells Jews to Hide Their Judaism

 

Aaron Keyak, Jewish Engagement Director at Biden for President, said Friday, “take off your kippah (head covering) and hide your magen david (star of David)” if you fear for your life as a Jew.

NOTE – Keyak is himself Orthodox Jewish

Keyak’s comments follow a major increase in antisemitic incidents.

As reported by Breitbart News, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said “‘none of the people committing’ recent antisemitic attacks ‘were wearing MAGA hats”

Jewish and non-Jewish Twitter users criticized Keyak’s recommendation to hide Jewish identity. One woman replied to Keyak, “I wore my Magen David today. It’s a little on the small side. I need a bigger one. And I do fear for my safety in the ‘current climate.’”

One man asked Keyak, “Should I hide my eyes to avoid being targeted for being Asian?”

Comparing Keyak’s statement to victim-blaming, another Twitter user said, “She was wearing an awfully short skirt….”

Breitbart News’ Joel Pollak had the best rejoinder, encouraging self-defense over fear: “The only thing you should conceal (legally) is your firearm”

Despite receiving backlash from his statement, Keyak doubled down on his position, saying, “It’s important that those who wear kippot (head coverings) don’t feel more pressure to put our lives in unnecessary actual danger.”

In September 2020, Keyak blamed former President Donald Trump for antisemitism in the United States, saying, “We know that Donald Trump’s use of antisemitic tropes has emboldened all those who hate Jews.”

What antisemitic tropes? 

Keyak still serves as the Jewish Engagement Director for Joe Biden for president, according to Bluelight Strategies, the company he c0founded.

President Joe Biden took days to condemn the rise in antisemitic attacks, only doing so on Monday.

67-year old Jewish man punched in the face in front of E27th Street Shul in Flatbush

 

A 67-year old Jewish man entering a Brooklynsynagogue on Monday night was attacked by a 20-year old man who punched him in the face and yelled anti-Semitic slurs, reported the New York Daily News.

The attack took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the entrance to Congregation Kerem Shlomo in Sheepshead Bay.

Police said that the attacker yelled “F****** Jews!” And “I”m going to **** you up. I see you Jews are racist.”

The alleged attacker, Hersham Ghonim, was arrested nearby. He is charged wth assault, assault as a hate crime, aggravated harassment, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and menacing, reported the New York Post.

The assault was being investigated by the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force.

The Jewish man was not seriously injured, reported the Daily News.

Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe Is Getting Hell For Being Mesader Kiddushin for a "Rav Kook'ster"

An unconventional sight was seen in Meah Shearim on Monday as Mercaz HaRav students and chassidim of Toldos Avraham Yitzchak mingled together next to a chuppah with the Toldos Avraham Yitzhak Rebbe serving as mesader Kiddushin.

According to a B’Chadrei Chareidim report, the chasan and several of his friends, talmidim of Mercaz HaRav, have been frequent visitors in Toldos Avraham Yitzchak for years, attending tischim almost every Shabbos. The chasan developed a relationship with the Rebbe and became his talmid. When he became a chasan, he asked him to serve as his mesader kiddushin after receiving permission from his Rosh Yeshivah, HaRav Yaakov Shapira.

HaRav Shapira and the chasan’s friends from Mercaz HaRav attended the emotional event, and the Mercaz HaRav talmidim and the Yerushalmim sang together at the kabalas panim in the Beis Medrash of Toldos Avraham Yitzchak. The chuppah was held outside the Beis Medrash where all the chuppohs of the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak are held.

Why Are GOP Leaders Condemning Greene Over Holocaust Comments...? What Was So Bad?

 

My parents were Holocaust survivors, and I grew up with survivors exclusively. I did not meet a Jew that wasn't a survivor until my late teens.

Having said that, The Washington Post wrote an article on July 16, 2018, comparing Trump's America to the Holocaust, it was titled "Its not wrong to compare Trump America to the Holocaust. I don't recall anyone, Republican or Democrat condemning this...

These GOP Leaders are a bunch of cowards and all they are doing is feeding into the DemonRat agenda.

Why is it that the DemonRat Leadership could care less about their own Jew Haters like Ilhan Omar, Tlaib and that sicko AOC?

Yes, Rep Marjorie Greene exaggerated about the mask; this mask business is getting to all of us, but to oust her?

Republican leaders are chastising Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for the Georgia GOP lawmaker’s latest bid to liken measures to combat the coronavirus to the Holocaust.

On Tuesday, Greene compared a supermarket’s decision to add a logo to the badges of vaccinated workers to the yellow stars that Jews were forced to wear in Nazi-occupied Europe.

“Vaccinated employees get a vaccination logo just like the Nazi’s [sic] forced Jewish people to wear a gold star,” she said on Twitter, attaching a news story.

Jeff Miller, a major Republican donor who is close to the U.S. House of Representatives minority leader, Kevin McCarthy of California, offered to give Greene a tour of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., where he is a member of the commission.

“WTF is wrong with you?” Miller, who is also a board member of the Republican Jewish Coalition, asked in a tweet. “I think you need to pay a visit to the US Holocaust Museum. I’d be happy to arrange. Then maybe going forward you wouldn’t make anymore disgusting, ignorant and offensive tweets. If I’m wrong and you’re not ignorant about Holocaust … then you are disgusting.”

McCarthy weighed in a bit later, referring to Greene’s comparisons over the weekend likening mask-wearing mandates to the Holocaust.

“Marjorie is wrong, and her intentional decision to compare the horrors of the Holocaust with wearing masks is appalling,” he said. “Let me be clear: the House Republican Conference condemns this language.”

McCarthy attached a statement that also called on Democrats to forcefully condemn anti-Israel members in their ranks.

Also weighing in was Matt Brooks, the Republican Jewish Coalition’s director, whose group joined a rare primaries challenge to Greene last summer.

“Please educate yourself so that you can realize how absolutely wrong and inappropriate it is to compare proof of vaccination with the 6 million Jews who were exterminated by the Nazis,” Brooks said on Twitter. “You’re an embarrassment to yourself and the GOP.”

A number of Republicans were among those who criticized Greene’s equating mask mandates to the Holocaust, but these were mostly figures who are vocal in opposition to former President Donald Trump, who effectively leads the party and to whom Greene is close.

There is something to be said, that we as a Chareidie group should split our endorsements because we never know who will win..but who says that in Golus we should endorse anyone? Why not keep our mouths shut and be discreet about it, and work behind the scenes..

Which leaves me "circling back" to these Rabbanim who say that it is a sin to vote in Israeli elections.........

I am bringing this up because we are fast approaching "bein Hazmanim" and these guys are bored to tears with all that time on their hands; they don't have internet that would have entertained them with  UTube or Netflix for hours, they don't go to beaches, they do not engage in sports and they don't learn ... what to do?

They riot, block traffic so that ambulances cannot get through, so that people cannot go to and back from work, children cannot get back home or school for hours ...elderly people that on these buses for hours cannot go to the bathrooms.

So are they getting their point across? 

Well, let's see... the Meah Shearim gangsters are now against the new "Light Rail" line because it will go near their neighborhoods, so they protest by blocking traffic,  damage equipment that cost millions of shekels, burn garbage bins, and when the Firefighters come they yell nazi and bombard them with heavy rocks just like their cousins the arabs. ....So did it work? 

Nope, in fact the government not only doubled down on going ahead with the Light Rail but are working with a feverish pitch to get most of it done in their neighborhoods before bein hazmanim...good for them ...

As far as the Auerbach terrorists are concerned, thank God, they found a new hobby, throwing heavy shtenders on each other in Ponivitz But no... they accomplished nothing, Everyone must still register for the draft, no exceptions. and Giyus for girls is continuing on a steady pace, if they would have been civilised and voted like people, they may have voted in their own guy who could have made a difference..but they are being led by a guy named Deutsch who came up with this "shtender throwing" idea to keep his followers busy even during the zman...
