'Twas the night before Chanukah, boichiks and maidels

Not a sound could be heard, not even the dreidels

The menorah was set by the chimney alight

In the kitchen, the Bubbie was hopping a bite

Salami, Pastrami, a glaisele tay

And zoyere pickles mit bagels-- Oy vay!

Gezint and geschmack the kinderlach felt

While dreaming of taiglach and Chanukah gelt

The alarm clock was sitting, a kloppin' and tickin'

And Bubbie was carving a shtickele chicken

A tummel arose, like the wildest k'duchas

Santa had fallen, right on his tuchas!

I put on my slippers, ains, tzvay, drei

While Bubbie was eating herring on rye

I grabbed for my bathrobe and buttoned my gattkes

And Bubbie was just devouring the latkes

I ran to the window, and to my surprise

A little red yarmulka greeted my eyes.

When he got to the door and saw the menorah

"Yiddishe kinder," he cried, "Kenahorah!"

I thought I was in a Goyishe hoise!

As long as I'm here, I'll leave a few toys."

"Come into the kitchen, I'll get you a dish

Mit a gupel, a leffel, and a shtickele fish."

With smacks of delight he started his fressen

Chopped liver, knaidlach, and kreplach gegessen

Along with his meal he had a few schnapps

When it came to eating, this boy sure was tops

He asked for some knishes with pepper and salt

But they were so hot that he yelled out "Gevalt!"

He loosened his hoysen and ran from the tish

"Your koshereh meals are simply delish!"

As he went through the door he said "See y'all later

I'll be back next Pesach in time for the seder!"

So, hutzmir and zeitzmir and "Bleibtz mir gezint"

he called out cheerily into the wind.

More rapid than eagles, his prancers they came

As he whistled and shouted and called them by name

"Come, Izzie, now Moishe, now Yossel and Sammy!

On Irving, and Maxie, and Hymie and Manny!"no

He gave a geshrai, as he drove out of sight

"A gut yontiff to all, and to all a good night!"

Seventeen states, Trump join Texas SCOTUS suit to toss Biden electors

Seventeen states on Wednesday filed a brief with the Supreme Court siding with a Texas lawsuit against four battleground states Joe Biden won — charging that they acted unlawfully by changing their election laws.

President Trump’s campaign also announced that the commander-in-chief was joining the suit, alleging that his “rights as a candidate” were affected by the states’ “failure to follow and enforce state election laws during the 2020 election.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed suit on Tuesday asking the Supreme Court to scrap Biden’s wins in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and delay the appointment of presidential electors in those states so allegations of fraud can be investigated.

The long-shot suit is the latest last-ditch effort by allies of Trump to overturn the election result before the Electoral College meets Dec. 14 to formally elect the next president.

Seventeen states that voted for Trump and have GOP attorney generals backed the Texas lawsuit on Wednesday: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and West Virginia.

How The Biden Family Put National Security at Risk

 It’s more than strange that Hunter Biden released a statement today in the form of an official press release from his father’s “Biden-Harris transition” operation, for the purpose of confirming he is under federal investigation for tax fraud. 

“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” read his statement. 

The statement had an addendum from his father: “President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.” 

Sorry, that doesn’t wash. 

For too long, Joe has gotten away with cynically using sympathy for his druggie son to shield himself from scrutiny into his family’s shady moneymaking schemes. 

But no longer is he a mere ­candidate. 

Barring a miracle, Biden will be sworn in as president next month and all the skeletons jumping around in his closet have grave ­implications for America’s national security. 

When it comes to the Biden family’s business associations with Communist Party entities in China, it doesn’t get any more serious. 

Damning evidence about the Bidens’ lucrative influence-peddling schemes overseas is on the laptop Hunter fecklessly abandoned at a Delaware Mac repair shop, which was handed to the FBI last December.

Man Who Was Serving 90-year Sentence For Marijuana Released

 While serving a 90-year prison sentence for selling marijuana, Richard DeLisi’s wife died, as did his 23-year-old son and both his parents. His adult daughter was in a horrific car accident and suffered a paralyzing stroke as a result. He never met two granddaughters — a lifetime of missed memories.

Yet, 71-year-old DeLisi walked out of a Florida prison Tuesday morning grateful and unresentful as he hugged his tearful family. After serving 31 years, he said he’s just eager to restore the lost time. DeLisi was believed to be the longest-serving nonviolent cannabis prisoner, according to the The Last Prisoner Project which championed his release.

DeLisi also finally met his 11-year-old and 1-year-old granddaughters for the first time this week.

“I’m a blessed human being, a survivor,” DeLisi said in a phone interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday while he was in the parking lot of his favorite hamburger joint as he watched his granddaughters laugh and bounce a ball.

DeLisi was sentenced to 90 years for marijuana trafficking in 1989 at the age of 40 even though the typical sentence was only 12 to 17 years. He believes he was targeted with the lengthy sentence because the judge mistakenly thought he was part of organized crime because he was an Italian from New York. DeLisi said he had opportunities, but never had any desire for that life.

He prefers not to dwell on lost memories and time he’ll never get back. He’s not angry, and instead takes every opportunity to express gratitude and hope.

“Prison changed me. I never really knew who God was and now I know and it changed the way I talk to people and treat people,” said DeLisi, who became a mentor to younger inmates. “For me, being there so long, I was able to take gang members from gangs to gentleman.”

Hunter Biden Facing Federal Investigation Over ‘Tax Affairs’

 Joe Biden’s son Hunter said Wednesday that his “tax affairs” are under federal investigation, putting a renewed spotlight on the questions about his financial dealings that dogged his father’s campaign.

In a statement released by Biden’s transition office, the younger Biden said he learned about the investigation on Tuesday. He did not disclose details of the matter.

“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” he said in a statement.

Hunter Biden has long been a target of President Donald Trump and his allies, who have accused him of profiting off his political connections. Trump and his supporters also raised charges of corruption related to Hunter Biden’s work in Ukraine at the time his father was vice president and leading the Obama administration’s dealings with the Eastern European nation.

The disclosure of the federal investigation led by the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware comes at an awkward moment for the incoming president, who is assembling his Cabinet. His pick for attorney general could have oversight of the investigation into the new president’s son if it is still ongoing when Biden is sworn in on Jan. 20.

The transition team said in a statement: “President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.”

Hunter Biden’s attorneys did not immediately return phone messages seeking comment.
