Rabbinic Court Orders Public Shaming of Get Refuser Yitzhak Sasson

By
David Israel

The Be’er Sheva Regional Rabbinical Court last week decided to publish the name and photo of Yitzhak Sasson, who has been refusing to divorce his wife Sharon for a year despite a judicial ruling requiring him to do so.

The judges allowed the wife to shame him and called on the public to boycott him, in order to increase the pressure on him to agree to her release from the marriage.

Biden Appoints Anti-Israel Palestinian to Liaison with Congress on Legislation

Thanks to the Jew Boys that voted for the liar and thief Biden... This is only the beginning ....

David Israel

Elections certainly have circumstances. On Monday we were informed that President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team has appointed Rima Dudin, a Democratic party activist of Palestinian descent, as Deputy Chief of Staff for the White House Office of Legislative Affairs.

Dudin is affiliated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which she joined as a student at Berkeley, where she was also a member of the Muslim Student Association.

The Anti-Defamation League has criticized CAIR, saying its position as the “go to American-Muslim civil rights organization” is “undermined by its anti-Israel agenda,” dating back to its founding by leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), a Hamas affiliated anti-Semitic propaganda organization.” The ADL also accused the group of hypocrisy in its condemnation of Hezbollah, noting that CAIR “for many years… refused to unequivocally condemn Palestinian terror organizations and Hezbollah by name” and that CAIR began to do so “only when the terrorist organization stopped focusing solely on Israel and began engaging in military operations against Sunni Muslim fighters in Syria and Iraq.” The ADL has also called on CAIR to “denounce anti-Semitism at rallies in the US.”

She was a prominent supporter of a lawsuit brought by the Muslim Advocates organization against the Justice Dept. over the FBI’s surveillance operations in US mosques. The group’s 2009 lawsuit sought the “full disclosure of the standards and procedures utilized by FBI agents” for conducting surveillance operations on civic or religious organizations in connection to an ongoing criminal investigation.

The Office of Legislative Affairs is responsible for advancing the President’s legislative agenda on Capitol Hill. Every day, the Legislative Affairs team is working with Senators, Representatives, and their staffs to promote the President’s priorities. The Office of Legislative Affairs officials notify Senators and Representatives about the administration’s initiatives, assisting with research on legislation and floor activity, and staffing legislative events.

Rima Dudin has served most recently as a volunteer on the Biden campaign, and before that worked for Senator Richard Durbin (D-Illinois) as the director of his research center, and as an assistant on his judicial subcommittee on human rights and the law.

Dudin, who has been described as a brilliant lawyer, graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She co-authored a book on the House and Senate at the Brookings Institution.

Dudin is a fellow at the Truman National Security Project, a fellow of the New Leaders Council, a graduate of the Aspen Institute Socrates Program, a former member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a member of the Jenkins Hill Society.

Ballots Cast by the Dead Emerge in Extremely Tight Brindisi-Tenney Race

The discovery of mail-in ballots cast by dead voters has emerged as an issue in the neck-and-neck race between first-term upstate Democratic Rep. Anthony Brindisi and rival Republican Claudia Tenney.

Tenney, who held the seat before being ousted by Brindis, was ahead by a razor-thin 100 votes as the two campaigns appeared before a state judge who will rule on hundreds of disputed absentee and affidavit ballots that could determine the winner.

Madison County Attorney Tina Wayland-Smith reported that election officials there disqualified absentee ballots filed by three “deceased” voters” in a filing with state Supreme Court Justice Scott Del Conte, who is overseeing the count in Oswego County.

Madison is one of the eight counties included in the 22nd congressional district that runs from Binghamton in the southern tier, through Central New York and north to the Canadian border.

Wayland-Smith declined requests for comment on the names of the dead voters, or any other information.

A top state Board of Election is demanding an investigation.

“This is a known problem of voting by mail. It should be investigated,” said Doug Kellner, co-chairman of the state Board of Elections, noting that it’s a crime for someone to mail a ballot in the name of a dead person.

“It is an election fraud. It’s a felony,” he said.

The law also says an absentee ballot cast by a voter who then dies before the election isn’t counted. The Tenney and Brindisi campaigns declined comment.

Meanwhile, Justice DelConte on Monday reviewed absentee ballots challenged by either the Brindisi or Tenney campaign as well as other ballots that were disqualified by the eight county boards of election.

In one case, Tenney’s team challenged two ballots that were dropped off by two Oneida County voters in Queens, News Channel 9 in Syracuse reported.

Brindisi’s campaign argued for six ballots to be counted that were ruled ineligible by the Oswego County Board of Elections.

Tenney led by a hefty 27,000 margin in the machine count but Brindisi nearly erased the entire lead during the counting of absentee ballots.

She will be second Republican in New York to pick up a congressional seat — along with Congresswoman-elect Nicole Malliotakis on Staten Island — if she prevails.

How legislation led to 80 women being freed from agunah status

Israeli rabbinical courts can now impose sanctions on get refusers from abroad, if they visit Israel.

The biannual conference of the standing committee of the Conference of European Rabbis was held online this year. Participating in the discussions was the head of the Knesset’s Regulatory Committee, MK Yaakov Asher of the United Torah Judaism party.

MK Asher praised the work of the Conference and told its President, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, that, “The amendment made to the laws regulating rabbinical courts in Israel that grants them legal authority in cases of agunot [women estranged from their husbands whose husbands refuse to divorce them -ed.] for women living outside Israel has led to 80 women being freed of their agunah status, from all over the world.”

He added that, “You, who proposed this important amendment, have brought honor to the Torah, and I consider this to be one of your most significant achievements. I was actually amazed and taken aback at how some Knesset members – those who love to raise the flag of democracy and women’s rights – chose to oppose this amendment, simply because in their eyes, it would have the ‘dreadful’ result of improving the standing of the rabbinical courts.”

The amendment to the law relating to husbands who refuse to give their wives a “get” (halakhic divorce) was passed two and a half years ago in the Knesset, and gave the Israeli rabbinical courts the authority to rule on cases of agunot living abroad, and to make use of various judicial means, including sanctions and punishment against the get refuser, in the event that he visited Israel.

Speaking at the conference, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt described the legislative process he has been working on for the past few years: “From the day when Israel announced that it will not provide sanctuary for get refusers, 119 appeals were submitted to the rabbinical courts there. The result of those appeals was that 85 files were opened with restrictive orders placed on the husbands concerned, and 57 agunot received a get and were freed from their former status.”

Rabbi Goldschmidt noted that the appeals came from countries all over the world, including Mexico, Peru, the U.S., France, Turkey, and Great Britain.

“I received data from rabbinical courts in the UK, France, Moscow, Amsterdam, Germany, and Turkey, showing me that the amendment to the law had provided a solution for at least 23 women – and possibly many more, who relented from their stance out of fear of what would happen to them if they set foot in Israel,” he noted. “For the meantime, however, the amendment is only a temporary measure, to remain in place for the next three years – it should be made permanent,” he said.

MK Asher responded that discussions related to making the amendment a permanent addition to the law were already underway.

Also addressing the conference, Rabbi Aryeh Ralbag, head of the special rabbinical court for agunot and the head of the Agudat Harabbanim of the United States and Canada, said that “the tears of the agunot interceded for them before G-d.” He related several details of a particular case he was involved in, one that was resolved due to this amendment to the law.

“This case related to a Brooklyn resident who had, for the past decade or more, refused to give his wife a get. Over the years, five different rabbinical courts attempted to resolve the case, and the husband was issued with two separate ‘contempt of court’ rulings, one of which was signed by a very prominent Chassidic leader. Nonetheless, all these attempts failed. The man visited Israel several times, using forged passports. A year ago, we found out that the man was on his way to Israel to attend the wedding of his son. We traced him through three different airports and eventually tracked him down on a flight from Philadelphia to Israel.

“The moment he got off his flight, around an hour before Shabbat began, he was arrested and taken to jail,” Rabbi Ralbag continued. “On Saturday night, the day before the wedding, he was brought before the rabbinical court in Jerusalem where he once again refused to grant his wife a get. Instead, he tried to negotiate with the rabbis, saying that if they freed him to go to his son’s wedding, he would give his wife a get. The rabbinical court refused to release him, as he had several forged passports in his possession and there was a reasonable probability that he would flee once released. He sat in jail for four months, during which he was brought back to the rabbinical court several times, until finally, he broke and gave his wife the long-awaited get.”

NJ Gov. Murphy Confronted At Family Dinner After the Hypocrite Ordered Limited In-House Gatherings

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy showed up in a social media video Sunday night for having dinner with his family. But why the hysteria on Twitter? The Democratic governor and his crew were eating while wearing no protective masks. That didn’t sit well with some apparent Republican bystanders.

Still, why the hoopla for an elected official eating dinner with no masks at a public restaurant? Probably because not long ago, Gov. Murphy suggested families in his state to keep Thanksgiving gatherings at a minimum to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

“We’re urging everybody to keep their Thanksgiving plans as small as possible because we know that indoor gatherings and homes are particularly dangerous places for COVID-19 to spread,” Murphy said during a state coronavirus briefing last Monday. “The smaller the gathering is, the less likely it is that someone is infected and puts their loved ones at risk. It is that simple.”

Then, a video surfaced Sunday night of Murphy having dinner with several folks. Behind the video was apparently a woman who said “f***” many times to not just the governor, but to other people in his party who engaged in conversation with the woman.

The video first focuses on the governor while he’s at a large tabletop with his party. A woman’s voice is then heard.

“Hey, how ya doing?” the woman asks the governor. Another voice in the background is heard saying, “you’re such a d***.”

The main woman’s voice is heard again saying, “You’re having fun with your family and in the meantime you’re having all other kind of bulls***going on.” The governor can be seen taking a bite of food as the berating continued.

Chareidie Couple Break Engagement After Rabbi Tells Them that Their Names Don't Match

The Great Sfardie poisek, R' Ben-Zion Moitzpe, scathingly attacked a rabbi that advised a couple to break their engagement because their "names weren't suitable."

The father of the kallah approached R' Moitzpe last night, and explained that his daughter was all set to get married, but the boy's parents decided to submit the names of the couple to a kabbalist, and when the rabbi heard the names of the couple he said that their names didn't match and that they should cancel the shidduch, and so they called them to call off the shidduch.

R' Moitzpe ... began to cry ...and wailed:
"woe to this rabbi that broke a shidduch because of "shitusim" "nonsense."
"Woe to this rabbi that is causing pain to our Father in Heaven, that is causing pain to the Holy "Shechinah" that destroyed a Jewish home .. there is no end to the punishment that he will get."
"and no end to the punishment to those who even go to these charletens to give in names to see if the shidduch is suitable"

R' Moitzpe ended his lament to say that the late Steipler already condemned these "rashaim" these wicked kabbalist rabbis.

Slonimer Rebbe: "the Moetzes Gedoilei Yisrael" are Liars, Frauds and Making Chillul Hashem Being Part of the Knesset"

What better time to curse out the "Moetzes Gedoilei ha'Torah" than at a sheva berachos of a grandchild.

So instead of bentching the young couple that they build a "bayis neeman be'Yisrael' the Slonimer Rebbe took the opportunity to relate how members of the Agudat Yisrael Party deceived and lied to him telling him that they would never again be part of the heretical knesset., and then lo and behold, Litzman decides to rejoin the "koifrim and meenim" in the "cursed" knesset .

He asked that others join him to protest this huge "Chillul Hashem."

"Hilchos Kvittel" .....

A "kvittel" is a note that one hands to a Chassidishe Rebbe.
In that kvittel, one writes his name and the names of his family and his basic request from the rebbe, usually it could be for his health, parnassah or a shidduch for his children. The rebbe in turn will pray to Hashem for that chasid....

Nowadays there is a custom that Jews and even non Jews put a kvittel into the Kotel's crevices.

The hard core litvaks would  laugh and mock at this practice but now even in the litvishe circles.. the "kvittel business" has made inroads .... it all started with the Steipler the father of R' Chaim Kanievski, who was hard of hearing so people would write down a message on a note and he would read it and answer the questionnaire.
Now even those litvishe Roshei Yeshiva who hear better than you and me get kvittlich ...

Recently a wise guy came up with a sefer on the "halachos kvittlich"

Good for him at least he is working to make a living!

Trump administration authorizes Biden transition

The General Services Administration has informed President-elect Joe Biden that the Trump administration is ready to begin the formal transition process, CNN reported on Monday, citing to a letter from Administrator Emily Murphy.

The letter is the first step the administration has taken to acknowledge President Donald Trump's defeat.

It signals that Murphy will formally sign off on Biden's victory, a normally perfunctory process known as ascertainment. The move will allow the transition to officially begin, permitting current administration agency officials to coordinate with the incoming Biden team, and providing millions in government funding for the transition.

Murphy had so far refused to move forward with the ascertainment process, locking the President-elect's team out of speaking with federal agencies, noted CNN. Murphy, a Trump political appointee, has faced intense scrutiny and political pressure from Democrats and, in recent days, Republicans calling for the start of a smooth transition.

In her letter, Murphy stressed she had not been pressured by the White House to delay the formal transition and did not make a decision "out of fear or favoritism."

"Please know that I came to my decision independently, based on the law and available facts," Murphy wrote. "I was never directly or indirectly pressured by any Executive Branch official -- including those who work at the White House or GSA -- with regard to the substance or timing of my decision. To be clear, I did not receive any direction to delay my determination."

Yohannes Abraham, the executive director of the Biden transition team, said in a statement that the decision “is a needed step to begin tackling the challenges facing our nation, including getting the pandemic under control and our economy back on track.”

“In the days ahead, transition officials will begin meeting with federal officials to discuss the pandemic response, have a full accounting of our national security interests, and gain complete understanding of the Trump administration’s efforts to hollow out government agencies,” he added.

US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, confirmed that he had instructed Murphy to cooperate with Biden’s team but noted that he intends to continue his legal fight against the results of the election.

“I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused – and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA. Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good fight, and I believe we will prevail! Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same,” he tweeted.

The report came shortly after the Michigan State Board of Canvassers voted to certify Biden’s victory in the state.

The President continues to maintain there was widespread voter fraud in the November 3 election and has filed a number of challenges in different states.

On Sunday, the Trump campaign appealed a court decision rejecting its request for an injunction blocking the certification of the vote count in the key state of Pennsylvania.

A day earlier, a judge had rejected the Trump campaign’s request, accusing the Trump legal team of presenting “strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations ... unsupported by evidence.”
