Twitter, Facebook Looking To Influence Election by Censoring Post over Hunter Biden Exposé

Both Twitter and Facebook took extraordinary censorship measures against The Post on Wednesday over its exposés about Hunter Biden’s emails — and leveled baseless accusations that the reports used “hacked materials.”

The suppression effort came despite presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign merely denying that he had anything on his “official schedules” about meeting a Ukrainian energy executive in 2015 — along with zero claims that his son’s computer had been hacked.

The Post’s primary Twitter account was locked as of 2:20 p.m. Wednesday because its articles about the messages obtained from Biden’s laptop broke the social network’s rules against “distribution of hacked material,” according to an email The Post received from Twitter.

Twitter also blocked users from sharing the link to The Post article indicating that Hunter Biden introduced Joe Biden to the Ukrainian businessman, calling the link “potentially harmful.”

“In line with our Hacked Materials Policy, as well as our approach to blocking URLs, we are taking action to block any links to or images of the material in question on Twitter,” a Twitter spokesperson told The Post in a statement.

The company said it took the step because of the lack of authoritative reporting on where the materials included in The Post’s story originated.

Users who clicked the link on Twitter were shown an alert warning them that the webpage may be “unsafe” and could contain content that would break Twitter’s rules if it were shared directly on the platform.

The extraordinary move came after Facebook said it would limit the spread of The Post’s story on its own platform. The social network added that the story would be eligible for review by independent fact-checkers.

US Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) fired off a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday demanding answers about why the platform “censored” The Post’s reporting.

“The seemingly selective nature of this public intervention suggests partiality on the part of Facebook,” Hawley wrote. “And your efforts to suppress the distribution of content revealing potentially unethical activity by a candidate for president raises a number of additional questions, to which I expect responses immediately.”

Hawley later sent a similar letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, blasting the company for what he said was “an unusual intervention that is not universally applied to all content.”

The senator demanded to know how Twitter had determined that The Post’s story was violating its policy on hacked materials and why the company had taken the “unprecedented action” to lock the news org’s account.

“I ask that you immediately answer these questions and provide the necessary justifications so that your users can feel confident that you are not seeking to influence the outcome of the presidential election with your content removal decisions,” Hawley wrote.

Karlin Stolin’s Rabbi Slams Haredim Who Disobey COVID Medical Directives

For the second time in two days, a prominent Israeli rabbi has publicly lamented the lack of adherence to health guidelines amidst the ongoing pandemic.

As previously reported , a letter by Rabbi Asher Weiss on October 13th said that the Torah requires us to heed medical guidance to safeguard our lives, and our failure to do so has brought shame on our communities and resulted in loss of life. Further strengthening those statements were the words of the Grand Rabbi of Karlin Stolin, Rabbi Baruch Meir Yaakov Shochet, who addressed his followers in a phone call today, as reported by Kikar HaShabat (https://bit.ly/3jUut0a).

“I understand that it is difficult to be in a constant state of vigilance, but this is something we are obligated to do,” said Rabbi Shochet, who recently recovered from coronavirus. “It is G-d’s will and we should celebrate the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of preserving our health.”

Rabbi Shochet expressed dismay at individuals and even prominent members of the Jewish world who have been less than careful about matters of health, potentially endangering the lives of others and causing others pain and suffering.

“I am amazed that the Charedi community is showing such blatant disregard for the lives of others,” continued Rabbi Shochet. “What has happened to us? How did we get here? In the name of G-d, we cannot be lax in any way. This is not a children’s game – this is a life threatening matter of the highest importance.”

The Obama-Biden ‘Ostracize and Punish Israel’ Legacy Will Return if Democrats Win the White House in 2020

by Julie Strauss Levin

Joe Biden portrays himself as Israel’s ally and a friend of the Jewish people. Obama did the same when he was running for president and then he played bait and switch.

It’s time voters wizen up because Biden vows to repeat the Obama-Biden playbook on Israel and the Middle East.  It’s even worse: today’s Democrat party leadership has taken a major turn to the left. They are no friend of the Jewish people here or in Israel.

A quick history lesson is instructive:

In 2008, Candidate Obama pledged Israel’s security was “sacrosanct” and “non-negotiable” with “secure recognized defensible borders,” where Jerusalem would “remain” Israel’s capital and “must remain undivided.”

Fast forward, months later in 2009, then President Obama wasted no time abandoning his empty words.  Embarking on their true agenda, Obama-Biden declared a “serious problem” existed precisely because there was no daylight between the United States and Israel.  Obama-Biden was determined to change that and, off to the races, they didn’t look back.

Obama-Biden embraced the Muslim Brotherhood, awarded millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Palestinians despite their killing Israelis and Americans, pressured Israel to release Palestinian terrorists from jail, insisted Israel suspend “settlements” in its ancestral home, calling these an “occupation,” advocated for the physical division of Jerusalem and surrendering its defensible borders. That’s just a highlight of what this writer refers to as the “Obama-Biden Ostracize and Punish Israel” campaign.

Dog Consoles Little Girl As Her Mother Screams at Her

A video of a pet dog appearing to prevent a little girl from being scolded by her mother has gone viral in China.

The child's mother, who filmed the scene, claimed that the five-year-old golden retriever was protecting her two-year-old daughter as she was scolding the girl.

She claimed that her daughter had grown up in Harry's company and the two had a deep bond.

The pet, named after J.K. Rowling's fictional character Harry Potter, appeared to snarl at the parent, seemingly telling her to back off.

Harry's adorable reaction was captured by the girl's mother, Ms Sun, on Friday at their home in eastern Chinese city Xuzhou.

Ms Sun claimed that she decided to record the incident because she found it 'funny and infuriating' at the same time.

According to the mother, she had just purchased a facial cream for her daughter and left it in the living room as she went to prepare lunch.

After she returned, the woman was exasperated to find that You You had torn up the product packaging while playing with the tub of moisturiser.

'I was honestly really upset. I'd just bought the cream and half of it was already gone,' Ms Sun, 32, told MailOnline. 'My baby started crying because I was shouting at her quite aggressively.'

But the parent claimed her anger melted away when she saw Harry defending her daughter.

Footage shows the furry guardian standing in front of the crying toddler while baring his teeth at the mother, seemingly warning her to stop.

The pet even became more defensive as the mother told him to move out of the way.

'You, get up. Stop protecting [her],' Ms Sun can be heard saying in the video.

Harry also appeared trying to comfort You You by wrapping his leg around the little girl and resting his head on her shoulder.

Amused by the dog's reaction, the mother calmed down and stopped the scolding.

'I was still upset but I thought it was also quite funny.' Ms Sun said. 'It was very heart-warming. Dogs would find ways to express their love if you treat them properly.'

Apparently, this is not the first time Harry has defended his little pet owner.

'Whenever we speak to [You You] in a harsh tone, he would come over and try to shield her with his paws,' the mother added.

'He would protect the child with his life.'

The footage of Harry quickly became viral and amassed millions of 'likes' after Ms Sun shared it on Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok.

The parent said she was surprised and overwhelmed by the attention her video had attracted.

WHO warns that pursuing herd immunity against Covid-19 may not even be possible

The head of the WHO has warned against pursuing herd immunity as a strategy to stop the pandemic, describing the idea as 'simply unethical.'

The idea that letting the virus circulate will eventually reap benefits has been touted by those opposed to lockdowns, but Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said 'herd immunity is achieved by protecting people from a virus, not by exposing them to it'.

'Never in the history of public health has herd immunity been used as a strategy for responding to an outbreak,' Tedros said.

He added that some diseases such as measles need as many as 95 per cent of people to be protected for herd immunity to develop, whereas the WHO estimates that less than 10 per cent of the world's population has any immunity to Covid-19.

However, the WHO has also voiced scepticism over blanket lockdowns, calling for a 'middle way' between lockdown and the unrestricted spread of the disease.

Bizarre Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono asks Judge Barrett if she has ever sexually assaulted someone

Crazed DemocRATS have gone off the deep end...

Amy Coney Barrett has been asked in her Supreme Court nomination hearing whether she has ever sexually assaulted anyone.

The Senate Judiciary Committee held its second day of hearings for the 48-year-old federal judge on Tuesday.

Hirono quoted Chief Justice John Roberts, who in 2017 acknowledged that the judiciary 'is not immune' from the problem of sexual misconduct.

She then asked: 'Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors, or committed any physical or verbal harassment or assault of a sexual nature?'

Barrett replied: 'No, Senator Hirono.'

Hirono asked: 'Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct?'cBarrett replied: 'No, Senator.'

Hirono's line of questioning drew parallels with the hearing for the most recently appointed Supreme Court judge, Brett Kavanaugh.Kavanaugh was nominated in July 2018, and his hearing was dominated by questions over sexual assault allegations made by Christine Blasey Ford.

Hirono asked Kavanaugh: 'Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature? Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct?'

Some saw Hirono's line of questioning as amounting to a 'perjury trap' - the idea that, if it later emerges that sexual assault was committed, the nominee would have committed perjury.

Randall Eliason, a former federal prosecutor who now teaches at the George Washington University's School of Law, told NPR in 2018 that the term 'perjury trap' was related to entrapment.

'So what it means is that the prosecutor calls you in to testify not because they've got some legitimate investigative reason to have you testify, but simply to try to sort of trick you or trap you into some kind of a lie that they could then charge you with,' he said in 2018, discussing Donald Trump's fear that speaking to Robert Mueller was a perjury trap.

Kavanaugh, to the Democrats' fury, was approved in October 2018.

Others objected strongly to Hirono's question. 'Are they really going here???' asked Dinesh D'Souza, prominent pro-Trump commentator and filmmaker.

One said that the sexual assault question 'proves how vile the left is'. Another remarked: 'I was convinced nobody would bomb worse than @SenWhitehouse, then @SenBlumenthal attempted to out-do him.

'But what I didn't realize was that @MazieHirono was waiting in the wings, ready to accuse ACB of sexual assault. A true hold-my-beer moment in the history of hearings.'

Some found the whole furore bizarre, though. 'Genuine question: Why are people so outraged by the sexual assault question asked by Hirono at the ACB hearing?' one Twitter user asked.

Barrett, a deeply religious Catholic and mother of seven, has alarmed Democrats by her strident pro-life position.

They suspect that she will vote to repeal Roe v Wade, overturning the law that mandated abortion access across the United States.

They are also concerned that she will work to repeal Obamacare, taking the health coverage away from millions.

The worst year ever, right? Despite Covid, riots and racial strife a record 56% of Americans say they are better off now than they were in 2016

The majority of Americans say they are better off now than they were in 2016 when Barack Obama was in office.

The new Gallup poll found 56 per cent of registered voters believe they are better off now, the highest figures on record.

Only 32 per cent said they were worse off now, despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which has cost many their jobs and businesses, and protests over racial injustice.

In 2012 under Obama, 45 per cent of voters said they were better off than four years previously, while George W. Bush boasted figures of 47 per cent in 2004.

In 1992, under George H.W. Bush, only 38 per cent of voters said they were better off, while in 1984, Ronald Reagan had figures of 44 per cent.

The poll was started after Reagan asked Americans if they think they were better off than they were before his presidency, and is often seen as a key standard for sitting presidents.

But Joe Biden quickly dismissed the findings, saying the voters must have problems with their memory.

The Democratic presidential nominee said he was surprised by the results of the poll.

He was asked by Cincinnati's WKRC: 'Why should people who feel that they're better off today under a Trump administration vote for you?'

Biden responded: 'Well if they think that, they probably shouldn't.'

Then, citing the poll incorrectly, he added: 'They think- 54 per cent of the American people believe they're better off economically today than they were under our administration? Well, their memory is not very good, quite frankly.

'And in addition to that, we have a president who doesn't share the values of most Americans.

'He's not very honest with people. He's flouting the conventions relative to public safety in terms of even now, not wearing a mask, a guy who has been a super spreader.

'But look, whatever they believe they should go out and vote. People should vote. Period.'

Unsurprisingly, Trump seized on the findings, tweeting that the poll was 'incredible'.

He said: '56% of you say that you are better off today, during a pandemic, than you were four years ago (OBiden). Highest number on record! Pretty amazing!'
