Turns Out That Mary Trump Is the Crazy One..

by  ANDREA PEYSER

Mary Trump has got the wrong man.
Her glitzy, buzzy new book, released Tuesday amid a whirlwind of anger, pain and recrimination, is titled “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created The World’s Most Dangerous Man.’’
The titular bogeyman is, of course, her uncle, President Donald J. Trump, who’s presented here as a cross between Hannibal Lecter and Bozo the Clown — a frightening and ridiculous figure who looms titanic over every aspect of Mary’s waking and sleeping life. In 214 often bleak, raw and tear-jerking pages, she sets out to avenge the untimely death of her father, Frederick Christ Trump Jr., known as Freddy.
As she tells it, Donald’s once-handsome and vital older brother, the guy bred to run the Trump family real-estate business, died, broken and bitter, in 1981 at age 42. Mary was 16. Both were forced to watch passively, she writes, as Freddy’s dimmer and less-talented little bro not only usurped his birthright and grabbed heaps of cash from his father Fred Sr., but ran the company into the ground before, by some unjust fluke of nature, being elected leader of the free world.
Her reason for telling the tale now is simple and urgent: Mary Trump believes, with the conviction of the Hillary Clinton supporter she was, that she must prevent her uncle’s re-election — by any means necessary.
It is a family tragedy worthy of Shakespeare, and, like The Bard’s work, it is one of fiction. Because, as Mary Trump acknowledges reluctantly, Freddy Trump never wanted to work for Trump Management, and did everything in his power to escape, earning his pilot’s license, buying fishing boats and fancy cars, and attempting to live as something his grandfather sneeringly called a “chauffeur in the sky.’’

Sheldon Silver must appear in NYC courtroom for sentencing, judge rules

Sheldon Silver failed to convince a judge that the coronavirus pandemic makes it too dangerous for him to get re-sentenced in person for his $4 million bribery scheme.
Manhattan federal Judge Valerie Caproni rejected a request by the once-powerful, former Assembly speaker to appear before her by video-conference on Monday.
“The Courthouse has reopened to the public and implemented screening at entry, mask and social-distancing requirements, and sanitation protocols, among other precautions,” Caproni wrote.
“This Court is currently holding in-person proceedings where those measures are all observed. Accordingly, it is the Court’s preference to conduct Mr. Silver’s resentencing at the Courthouse.”
In a letter last month, the Manhattan Democrat’s lawyers claimed that “barring some unforeseen medical breakthrough … it is simply not safe” for Silver, 76, to show up in court because he’s “among the segment of the population most at risk to suffer severe illness and death from this virus.”
In addition, they said, he “suffers from several pre-existing conditions that greatly increase his risk,” including his “diagnosis and treatment for cancer within the past five years.”
Silver was found guilty of corruption charges in 2015 and was sentenced to seven years in prison, but was allowed to remain free while he mounted an appeal that resulted in his conviction being overturned on a technicality.
He was convicted a second time in 2018, but again remained free for another appeal that resulted in some of the counts being dismissed.
Silver — who’s collecting a $7,000-a-month pension — last month pleaded for leniency in a desperate, hand-written letter to the judge.
“Your Honor, I do not want to die in prison,” he wrote.
“This case has been going on for more than 5 years, but I feel like I have aged 15 or 20 years. My fate is in your hands.”

Pelosi Endorses Omar the Black Somalian Anti-Semite For Re-election To Minnesota Seat

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has endorsed Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for re-election in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, announced Omar’s campaign on Monday.

In touting endorsements from Pelosi and Minnesota House of Representatives Speaker Melissa Hortman, Omar’s campaign said in a statement that the congresswoman “now has the support of the Democratic leaders of both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Minnesota legislature, representing the support of the state and national Democratic party at the highest levels.”
Omar has perpetuated anti-Semitic tropes on Twitter and introduced a resolution in Congress that promotes boycotts of Israel, likening them to boycotts of Nazi Germany.
In February 2019, a month after being sworn in, Omar accused AIPAC of paying members of Congress to back Israel, saying it was “all about the Benjamins.”

Bari Weiss NYT Editor Called "Nazi" by Colleagues Resigns With Open Scathing Letter

New York Times opinion columnist and editor Bari Weiss announced Tuesday she is leaving the NY Times, saying she was bullied by colleagues in an “illiberal environment,” weeks after declaring there was a “civil war” inside the paper.
Weiss published a scathing resignation letter that she sent to Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger on her personal website, noting she doesn’t understand how toxic behavior is allowed inside the newsroom and “showing up for work as a centrist at an American newspaper should not require bravery.”
Before joining the Times, Bari was an op=ed editor at the Wall Street Journal and an associate book review editor there. For two years, she was a senior editor at Tablet, the online magazine of Jewish news, politics, and culture, where she edited the site’s political and news coverage.
The following is her resignation letter, which was published on her website:

Deceased U.S. cat gets voter registration application in mail

Cody the Cat z"l

With just a few months to go until the 2020 presidential election, a family in Atlanta, Georgia recently received a voter registration application in their mailbox.
But the intended recipient of the application wasn't exactly ready and able to register to vote. Ron Tims told WAGA-TV that he checked the mail on Wednesday to discover the voter registration application was addressed to Cody Tims, the family's pet cat that died 12 years ago.
"A great cat, indoor and outdoor, loved his family, loved his neighborhood. He was 18 and a half when he passed away," Carol Tims said.
The Tims family, who keeps Cody's ashes in a green container, said they were both surprised and amused at the mishap.
"There’s a huge push but if they’re trying to register cats, I’m not sure who else they’re trying to register. I’m not sure if they’re trying to register dogs, mice, snakes," Carol joked.
The Secretary of State’s Office told WAGA-TV in a statement that the application did not come from its office and that third-party groups often use mailing lists to get names and addresses.
"Third-party groups all over the country are targeting Georgia to help register qualified individuals," the statement said. "This group makes you wonder what these out-of-town activists are really doing. Make no mistake about it, this office is dedicated to investigating all types of fraud."
The Secretary of State’s Office also confirmed that had Cody been alive, he wouldn't have been able to vote if he showed up to the polls in November.
The reason why? Because he doesn't have a license or state ID, of course.
If you’re wondering how Cody would have voted if he could go to the polls. His owner said he was a DemoCAT.

The vanishing pro-Israel Jewish Liberal Democrat

Eliot Engel with the Tuchis Lekker

Is it possible to be an American Jew who proudly and emphatically supports the State of Israel while embracing the values of the left?

The takeover of the Democratic Party by the ideologues of intersectionality and other far-left philosophies is making this proposition increasingly untenable.

Recent developments have rendered public representatives of the liberal but pro-Israel approach a nearly endangered political species.

This trend, which shows every sign of gathering momentum, will have implications not only for American politics but for the American Jewish community itself.

The recent nationwide unrest and nearly wholesale adoption by Democrats of the radical ideology fueling it have made it apparent to all but the most fervent denialists that postmodern progressivism refuses to accommodate the kind of support for Israel that was once practically taken as a given.

Few politicians have exemplified the combination of liberalism and support for Israel the way congressman Eliot Engel (D) has during his more than 30 years on Capitol Hill, most recently representing New York’s 16th district.

It now appears that his career came to a sudden end with the closing of the polls in his party’s recent primary.

As of this writing, although mail-in ballots are still being counted, it seems extremely unlikely that Engel will overcome the lead of his far-left challenger, Jamaal Bowman. By the time this article is posted, the final results will probably be known.
