The sitra achrah found wonderful accomodations in the Satmar camp together with the other Jew haters of the world, Hamas, Iran, ISIS etc etc..
This hatred is like an Ebola virus that spreads quickly. Witness the ongoings in RBS and Yerushalayim where brave chayalim who are the real heroes of modern day Judaism are actually verbally and physically attacked.
We must stand strong against all the enemies of Judaism so that emes will prevail as it always does.

Derby, I wear my Yerushalayim and Israel pins in my cap every day :)

Dog Someach! Enjoy YOUR so-called holiday to the fullest because those who celebrate this day will definitely NOT celebrate the REAL geula

I'm not so sure that your correct about that, but what I am sure is that your Rebbe Reb Yoel Teitelbaum will not celebrate the "REAL geula"

Hey DOG...... LOL...!!!!!!!! Do Tshuva, 'cause you won't be yechretzing for long...

This is an excerpt sent to me by a family member:

Yom Ha'Atzma'ut: Rav Kook and Zionism :

Rabbi Yaakov David Wilovsky (the “Ridbaz”) of Safed leveled a serious accusation. He accused Rav Kook of abandoning his religious beliefs and becoming a Zionist in his old age.
Rav Kook noted that our generation is not the first to experience a return to the land of Israel comprised primarily of Jews lax in religious observance. When Ezra led the return to Eretz Yisrael in the beginning of the Second Temple Period, many of the Jewish pioneers who joined him were Sabbath-desecrators and worse; and yet this period witnessed the rebuilding of the Temple and tremendous advances in Torah scholarship.

Centuries later, during the corrupt reign of Herod, the nation suffered from a cruel king, far removed from the ideal Jewish leader. The irony of the holy Temple built by Herod, a brutal and paranoid despot, is even greater than the current phenomenon of the Holy Land being resettled by secular pioneers. The actual construction, Rav Kook wrote, “may be carried by those who fail to penetrate the profound secrets of the righteous. And not just the stonemasons; they may even be the ones orchestrating the construction.” Yet this does not sully the innate purity of the lofty objective.

Furthermore, the merit of Eretz Yisrael helps even the unworthy:

"The merit of the Land even protects the wicked. Even a gentile maidservant in the land of Israel is promised a portion in the World to Come (Ketubot 111a). Clearly the Talmud is not speaking of a righteous maidservant, who would anyway merit the World to Come... Rather it is referring to an ordinary maidservant, with sordid deeds and coarse traits. Nonetheless, the merit of living in the land of Israel enables her to gain a portion in the World to Come....

"All the more so [regarding the secular Zionists, since] one may find in every Jew, even the most unworthy, precious gems of good deeds and positive traits. Certainly the land of Israel helps elevate and sanctify them. And if this is not evident in them, it will become so in their descendants."

And what about the Ridbaz's accusations that Rav Kook had descended to heresy, becoming a secular Zionist? Rav Kook responded that Zionism, when based on its true ideals, is nothing to be ashamed of:

"My dear friend! If all Zionists would love the land of Israel and seek the settlement of the Holy Land for the same reason and holy goal that I have in mind -
because it is God's land, special and beloved out of the entire world, containing unique holy qualities that foster prophesy and Divine inspiration... then it would be certainly a great honor for every important rabbi and Torah scholar and tzaddik to be such a Zionist. Even your honor should find nothing objectionable in this form of Zionism."

To summarize the salient points in Rav Kook's views on Zionism:

•There are historical precedents for significant Jewish movements in which irreligious Jews played a major role.
•The special merits of Eretz Yisrael will elevate those who participate in its settlement and rebuilding.
•The original roots of Zionism are holy, going back to the disciples of the Gaon of Vilna and the Baal Shem Tov. Zionism must be returned to these authentic holy roots.
•The success of secular Zionism is due to its non-sectarian concern for the entire Jewish people, and it serves as a necessary correction for the imbalances caused by centuries of statelessness.

If you're not sure if I'm correct about yourself, how are you so sure about someone else? But the words i said that's the words of the SDEI CHEMED in a letter against Zionism written 27 of Nissan 5660 exactly 115 years ago when the Satmar Ruv was only a bar mitzvah boy, but again your stupidity and ignorance will never change because RESHAIM AFILU AL PISCHEI GYHENOM ETC ETC

The Ridvaz was the father in law of TOMAY BIRD COOK
And the famous Sephardic posek the KAF HACHAIM writes in a letter 11 of elul 5680 (1920) on the writings and books of kook that he writes KEFIRA and his books should be burned and so was said and written by other gedolim from that generation NOT satmar

"...Ersht Klasiker Beheima-First class Donkey ..."

First of all, the Chafetz Chaim ruled that one isn't even permitted to speak loshon harah against oneself..

"other gedolim" , means didley squat to me... 10 meraglim gedolim spoke evil against EY, only 2 of that gang praised it.
If I haven't said it a million times, I haven't said it once, that:
Only in a courtroom or maybe in halacha do we go with the rov... Not in emes, hashkafa or truth.. There, just like Avraham Aveinu Ha'Ivri... only one on one side , against the entire world on the other side ... but the truth was with him..
So even if we, the religious Zionists may be outnumbered for argument's sake by the masses of shuckling pappageis , even if we stand alone against the hysterical masses.... we WILL stand... For truth, for hakoras hatov to Hashem, for recognizing the open and hidden miracles of Eretz Yisrael...
Don't waste your time writing about"others" "many" "most"... yada, yada, yada...It means less than a fly on your nose...

Derby...
BTW... I'm researching the pro & con rabbinic camps vis-à-vis- Zionism, and the public would be shocked to know that MANY, MANY rabbonim were PRO Zionists... Rabbonim you & I never heard of, because they were ignored by the writers and anti-Zionist publications... Certainly the masses, the amcha were PRO until they were intimidated and silenced by the gvar alim'nicks who threw pech & shvebel.. Bli neder at another time I'll write about it when I get more info...There's a gold mine of info that was/is surpressed by the anti-Zionist crowd that you wouldn't believe....

Koolum Anoshim in a letter to klall Yisroel even before the "Satmar Ruv" was born, written erev Tisha B'Av, forty days after their mission, exactly to the day when 2 Bet Hamikdashes were destined to be destroyed....
Also NOT Satmar.....

In conclusion, I will wear B"E"H my Israeli Magen David tie throughout Shabbos, as will 3 others in my shul for whom I bought these ties also..
We four will proudly walk into shul despite some hostile stares and snarling comments by a few.. Let it be known that this is the 2nd year we're doing this... And the priceless reaction of some last year, still rings in my head...
"Beautiful" "Chazak" "Kol Hakavod" and from a prominent rav's brother, and I quote him "(my name) , you give me chizuk and that tie brings tears to my eyes.."

Chag Someach & Shabbat Shalom..
