It was not only Israel that Ukraine Dissed in the UN It stabbed the USA also in the UN — despite receiving $175B

 

Despite receiving hundreds of billions of dollars in critical military aid since Russia’s invasion in 2022, Ukraine has made a habit of rejecting US interests at the United Nations, according to a review of State Department data by The Post.

After years of skirmishes, Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 — initiating a bloody ongoing conflict which has cost hundreds of thousands of lives.

The invasion also marked the beginning of a gusher of US military and government aid, with at least $175 billion so far being allocated, according to the Council on Foreign Relations.

That same year, however, Ukraine voted differently than the US on 31% of measures brought before the United Nations General Assembly, according to the data, which shows that the US was in closer alignment with Albania (27%) Iceland (30%) and Micronesia (22%).

As the war raged in 2023, Ukraine’s record slightly improved — voting differently in 24% of cases.

But many of Ukraine’s actions have been in direct opposition to the United States’ position in powderkeg regions, such as the Middle East.

Just days after Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, the UN passed Resolution ES-10/21 calling for an “immediate and sustained” humanitarian truce.

The US led a bloc of 14 nations to oppose it. Ukraine abstained — and did so again in a follow-up resolution demanding a ceasefire in December 2023, which was also opposed by the US.

In November 2023 the United Nations voted to demand the United States lift its trade embargo on Cuba —  with only Israel and the US voting against it. Ukraine abstained.

“I think its disgraceful that a country that is so reliant on the largesse of the United Sates to keep them viable as a nation-state refuses to back our plays in the United Nations and shows that they would rather kowtow to . . . somebody else when we’re the ones keeping them safe,” Jim Hanson, a international affairs consultant in D.C., told The Post.

Among the nations, Israel’s voting record was most closely aligned to the United States with a voting coincidence of over 90% in both years.

Last year’s data is expected to be released by the end of March.

Former MSNBC host Joy Reid went “on a vile antisemitic rant,” in which she blamed Orthodox Jews for the spread of COVID-19 in New York City, a former production assistant at the network claims.

In the summer of 2020, the lefty former “TheReidOut” host allegedly ripped Orthodox Jews, saying they “only care about themselves” and are “in their own bubble,” and accused the group of reckless behavior during the pandemic, according to the PA.

The ex-PA, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said she is speaking out now that Reid’s been axed because “people should know what her character is.”

“They’re the reason why COVID is spreading across New York,” the former staffer claimed Reid said unchallenged during a morning conference call. “They don’t care about COVID or spreading it to others.

“I was shocked she called out a group and generalized them,” said the ex-PA, who is Jewish, who said it was even more shocking that the “other people on the call went along with it as if it’s a normal thing to say.”

About 20 people from the production team were on the call, she recalled.

“No one called her out [saying] ‘Maybe we shouldn’t generalize.’ Imagine if you said that about any other group of people – even if it were true – saying that any other group didn’t care about COVID?

“I remember feeling shocked – shocked by her ignorance and how antisemitic it sounded.”

The source, who felt too “intimidated” as a young staffer to speak out at the meeting, sent a Slack message later that day to her boss, then-senior producer Lorena Ruiz.

In the messages, shared this week with The Post, she expressed her deep concern over the “100 percent antisemitic” comments.

She asked her boss to consider “collective responsibility” since many Orthodox Jews were “part of the many doctors creating the COVID guidelines and restrictions, and risking their lives every day to treat COVID patients.” 

Ruiz replied that the young staffer had a “good point.”

“Joy can be very careless with her language,” she wrote, adding, “Luckily, she is generally better on air than on the calls” before she thanked the junior staffer for “bringing it up,” according to a copy of the messages seen by The Post. 

At the time of its debut in July 2020, the much-hyped 7 p.m. show, “TheReidOut,” was hailed by the left as a fresh voice, covering “the intersection of race, justice and culture.”

From 2016 to 2020, Reid also hosted the weekend political show “AM Joy.”

“It was a very hypocritical atmosphere. It was completely contradictory,” said the source, noting that Reid’s shtick was speaking up for so-called marginalized groups but had no problem blaming Jews for spreading the virus.

“It was very targeted racial issues [on the show] but other discrimination went ignored,” said the former staffer.

She was so “turned off” and stung, she wanted to quit, even going so far as to compose a note of resignation over the inflammatory incident. “I was writing out a text like I don’t feel comfortable continuing on the show,” she said, adding that her family “talked me out of it.” 

The staffer — who worked on Chris Matthews’ “Hardball” show until it was canceled early in 2020 — is now 28 and still works in media. She admitted she felt “very alone and like I was working with people who don’t understand.”

After Reid was canned recently, the former staffer emailed MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler, expressing her “sense of relief” after witnessing firsthand Reid’s “deeply troubling behavior, particularly her vile antisemitism.”

“All these years, I never spoke up about it, except to my closest friends and family,” she said with regret. “I always felt like it was something heavy on my chest.

“I think maybe I should have spoken out to someone higher up or even to her [Reid] herself, that I should have spoken up more.”

NBCUniversal declined to comment.

Neither Reid, her agent nor Ruiz returned messages.

PA ‘Pay-for-Slay’ Fueled 7,000 Terror Attacks Against Israel in 2024

 

Seven thousand attacks That’s how frequently Palestinian Arab terrorists attacked or attempted to attack Israelis in Judea and Samaria during 2024, according to a sobering new report from SSF Rescuers Without Borders.

The emergency aid group’s findings, released Tuesday, paint a picture of relentless violence that claimed 27 lives and left 306 wounded, all outside the more publicized conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, or within Israel proper.

Most prevalent were rock-throwing incidents with 3,668 followed by fire bombs and Molotov cocktails at 843. Innocent Israelis were shot at 179 times across Judea and Samaria and targeted with 526 bombs. Nine stabbings and 12 ramming attacks were listed as “successful” in the clinical language of the report.

Last month, three Palestinian terrorists opened fire on a bus and civilian vehicles traveling on Route 55 near the village of al-Funduq, close to Kedumim. A police officer and two Israeli civilians were killed. Hamas claimed responsibility and called the terror attack a “heroic operation.”

In another incident, a 16-year-old Arab girl from al-Midya attacked an Israeli civilian at a car wash. She stabbed him in the stomach with a knife before the owner and bystanders intervened. Israeli security forces launched a manhunt, and she was eventually transferred to Israel by Palestinian Authority security forces in a move that the Islamic Jihad condemned as dangerous “security coordination” with the Jewish State.

A particularly insidious tactic emerged in 671 reported cases where Arabs used laser devices to blind Israeli drivers leading to fatal crashes. Security experts warn that unless Israel and her allies completely choke off the PA’s notorious “pay-for-slay incentive” program, the toll of Israeli casualties will likely continue to rise in 2025.

Blinken had decided to impose sanctions on an Israeli intelligence unit that interrogated terrorists and called civilians to warn them to evacuate.

 

Blinken attempted to impose sanctions on a crucial Israeli intelligence unit, former Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Herzog revealed in an interview with Israel Hayom this week.

The ambassador told Ariel Kahana that Blinken had decided to impose sanctions on Unit 504 of the Military Intelligence Directorate, which was involved in investigating the October 7 massacre, interrogating captured terrorists, and making thousands of calls and sending millions of messages to warn civilians in Gaza to leave dangerous areas.

"He had already decided [to impose sanctions on the unit]. We managed to prevent him from bringing down the axe at the last minute," Herzog said.

He noted that “there are a lot of anti-Israel people in the State Department who put obstacles in the way" of Israel's response to the October 7 massacre.

"There were difficult moments, and there were cases when the Americans went crazy," he said, describing the tensions between Israel and the US during the war. "More than once they really attacked me and said, 'You're crazy, you've fallen on your head, how could you do something like this that would lead to an escalation? You'll drag us into war because you didn't think it through to the end and then ask us to come and rescue you.' There were tough arguments about things Israel did that, in their eyes, was one step too far."

Herzog criticized the US for withholding 2,000 bombs from Israel over Israel's plans to attack the last remaining Hamas battalions in Rafah last year. The operation in Rafah did not result in the humanitarian disaster the Biden Administration claimed it would. "Who even remembers Rafah today?” Herzog said.

Despite these disputes and problematic actions, the ambassador said that there was more good than bad in the US-Israel relationship during the war because Israel continued to receive smaller munitions and because the US assisted in shooting down the hundreds of missiles and attack drones Iran launched at Israel in two massive attacks in 2024.

Israel's "Deep State" Doesn’t Get Any Deeper Than This

The extent to which Israel is ruled by unelected officials is difficult to convey to outsiders. It sounds too fantastic. So fantastic in fact, that it may be best described as “legal surrealism.”

Our rulers sound like they speak the language of politics and law, but much of what they say makes no sense at all. Consider the case of Benjamin Netanyahu’s testimony in his own trial.

Though Israel is in a state of war on several fronts, the judges presiding in that trial are forcing him to testify three days a week, every week, because, they have argued, it is “in the public interest” to bring the trial to a speedy conclusion. So, determining the exact number of cigars that Mr. Netanyahu received as gifts from friends has come to take precedence over his running of the war.

The judges know, of course, that they will pay no price for their risible definition of “the public interest,” which the public itself would undoubtedly have rejected. Because Israel’s deep state has achieved the dream of bureaucrats since the dawn of bureaucracy: the complete divorce of authority from accountability. The judges know that if their lopsided priorities hinder the war effort, it will be the prime minister, not those who coerced him, who will pay the political price.

At this late stage in the game, one may speculate that this is exactly the point of their whole exercise. Because the Netanyahu trial is not a real criminal procedure. It is a means for doing what elections could not: removing him from power. It is an arena of the struggle for supremacy between democracy on the one hand and the administrative state on the other.

The exacting schedule that the judges have imposed on the prime minister is less a reflection of any tangible public interest, and more part of a trap that our clever jurists have laid down for Netanyahu. You see, they have invented something they call “essential incapacitation.”

Contrary to the explicit meaning of incapacitation clauses in the laws of Western democracies, including those in the United States and Israel, this helpful little judicial gadget extends the idea of medical incapacitation to the realm of scheduling conflicts. According to this new abracadabra, if Netanyahu argues appearing in court three days a week impairs his ability to run the war, then the attorney general can declare him “essentially incapacitated” from preforming his duties, and thus overrule the results of a legal election.

Washington Post Reporter Quits After Bezos Orders Opinion Page to Defend Free Markets, Personal Liberty

 

Washington Post opinion editor David Shipley resigned Tuesday after the paper’s owner, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced that, going forward, on the opinion pages, “We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets.

he added, “but viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others.”

“I am of America and for America, and proud to be so. Our country did not get here by being typical,” Bezos continued. “And a big part of America’s success has been freedom in the economic realm and everywhere else.”

He stressed that “Freedom is ethical — it minimizes coercion — and practical — it drives creativity, invention, and prosperity.”

Of Shipley, Bezos said, “I offered David Shipley, whom I greatly admire, the opportunity to lead this new chapter. I suggested to him that if the answer wasn’t ‘hell yes,’ then it had to be ‘no.’”

“After careful consideration, David decided to step away.”

Yeah, that’s a shame.

“I’m confident that free markets and personal liberties are right for America. I also believe these viewpoints are underserved in the current market of ideas and news opinion,” Bezos said in closing. “I’m excited for us together to fill that void.”

One crybaby Post staffer has already threatened to quit: “I still have not felt encroachment on my journalism on the news side of coverage,” wrote someone who works at the Post named Jeff Stein, “but if Bezos tries interfering with the news side I will be quitting immediately and letting you know.”

Yeah, you let us know, Jeff. We’ll all be right here on the edge of our seats waiting for you to let us know.

A crybaby Post subscriber who does legal analysis for cable news is so offended by the idea of defending free markets and personal liberty, he canceled his subscription.

This looks to me like a Trump-style move to rid his failing newspaper of the Woke Parasites eating it alive. Maybe this will get more of them to self-deport quit in a huff like Jennifer Rubin did (nobody misses her). That way there’s no severance or lawsuits.

All of this leaves me with questions… How serious is Bezos? If we will finally have an establishment media outlet recognize that individual liberty and free markets are worth defending, that would be a sea change within an overall media institution that seeks to enslave us with a “benevolent” centralized government only interested in “fairness” and “equity” and the “greater good.”

What is his definition of personal liberty?  Does Bezos recognize that forcing an individual to use certain pronouns is fascism, or does he believe “personal liberty” means some pervert must be addressed using the pervert’s preferred pronouns?

Let’s say, though, that Bezos gets it, which would be fantastic. Is this new editorial policy enough of a shift towards sanity to save the Post, or is it too late?

My guess is that it’s too late, which is a shame if Bezos is indeed sincere.

Elon Musk Slams Netanyahu Trial – ‘Deep State is Everywhere’ -

Billionaire tech mogul and administrator of the federal Department of Government Efficiency Elon Musk defended Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, criticizing the ongoing corruption trial of the Israeli leader.

On Monday night, Musk retweeted a link to a YouTube clip of a two-year-old documentary on the ongoing criminal trial against the prime minister, which combines three separate accusations, spanning Cases 1000, 2000, and 4000.

The clip was tweeted last week by Fox News host and conservative pundit Mark Levin, who captioned the link “The legal war against Netanyahu.”

Musk retweeted the link, adding, “The deep state is everywhere.”

The Netanyahu trial — which includes charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust over the prime minister’s alleged efforts to speed up already approved regulatory changes in exchange for favorable coverage by the Walla news site, plans to curtail the free distribution of a newspaper in exchange for positive coverage by a rival paper, and help businessmen in exchange for large gifts — was kicked off following the November 21, 2019, indictment of the prime minister.

While the trial began in May 2020, it has been repeatedly delayed due to the COVID pandemic, Israel’s political crisis from 2019 to 2022, and the war in Gaza.

Critics have accused prosecutors of attempting a putsch, arguing that there is no legal precedent for considering desirable coverage bribery, and dismissing claims of positive coverage by either outlet cited in the corruption investigations.

Musk, who met with Netanyahu earlier this month, was defended by Netanyahu from accusations of anti-Semitism in January, after some interpreted his hand gesture at a Trump inauguration event as a Nazi salute.

“Elon Musk is being falsely smeared,” Netanyahu tweeted.

“Elon is a great friend of Israel. He visited Israel after the October 7 massacre in which Hamas terrorists committed the worst atrocity against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

“He has since repeatedly and forcefully supported Israel’s right to defend itself against genocidal terrorists and regimes who seek to annihilate the one and only Jewish state.”

In other Netanyahu related news, WIN reported on Tuesday that the leader of Germany’s largest political party and the candidate most likely to replace outgoing Chancellor Olaf Scholz came under fire this week after he invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to visit the country.

On Sunday, an alliance of the center-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Christian Social Union (CSU) won a combined 208 seats in the 630-member German parliament, defeating the center-left SPD, which plummeted to third place, behind the rightist Alternative for Deutschland (AfD).

The election has positioned CDU/CSU chairman Friedrich Merz as the natural candidate for the chancellorship, though he will face tough coalition talks to secure a majority as long as he adheres to his pledge not to form a government with the AfD.

Hours after his victory, Merz spoke by phone with Netanyahu, who congratulated him on his victory and on becoming chancellor-designate.

During their talk, Merz invited Netanyahu to visit Germany, pledging to ensure that the Israeli premier would not face prosecution under the International Criminal Court arrest warrant issued last year over the war against Hamas.

“Chancellor-designate Merz thanked the Prime Minister for the conversation and said that he would invite him to make an official visit to Germany, in overt defiance of the scandalous International Criminal Court decision to label the Prime Minister a war criminal,” the Prime Minister’s Office said on Sunday.

A day later, Merz confirmed to reporters that he had indeed invited Netanyahu to visit Germany in defiance of the ICC arrest warrant.

“I think it is a completely absurd idea that an Israeli prime minister cannot visit the Federal Republic of Germany,” Merz said.

Megyn Kelly Destroys Rachel Maddow: ‘Sanctimonious Fraud’ Smears MSNBC Over Joy Reid Firing

  Megyn Kelly unloaded on Rachel Maddow, calling out the MSNBC host for her self-righteous meltdown over the network’s long-overdue firing of Joy Reid—ironically the most racist figure on the channel. Maddow, ever the opportunistic activist, used her Monday night show to paint MSNBC as a hotbed of bigotry, whining about “diversity” while conveniently ignoring the fact that her own bloated salary might be a factor in the network’s budget cuts.

Kelly didn’t hold back on her SiriusXM show Tuesday, torching Maddow’s over-the-top virtue signaling.

CBS Lies About Hunter Biden and Covid Exposed!

 

Fired CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge posted photos of the confidential files seized by the network — which “included sensitive reporting about COVID-19 origins and Hunter Biden.”

The award-winning investigative journalist — who was dismissed last February as part of wider layoffs by embattled parent company Parent Global — stirred a firestorm in her bid to regain the materials before the network gave back the items weeks later.

“Exactly one year ago, @CBSNews returned my investigative reporting files,” Herridge wrote on X on Wednesday.

“Today, I am releasing photos of the records for the first time so you can see the sheer volume involved.”

One photo showed stacks of folders next to a Home Depot-labeled box.

Herridge wrote that the material encompassed four large moving boxes weighing over 100 pounds in total that were seized by the network.

Herridge referred to CBS News’ actions as a “journalistic rape” and “an attack on investigative journalism.”

“I hope no investigative reporter has to suffer a similar injustice in the future,” she added.

A CBS News spokesperson declined to comment.
