In Response to the "Letter to the Editor" of the Flatbush Jewish Journal from Rabbi Morris Goldman of NJ

DIN: I came across this "letter to the editor" to the FJJ, The Flatbush Jewish Journal,  from a guy who calls himself "Rabbi Morris Goldman" and who lives in West Orange, New Jersey! This "Goldman" character is answering  a previous "letter to the editor" in the Flatbush Jewish Journal written by a Moshe Bodner in the January 30 edition of the FJJ

ASK THE RABBI?

The January 23, 2025 issue published an excerpt from the book Ask The Rabbi by Chaim Mintz, Artscroll Productions. The questioner acknowledged that secular Zionism is flawed and asked whether religious Zionism is also flawed?

The response was "Yes, the accepted Torah-true worldview based on Talmud (Kesuvos 111a) is that we are not to have any Jewish-run government at all until the arrival of Moshiach." As you are aware, many "Torah true" rabbis do not agree with Rabbi Mintz's view, and it is, at the very least, questionable whether we may rely on Aggadata for Psak Halacha. Is this position, that Religious Zionism is contrary to halacha, held by the FJJ ownership and editors?

 Moshe Bodner Woodmere, NY

I must address the response of  "Rabbi" Goldman to the Bodner letter because the FJJ has a pretty large circulation and some readers may take Goldman's letter as fact when in truth it is full of half-truths and whole lies!

I will break up his letter and respond to his fictitious thoughts!

MG (Morris Goldman): In response to Moshe Bodner's letter last week in regards to the Torah Hashkafa about the religious Zionism ideology, in which he wrote that there are many ''Torah true rabbis'' that do not hold of Rabbi Mintz's view that religious Zionism is also flawed.

DIN: I don't know who this Rabbi Mintz is but I can say that Rabbi Mintz's view goes contrary to the Avnei Nezer, Drishas Tzyon, Netziv , Rav Teichtal, Rav Henkin etc .

In fact we spoke a lot about this previously on this blog and we pointed out that the Gemarra that Rabbi Mintz quotes is an "aggadetta" and this view is not brought in the Rambam's Mishna Torah, nor is it brought down anywhere in the entire Shulchan Aruch!

The gemarrah itself doesn't mention when this "oath" took place, with whom it took place, and who was there when it took place and where it took place!

What is fascinating is that the Maharsha who is on constant alert and explains all aggadetas,  doesn't say one word and skips over this gemarrah! ! What is also interesting is that Ezra HaSofer totally ignored this quoted gamarrah and made Aliya and cursed those who remained in Baval!

Not only that but most of the greatest Tzaddikim ignored that aggadeta and made Aliyah, The Ramban, The Gra and the Besht were on the way but were prevented for one reason or another but their Talmedim made aliya in mass! The Chafetz Chayim sold his home in Radin to make Aliyah but had to abandon his plans! The Gerer Rebbe, the Belzer Rebbe, The Biayler Rebbe, The Kloizinberger, Rav Chaim Zonninfeld, Rav Dushinsky,The Chazon Ish, The Steipler, Rav Shach, Rav Shteinman, ...I can go on and on..all made Aliyah!! And now I'll reveal a secret ...Even the Satmar Rebbe made Aliyah, but then relocated to the US after his Chassidim in Israel rejected him because of his terrible advice pre WW2 that Jews should not emigrate to the US as that was a "treifine medina" and to Israel as that was Zionistic!

MG: I just wanted to say that you can actually look at the archives of the Agudas Yisroel asifa in the 1930's,  in which a poll was conducted among the participating rabbis, and almost all the rabbis there were strongly against the founding of the state and against the ideology that they were trying to promote. You can see for yourself at how they write about the idea.

DIN: The 3rd Knessiya Gedolah was held in Marienbad in Sept 1937 There was no "poll"!  At this conference, the Aguda reiterated their anti-Zionist positions and distanced themselves from the Mizrachi Movement that was founded by the great Gaon and Tzaddik Rav Yitzchok Yaakov Reines z"l!

As an aside, note that the Netziv was one of the founders of the Choiveve Tzion, a Zionist Religious Organization encouraging a State !

Ironically, the Agudah took part in the St. James Palace Conference convened by the British just two years later early in 1939, and coordinated and partnered with the Zionists! Since you asked readers to "look at the archives" I did and found this fact!

But It's important to point out that the Agudah dropped its anti-Zionist position after the Holocaust, when they realized albeit too late that if a State had been established then it would have saved 6 million Jews!

In fact, Aguda established a political party in Israel endorsed by its Gedoilim and appointed members who ran and won seats in the Zionist Knesset. So much for Rabbi Mintz's ridiculous arrogant opinions!

MG: For example, R' Elchanan Wasserman who wrote against the Zionist movement very strongly.

DIN: True, but if instead of fighting Zionism, he would have supported a State, he could have saved himself and his entire Yeshiva from annihilation! Most Chareidie Rabbanim dropped their anti-Zionism stance while witnessing the largest destruction of the Jewish people in its entire history!

MG: And even among our Gedolim in America you can hear how R' Avigdor Miller speaks about it in every other speech in which he denounces the state and their leaders, and states that the entire founding of the state is against Halacha and hashkafa of a frum Torah jew.

DIN: I'm glad you brought up R' Avigdor Miller who I knew personally and was at his Q&A on Sunday in Flatbush many times!

With all due respect to Rav Miller, he was in the USA in a warm comfortable home when my grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins, and two brothers were being gassed to death! אינו דומה שמיעה לריאה!

Rav Miller wrote a book  called "A Divine Madness' where he outrageously actually blames the Holocaust on Zionism!????

One could argue in reverse, the argument put forth by Rav Teictal in his sefer Eim Habanim Semicha, that the Holocaust happened because the Jews DIDN'T listen to the call of the Zionists, and instead chose to remain in the galuth!

Interesting that he refrained from publishing this work while he was alive, and kept it in his drawer in a manuscript, it was published posthumously by a grandchild ! Many Holocaust survivors were outraged, in fact, the Kloizinberger Rebbe z"l who lost a wife and 11 children in the Holocaust said in response to people who said they knew what the reason of the Holocaust was  "He who knows, would never speak, and He who speaks doesn't know"?

It's important to point out that in the early 50s and 60s Neturei Karta  could not understand or speak English and it was Rav Avigdar Miller who translated all the Neturei Karta hate propaganda against the Jewish State from Yiddish into English!

As far as Goldman's comment that "that the entire founding of the state is against Halacha and hashkafa of a frum Torah Jew." this statement is not only patently false but a total distortion of the views of Gedoilei Yisrael such as Hav Kalisher, Harav Reinis, the Netziv, Harav Kook, Rav Teichtal, Rav Henkin etc.and more recently the Rabbis of Gur, Belz, Slonim, Stolin and Rav Shach, Rav Chaim Kanievski, Rav Ovadia Yosef all who appointed their own members to the Zionist Knesset, and established their own parties!

MR:  That is besides for the fact that how can we forget the thousands that lost their whole heritage due to the state forcing them to cut off their payos and forcing them to desecrate the Shabbos. (for ex. Yaldei Taimen,Yaldei Tehran).

DIN: I have to admit that this was a tragic period in the founding of the state, but I see that Goldman doesn't write the epilogue where Haaretz did a survey about two years ago and found that many of these descendants have now returned to Yiddishkeit and have beautiful families! While in the USA, children of Chareidie families have totally abandoned their Chareidie backgrounds and became OTD with many marrying shiksas! At least in Israel, there is a 95% chance according to the latest Pew Research Poll that a Chilonie will marry another Jew!

MG: As mentioned, we must stay far away from these people that are trying to do everything in their power to make other things (that the Gedolim said is Kefira) more important than our holy Torah of the past thousands of years. I would like if the writer can please write in which rabbis you know that hold of such things.

DIN: Yes, stay far away from us with your crazed childish false views! I listed above a partial tiny list from Hundreds of Great Talmeide Chachamim who do "hold such things"

Hey Goldman, what are you doing living in West Orange? How many of the residents are intermarried? How many are OTD?

What I am amazed is that a guy calling himself "Rabbi" living in the comfort of his home in West Orange NJ, spews hate and vitriol on the Jewish people and their rabbanim living in Israel, while Jewish children in uniform are still dying, and millions of Goldman's brothers and sisters are still running to shelters!

The Talmud in Chulin 63b states:

אמר רב אבהו, ראה זו איה, ולמה נקרא שמה ראה

עומדת בבבל וראה נבלה בארץ ישראל

"Rabbi Abahu said, the bird called Raah is the same bird called Ayah. Why is this bird called Raah? Because the bird stands in Babylon and can see a carcass in Eretz Yisrael!"

The Baal Shem Tov asks, if Hashem created this bird that it can see so well, why is this bird Tamei?

Mr. Goldman... Listen to his answer!

The Baal Shem Tov answers that if a person is in Chutz Le'aartz and sees a "neveilah" in Eretz Yisrael, he sees only bad things, he sees chilonim, he sees Zionists, a person like this can only be tamei!

מי שפוסל במימו פוסל

Calling Rabbanim who are Religious Zionists... "Flawed!" Is being mevazeh Talmeidi Chachamim!  From Goldman's letter is משמע that one cannot be mevazeh Chareidie Rabbanim, but being mevazeh Religious Zionist Rabbanim is no problem!

The Goldmans of this world are blind to the fact that the Ribbono Shel Olam orchestrated the founding of the State so that all Jews would have a home, no questions asked! Pretty soon the goyim in West Orange New Jersey are going to round up the Jews there, where will the Goldmans run??

MG: Rabbi Morris Goldman West Orange, New Jersey

DIN: The Mintzs and the Goldmans of this world are not bringing us any closer to Mashiach!

Australian Health Minister Speaking on the Two Hamas Nurses

The perverse reasons Hamas and Iran are happy for the cease-fire to collapse and war in Gaza to resume

The fragile cease-fire that stopped 15 months of war in the Gaza Strip looks increasingly likely to end at noon on Saturday after just 27 days.

President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have said intense fighting would resume in the war-torn enclave unless Hamas releases all hostages in Gaza by that deadline.

Currently, 31 people are being held in the Palestinian enclave, along with the bodies of 36 others.

The ultimatum comes after the Iran-backed terror group’s decision to withhold the release of the next three hostages scheduled for Saturday after accusing Israel of violating the terms of the cease-fire agreement.

With Israel and Hamas both preparing their forces to resume war, and mediators scrambling to broker peace, the fate of the hostages and civilians caught in the middle remains unclear.

However, a return to war may be just what Hamas and its backers in Tehran want, experts say.

That’s despite Hamas’ Health Ministry reporting a terrible cost to the war: Officials say more than 48,000 people have been killed, though that figure doesn’t distinguish between terrorists and civilians.

What’s more, Netanyahu’s government and his allies in Washington have become increasingly convinced that the cease-fire is no longer tenable, many observers believe.

Following the start of the cease-fire deal on Jan. 19, Hamas shocked the world by orchestrating large parades during the weekend hostage exchanges, boasting its ability to rebuild its forces despite Israel’s claim that it killed more than 17,000 fighters.

According to some intel reports, the terror group has used the destruction and deaths in Gaza to recruit and replenish its forces.

As a result, the group has little to lose if the war resumes as Hamas attempts to gain even more concessions from Israel.

Joe Truzman, a senior research analyst at the Foundation for Defending Democracy, said Hamas knows the leverage it holds following the outrage from last Saturday’s hostage exchange, which saw three Israelis, who appeared to be emaciated, paraded through Gaza City.

“Hamas is capitalizing on the public outrage generated by the distressing images of emaciated hostages to amplify pressure on the Israeli government for further concessions,” Truzman said in a statement.

DemonRats Losing it! Faking another Trump ‘crisis’

On Saturday US District Judge Paul Engelmayer, an Obama appointee, barred “political appointees” from accessing internal Treasury Department systems — an utterly baseless, and frankly ludicrous, order.

In effect, Engelmayer prohibited Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and his politically accountable employees, along with Elon Musk and President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, from doing their jobs, in favor of rule by unelected bureaucrats.

The Constitution nowhere empowers the judiciary to issue such a ruling, so in response, Vice President JD Vance correctly posted on X: “Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”

Then the left lost its mind.

Pam Bondi Blindsides New York's Kathy Hochul and Letitia James with Federal Charges

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Wednesday that New York is being sued by the Justice Department for its efforts to shield illegal immigrants.

“This is a new DOJ and we are taking steps to protect Americans,“ Bondi said, according to a video posted to social media platform X.

“New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens. It stops. It stops today,” Bondi said.

“As you know, we sued Illinois and New York didn’t listen, so now you’re next,” she said, according to Spectrum News.

"If you don't comply with federal law, we will hold you accountable," Bondi said. "We did it to Illinois, strike one. Strike two is New York. And if you are a state not complying with federal law, you're next. Get ready," according to Fox News.

Bondi announced that the lawsuit is targeting Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, Attorney General Letitia James, and Mark Schroeder, the state commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles, according to USA Today.

Six days ago, the federal government sued Illinois and Chicago over their sanctuary policies that protect illegal immigrants from being deported, according to Spectrum.

Bondi said state officials in New York were targeted because of the state’s law that cripples federal immigration authorities when they seek to use state DMV data on illegal immigrants.

"They have a 'tip-off' provision that requires New York's DMV commissioner to promptly inform any illegal alien when a federal immigration agency has requested their information," Bondi said, according to WABC-TV.

"It's tipping off an illegal alien. And it's unconstitutional, and that's why we filed this lawsuit," she said.

“Violent criminals, gang members, drug traffickers, human smugglers will no longer terrorize the American people, and that is why we are here today,” Bondi said, according to Spectrum.

Bondi said the Justice Department will not stop at two states.

“We don’t want to sue you,” she said. “We don’t want to prosecute people. We want people to comply with the law.”

Hochul is scheduled to meet President Donald Trump Thursday.

'USA will allow Israel to remain in Lebanon'

Senior members of the security cabinet have reported that Israel has received approval from the United States to continue the IDF presence at several points in southern Lebanon beyond the expected ceasefire date of February 18.

Kan reports that according to senior officials, the Israeli and American teams discussed the matter before and during the meeting last week between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump. Preliminary understandings were reached, and further work is expected to close the details.

The senior officials noted that the IDF presence in parts of southern Lebanon was necessary to ensure the security of the residents of the north, and that the United States understood this.

Earlier today, the Lebanese television station LBCI reported that the monitoring committee for the implementation of the ceasefire had received a request from Israel to leave IDF forces in some positions in southern Lebanon until February 28, but Lebanon had flatly rejected the request.

Israel considering strikes on Iranian nuclear sites

US intelligence agencies concluded during the final days of the Biden administration that Israel is considering significant strikes on Iranian nuclear sites this year, officials familiar with the report told The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.

According to the report, another intelligence assessment written in the early days of the Trump administration also determined that Israel is considering strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities.

US military officials said that American support, including arms, is essential for Israel to carry out such attacks.

The report follows comments from US President Donald Trump in recent days that he would rather reach a deal with Iran on its nuclear program than have Israel attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In 2018, during his first term in office, Trump withdrew from the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers, reinstating strict US sanctions as part of his "maximum pressure" campaign against Tehran.

In response, Iran has taken many steps to scale back its compliance with the deal.

In its latest step to advance its nuclear program, Iran recently informed the IAEA of its intention to "significantly increase" its production of uranium enriched up to 60 percent.

Since the start of his second term, Trump has reaffirmed his “maximum pressure” approach against Iran, and this past week imposed financial sanctions on individuals and entities accused of facilitating the shipment of hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of Iranian crude oil to China.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, last week cautioned the government against engaging in talks with Washington, describing such a move as “reckless.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi made clear on Saturday that Iran is open to negotiations with the United States but not under Trump’s “maximum pressure” strategy.

“The lifting of sanctions requires negotiations, but not within the framework of a ‘maximum pressure’ policy, because it would not be a negotiation but a form of surrender,” Araqchi stated in a message published on Telegram.

Listen to The Times of London columnist Melanie Phillips Explain The Trump Gaza Idea ...

Chuck Schumer's new whistleblower tip line backfired

It comes as the Trump administration has been working to shutter federal agencies, shrink the workforce and freeze federal funding in a series of moves that have caused chaos and confusion for workers across the government.

'I’m launching a new portal for anyone who wants to expose corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety with the legal protections of being a whistleblower,' Schumer wrote. More than 30,000 people responded to his post with many users blasting Democrats with their own accusations.

Senator Ted Cruz was among those to get in on it with his own repost on X. 'Great! I wanna report: Joe Biden Kamala Harris Chuck Schumer And the entire corrupt Democrat party that weaponized & abused the federal government for the past four years,' the Texas lawmaker wrote.

Multiple conservative commentators and MAGA loyalists also chimed in online to report Schumer. Several pointed to a speech the senator made back in March 2020 where he said Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh had 'released the whirlwind' and should 'pay the price.'

The commentators accused Schumer of threatening the justices for his speech. While some made accusations against Democrats, other made jokes about getting ousted from jobs for clearly made-up outlandish behavior.

One X user said they wanted to file a criminal complaint about being subjected to the videos of Democrats protesting outside buildings across Washington, DC. It included a video of Schumer and Congresswoman Maxine Waters chanting 'we will win' as they protested last week.

Others posted about wasteful government spending as they slammed Democratic lawmakers for the debt and massive budgets despite past spending bills passed with bipartisan support. One user even posted an image previously shared by Schumer himself where he was grilling but put cheese on an uncooked burger. The caption for the image said the senator can't grill.

The whistleblower form itself was set up to link to the Senate Democrats' webpage. The caption read that whistleblowers 'are a vital part of Congressional oversight to hold the administration accountable.' Users could then use the form to report complaints about retaliation, wasteful spending, fraud, criminal activity or other. But thousands of X users signaled they were swamping the form using fake names, contact information and information.

Tragedy in Ramat Beit Shemesh Alef As Man Kills Himself While Fighting With His Neighbor

Tragedy struck the quiet neighborhood of Ramat Beit Shemesh A this evening, as a man was shot and killed on Nahal Shimshon Street.*

Emergency services pronounced the victim dead at the scene, while police cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

According to a police report, the shooting occurred after officers responded to a call about a suspect armed with a handgun, who was allegedly threatening his neighbor following a dispute. Upon arrival, the officers found the suspect, a resident of Beit Shemesh in his 40s, reeking of alcohol and handling his weapon. The officers ordered him to cooperate and place his hands on the vehicle, but he refused. In an attempt to subdue the suspect, an officer grabbed him forcefully, at which point the suspect pulled out his gun and shot himself. The officer was not injured.

Medical personnel pronounced the suspect dead at the scene. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, including examining the testimony of an eyewitness who claimed that the suspect attempted to aim his weapon at the officer before shooting himself.

The incident has left the community in shock and mourning, and the investigation is ongoing.

Marc Fogel realeased from Russia after 4 years of captivity meets with Trump at the White House. ברוך מתיר אסורים

Marc Fogel, a 63-year-old American teacher from Butler, Pennsylvania, has been released from Russian custody after being detained since August 2021. Fogel was arrested at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport for possessing medically prescribed marijuana and was subsequently sentenced to 14 years in a Russian penal colony.

His release was secured following negotiations led by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, appointed by President Donald Trump. Upon his return to the United States, Fogel met with President Trump at the White House. Expressing his gratitude, Fogel stated, “I’m forever indebted to President Trump.”

Fogel’s release comes after his 95-year-old mother, Malphine Fogel, met with President Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. During their brief backstage meeting, she pleaded for her son’s freedom, to which President Trump responded with a promise to “get him out.” He later reiterated this commitment during his speech at the rally.

The White House has hailed Fogel’s release as a positive development in U.S.-Russia relations and a potential step toward resolving ongoing geopolitical tensions.

This is a developing story.

Pro-Hamas Arab activist Yvonne Ridley cites "goody bags" that were given to freed hostages as examples of Hamas' kindness

British journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer interviewed pro-Palestinian Arab activist Yvonne Ridley on the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage release deal.

During the interview, Ridley insisted that Hamas had been kind to Israel, and cited as an example the “goody bags” that were given to Israeli hostages as they were freed.

The bags given to the freed hostages reportedly contained a map of the Gaza Strip and photos of the returnees from their time in captivity.

Hartley-Brewer noted US President Donald Trump’s demand that Hamas free all the hostages it is holding by 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and asked Ridley, “Is there any argument that you, as someone who desperately cares about innocent people, those hostages are innocent people, are they not? Is there any reason why Hamas couldn't and shouldn't release them all?”

Ridley replied, “Once the hostages go, and every act of kindness that has been shown to Israel has just been backlashed…”

Hartley-Brewer, who was floored by the reply, then said, “Sorry, sorry, every act of kindness? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Do tell me what the acts of kindness were. The pita bread once every three days for those men kept in a tunnel for 16 months? How generous, how kind.”

Ridley then said, “I'm not focusing on the three men. If we look at the women…” at which point Hartley-Brewer interrupted her and said, “Oh, you're going to go there. You're going to go there. Didn't they look well and healthy, Yvonne? Didn't they look well? They must have had a wonderful time at that holiday camp that Hamas ran for them for the last 16 months. When you were held hostage by the Taliban, you were fed, you had cigarettes, you were looked after, you weren't in fear for your life. Those women, those men, the children, the elderly, the sick, they lived in fear every day.”

Ridley replied, “They would be in an Israeli prison, that's for sure. We've had a doctor who was raped to death and then the Israelis called it self-defense. When did rape become self-defense?” citing an uncorroborated story.

“Well, yeah, you tell me. Let's ask your friends in Hamas, Yvonne. I'm not saying there aren't atrocities committed by some Israeli forces and some of them end up in court, and rightly so, and they should all end up in court. I'm not defending any atrocities that are committed by any side. I want to know, what were the acts of kindness that Hamas did that have been thrown back in their face by Israel? What were those acts of kindness?” Hartley-Brewer asked.

“Well, they gave them goody bags. I don't know what was in them, but they gave them gifts. They gave them little mementos, Palestinian mementos,” Ridley stated.

Hartley-Brewer, who was astonished by the response, said, “The acts of kindness from your hostage-taker, the man who's kidnapped you and terrified you and starved you for months. Yvonne, what's happened to you?”

Ridley replied that she has “watched day-in, day-out, pictures of children being blown to shreds…I have watched war crimes being committed.”

Hartley-Brewer pointed out to her, “You know who puts those images out? Hamas. You know why we never see images of Hamas fighters being blown up? Because Hamas don't allow those out...those children, who put those innocent people in harm's way? Hamas.”

Ridley then claimed that Hartley-Brewer’s statement is “ridiculous”, to which the journalist replied, “That's ridiculous? They went into Israel to massacre innocent people and they took hostages. Were they surprised that Israel struck back and wanted their hostages back? No, of course they weren't. They knew what would happen.”

Hypocrisy!!! UN Orders An End to Humanitarian Aid to Yemen Because They are Holding 24 UN Staffers Hostage but the same UN Pressured Israel to Give Aid to Gazan Terrorists

The antisemitic United Nations insisted on supplying “humanitarian aid” to Gaza even when it was clear that it was being diverted by the Hamas terror group; has decried Israeli attacks on Gazan hospitals even after it was proven that they were being used as terror strongholds; and even failed to act when their own employees were found to be moonlighting as Hamas terrorists and involved in committing atrocities against Israelis.

However, it has now become apparent that one thing will change the sham organization’s tune. Although they are happy for Israelis to risk their lives by living next door to a terror state and even insist that Israel should provide “aid” to its own enemies, they won’t put their own hides at risk.

The UN announced on Monday that in an “extraordinary decision,” it is suspending all of its humanitarian aid activities in Yemen’s Sa’ada region after Houthi terrorists detained eight more U.N. employees.

Since 2021, the Houthis have abducted dozens of U.N. staff and has increased its abductions in recent months. The terror group is currently holding 24 U.N. staff.

“This extraordinary and temporary measure seeks to balance the imperative to stay and deliver with the need to have the safety and security of the U.N. personnel and its partners guaranteed,” deputy U.N. spokesperson Farhan Haq said.

“This pause is to give time to the de facto authorities and the United Nations to arrange the release of arbitrarily detained U.N. personnel and ensure that the necessary conditions are in place to deliver critical humanitarian support. The United Nations remains fully committed to assist the millions of people in need across Yemen.”

On Tuesday, a day after the suspension, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) announced that one of its staff members had died in detention in Yemen. In what is a pattern of ignoring evil, the statement did not mention that a terror group was involved in the “detention,” instead saying that he was one of “seven national staff arbitarily detained by ‘local authorities’ since January 23.”

Another "Beeper Like " Attack coming ? Hamas Terror Chiefs Ordered to Ditch Cell Phones Over Surveillance Fears

Senior Hamas officials in Gaza have been instructed to stop using their cell phones due to concerns that Israeli forces could track their locations, according to a report by Saudi news outlet Asharq Al-Awsat. The directive reportedly comes from the terror group’s senior leadership as tensions rise over a possible return to full-scale combat.

The warning follows Israel’s ultimatum to Hamas, stating that “intense fighting” will resume if the group does not release a specific number of hostages by Saturday. However, it remains unclear how many captives Israel expects to be freed.

Sources within Hamas indicate that the decision to restrict phone use was made before the group announced a delay in hostage releases set for the coming weekend. Originally, the order was intended to be implemented at the conclusion of the ceasefire’s first phase, but it was pushed forward due to growing concerns that the agreement might collapse sooner than anticipated.

The primary reason for the ban, according to the report, is Hamas’ fear that Israel could use cell phone signals to locate and eliminate key commanders.

In a moving gesture, Shai Graucher presented a pair of Shabbat candlesticks to the mother of Agam Berger, who was recently released from Hamas captivity.

Israeli Useful Idiots Attack the Government over Hamas’s Threat to Suspend Hostages Return

A tiny group of radical Israelis blocks Highway 1 near the entrance to Jerusalem, demanding the release of the Hamas hostages, February 11, 2025.

In an official statement, the terrorist organization Hamas announced on Monday that it was “suspending” the hostage deal “until further notice” due to Israel’s “failure to comply with the terms of the agreement.”

“Over the past three weeks, the resistance leadership has been monitoring the enemy’s violations and failure to comply with the terms of the agreement, the delay in the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip, the bombings and shootings of civilians in various areas of the Gaza Strip, and the failure to bring in aid materials in all forms as agreed, while the resistance has fulfilled all its obligations,” Hamas’s statement on Telegram read.

“Therefore,” the statement added, “the handover of the Zionist prisoners who were supposed to be released this coming Saturday, February 15, 2025, will be postponed until further notice and until the occupation commits and compensates the entitlements of the past weeks, retroactively, and we confirm our commitment to the terms of the agreement.”

In response to Hamas’s blatant violation of a deal that had been guaranteed by both Qatar and the United States, Israeli radical groups, alongside a few of the most militant hostage families, on Tuesday have taken to attack the Netanyahu government. And as usual, what they lack in numbers, they more than makeup for in madness and rage.

The political-security cabinet is meeting on Tuesday in Jerusalem to deal with Hamas’s walk away, but a small bunch, fewer than fifty members of the hostage families and radical activists, blocked Highway 1 near the Hemed Interchange at the entrance to Jerusalem.

Repeating Hamas’s false announcement obediently, in The-Walking-Dead fashion, they demanded that the Prime Minister halt any efforts to undermine the agreement––Hamas’s exact wording––and send a delegation to Doha with full authority to negotiate a second phase aimed at securing the release of all remaining hostages simultaneously. The phrase “Hostages First” was spray-painted on the overpass at the interchange. Later, the same tiny bunch of mad radicals were planning to gather a rally in the capital to call for the completion of the deal.

It’s been a while since Hamas and its useful Israeli idiots have maintained such perfect synergy.

The families issued an aggressive statement, chock full of lies and half-truths, as befitted a radical movement, saying: “Netanyahu brought us a long agreement that dragged on for months. Today, it is clear that Netanyahu is motivated by political considerations and is dragging his feet, not sending a delegation, bragging, and doing everything to sabotage the agreement. We have heard the latest testimonies; our loved ones are going through a Holocaust in captivity. They will not survive there much longer. We demand that Netanyahu give a full mandate to the negotiating team, declare that he is committed to implementing the agreement in full this time, shorten the timelines, and return everyone at once. Get them out of hell!”

One cannot help noticing that only one thing about the above statement is firmly anchored in reality: hatred for Netanyahu. The rest of this gobbledygook is merely the frothing at the mouth of entitled children who don’t get their way.

On Monday, during a debate of a no-confidence vote in the Knesset, Meirav Ben-Ari, a frothing-in-the-mouth Yesh Atid MK, was hauled out of the plenum by the ushers, screaming at PM Netanyahu who stood at the podium: “What else do we need to do to get you to leave already? I’m tired of hearing you!”

Ever the theatrical speaker, Netanyahu waited quietly for the barbarism to quiet down, and as Ben-Ari’s backside was disappearing from view, answered calmly: “What needs to be done is win an election.”

Yesh Atid, led by Yair Lapid, is down to 6 seats in the polls (from its 2022 24 mandates).

The Directorate of Abductees, Returnees and Missing Persons in the Prime Minister’s Office stated on Monday: “All the families of the hostages were informed this evening regarding Hamas’s announcement. It was emphasized to the families that the State of Israel insists on upholding the agreement in its entirety and views seriously any violation.”

Smotrich: "We have full backing from President Trump to apply sovereignty over 5% of Gaza territory for every hostage harmed."

Report: Palestinian Authority to End Notorious ‘Pay-to-Slay’ Incentives*

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has reportedly signed a decree to terminate its “Pay-to-Slay” program, which provided financial incentives to individuals and their families for carrying out attacks against Israelis.

This move aims to improve relations with the U.S. and Israel, especially following recent geopolitical developments.

Trump: I could conceivably withhold aid to Egypt and Jordan if they Refuse to take in Gazans

US President Donald Trump said on Monday he could “conceivably” withhold aid to Egypt and Jordan if they refuse to take in Gazans as part of Trump’s plan for the Strip.

“Yeah, maybe, sure why not? If they don’t, I would conceivably withhold aid, yes,” Trump said in response to a question from a reporter.

Trump several weeks ago expressed his desire for countries like Jordan and Egypt to accept more Palestinian Arabs who have fled the fighting in Gaza, telling reporters he had discussed the idea with Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

Several days later, Trump doubled down on the idea, telling reporters he had brought it up in a conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

“I’d like to get them living in an area where they can live without disruption, revolution … when you look at the Gaza Strip it’s been hell for so many years,” said Trump.

"I wish [Sisi] would take some [Gazans]. We helped them a lot, and I'm sure he'd help us. He's a friend of mine. He's in a very rough part of the world, to be honest. As they say, It's a rough neighborhood. But I think he would do it, and I think the King of Jordan would do it too," continued Trump.

His comment on Monday came after Egypt rejected “any compromise” that would infringe on the rights of Palestinian Arabs, in a statement issued after Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington.

Sisi recently responded publicly for the first time to Trump’s proposal, stating that Egypt will not take part in the displacement of Palestinian Arabs, an action he described as an "act of injustice" that could endanger Egyptian security.
