IDF female Soldier Abused by Mob of Chareidim in Beit Shemesh Speaks Out

We blogged about this disgusting episode last week, but it has now made national news.

A female IDF soldier was attacked with curses and stones in the Yehuda Hanasi neighborhood in Beit Shemesh.

In a conversation with Kan News, the soldier recounted the moments of horror in the incident that happened on Wednesday. "I was standing at the station, before the bus arrived there were some haredim who cursed and threatened me. When the bus arrived they threatened the driver that they would burn his bus if he took me on," she said.

The soldier, who stopped to change bus lines on her way to her base, told journalist Carmela Menashe how the incident soon developed into a violent riot, when a mob chased her, cursed her and threw things at her: "I moved away and started walking, and they chased me. Suddenly, hundreds of children, boys and adults started coming out of the houses, shouting at me 'shiksa' and throwing stones and cans at me. I felt surrounded and helpless."

At one point she met three girls and begged them to help her escape: "I asked three girls I saw there to help me and they told me we'll hide you." The girls led her to their home where they hid her when the crowd was closing in on the house and trying to break the lock of the apartment. The soldier called the police and after a while the police arrived in an undercover car, and not in a police car, for fear of another flare-up and the fear of the family that was guarding her that they might be thought of as collaborators

The soldier was dressed in a skirt given to her by the girls of the house and taken out of the place, but even after that, the disturbances and the confrontations with the police continued for some time. "The crowds stood outside and the police made a way. While leaving, the haredim snatched the policeman's radio and threw it to the crowd standing outside. It was shocking. The whole incident lasted from ten o'clock at night until early morning," said the soldier, who was injured by the objects thrown at her. "If it wasn't for the family that hid me, I don't know how it would have ended," she said.

The police said: "The police were called to the scene and rescued the female soldier while the force was also under attack. Beit Shemesh police officers arrested two suspects red-handed who were throwing stones. The investigation to locate all those involved continues.'

The spokeswoman of the Beit Shemesh municipality said:

"Mayor Dr. Aliza strongly condemns the attack on the female soldier and views the case very seriously. "The mayor spoke with the female soldier personally and strengthened her. She also spoke with the police chief of Beit Shemesh and asked, as expected, to investigate the incident to the end and to act with the full extent of the law. The mayor of Beit Shemesh, Dr. Aliza Bloch, emphasizes that on the days of 'you shall be joyous on your holidays', when tens of thousands celebrate at the cultural events in the city, this unusual event is certainly not evidenced by the atmosphere in the city and calls on everyone not to give space in the conversation to extreme acts."

Betraying the Family’s Mesorah For a Rabbinical Position in Jerusalem

In 1932 Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld (1848-1932), chief rabbi of the Charedi community Va’ad Ha-ir Ha-ashkenazi (later known as Ha-edah Ha-Charedit) of Jerusalem, was on his deathbed.

The community’s political leader, Rabbi Moshe Bloy (1885-1946), traveled abroad to seek a suitable replacement for the charismatic and revered rabbi. After considering several options, he declared Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky (1867-1948) of Chust to be the most suitable candidate. Later that year Rabbi Dushinsky was summoned to Jerusalem to meet the heads of Va’ad Ha-ir Ha-ashkenazi prior to their final decision. During his visit Rabbi Sonnenfeld passed away, and Rabbi Dushinsky was immediately offered the position.

Kanye West on anti-Semitic comments: I’m ‘happy’ I ‘crossed the line’

Kanye West isn’t letting it go.

Speaking to Page Six as he left the screening of Candace Owen’s new documentary on Wednesday night, West addressed all of the brands that have dropped him since his most recent social media rants, including Adidas and JP Morgan Chase.

“Hey, if you call somebody out for bad business, that means you’re being anti-Semitic. I feel happy to have crossed the line of that idea so we can speak openly about things like getting canceled by a bank,” he told our photographers, before calling himself “the richest black man in American history.”

West, 45, continued talking about JP Morgan Chase specifically but was interrupted when a truck drove by. He then decided to “speak at a different time.”

Earlier today, Owens herself revealed that JP Morgan Chase had given West until November to find a new bank institution to hold his multibillion-dollar company Yeezy.

“I was told there was no official reason given, but they sent this letter as well to confirm that he has until late November to find another place for the Yeezy empire to bank,” she tweeted along with a photo of the notice.

The letter read, “Dear Ye, We are sending this letter to confirm our recent discussion with [redacted name] that JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. (The Bank) has decided to end its banking relation with Yeezy LLC and its affiliated entities.”

JP Morgan Chase dropping West comes after he made several anti-Semitic comments over the weekend.

On Instagram, he shared a screenshot of a text conversation with Diddy, where he told him, “This ain’t a game. Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”

He was locked out of his account shortly after.

West then moved on to Twitter where he proceeded to post, “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

He was locked out of that account as well.

Last week, Adidas announced that their partnership with West was “under review” following the rapper’s “White Lives Matter” shirt scandal.

“After repeated efforts to privately resolve the situation, we have taken the decision to place the partnership under review,” the company announced in a statement Thursday, per CNBC.

“We will continue to co-manage the current product during this period.”

West, 45, replied to the statement on Instagram, writing, “F–K ADIDAS I AM ADIDAS ADIDAS RAPED AND STOLE MY DESIGNS.”

Back in August, West began to speak out against the brand regarding his frustrations with the company, who allegedly made decisions about their collaboration without his consent.

State Orders City To Enforce Secular Education Starting With the Tzelemer Yeshiva

New York State’s commissioner of education has ordered the city to work with a yeshiva in Williamsburg on a plan for improving its secular education.

The decision, issued last week by commissioner Betty Rosa, is a response to a lawsuit brought by Beatrice Webber, a formerly Hasidic mother of 10 who now heads Yaffed, the leading advocacy group pressing for improvements in secular learning at haredi Orthodox private schools.

Rosa’s decision was first reported by the New York Times, which said the ruling represents “the first time that the state has taken action against a Hasidic boys’ school” and “could be a harbinger of significantly tougher oversight of Hasidic schools.”

If You Don’t Support Zeldin, Quit Complaining About the Jew-Hating

There are some elections that one can at least make the argument “s/he is going to win anyway we may as well be on his/her good side.” This isn’t one of them. No matter how much support the frum community will give Hochul she won’t do anything in return anyway. She already has the track record to prove it.

Plus it isn’t so clear that Hochul is going to win. For the past few elections the polls have consistently heavily underestimated the support the Republican candidates actually have.  No one dreamed that Pataki would win either. Some people ended up losing out big time for supporting Cuomo over him because they thought Cuomo would win anyway. When Pataki won he did not consider those people his natural allies he otherwise would have considered them

An open letter from a reader

If you are crazy enough to support Kathy Hochul, or you’re even on the fence about which candidate to support in the governor’s race, you have no right to complain about the assault against yeshivas in New York state.

By supporting leftist politicians who are out to harm the Jewish community, YOU are part of the problem .

If you are not fully invested in Lee Zeldin, or if you align with the Democrat party, you have no right to complain about the rash of brutal antisemitic hate crimes.

It’s time for Jews to wake up and realize that Democrats in New York do not represent our values. They have dangerous policies, they have destroyed what used to be a state that was relatively safe, and friendly to Jews.

Democrats are not friends of the Jewish community.

Whatever Happened to Philip Drelich Who Murdered His Pregnant Wife and a Diamond Dealer?

Philip Drelich, an inmate at Green Haven Correctional Facility in upstate New York, blows the shofar during the Jewish month of Elul

He was released on February 29, 2016 even though he was sentenced to serve  two consecutive life sentences for murder!

I am very familiar with this story, because I lived in Monsey in the 70's, and Philip would come to visit his parents from time to time; his parents owned a bakery called "Pinkey's" on Kennedy Blvd off Route 59. I knew his parents very well, they were the nicest people and they davened at the Community Synagogue on Carlton off Maple Avenue. The Rabbi of that Shul was Rabbi Moshe Tendler z"l (this fact became very crucial in the story).
On the Friday night following the horrendous stabbing of his pregnant wife, Miriam, Philip davened at the Stanislover Shul on Maple Avenue, and quietly said kaddish for her without any emotion. I remember that there was a detective in a car outside the shul making sure he didn't disappear, he was already being questioned in the disappearance of Martin Paretzky 71, a diamond dealer.

Philip Drelich, was born in 1950 and raised in Brooklyn and attended Yeshiva Chaim Berlin receiving good grades. His father was a WW2 veteran. Sometime in 1975, he met Miriam Lea Ziskind, and they subsequently married and had 2 children.

Former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard leaves the DemonRats

Former congresswoman and 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced on Tuesday that she is leaving the Democratic Party, CNN reported.

“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party. It’s now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoking anti-white racism, who actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution,” Gabbard said in a video posted to social media. The announcement was made on the first episode of her new podcast, “The Tulsi Gabbard Show.”

Gabbard, who made history by becoming the first American Samoan and practicing Hindu in Congress following her election in 2012, also criticized what she said were Democrats’ “open border” policies and anti-police rhetoric.

The announcement is the culmination of years in which Gabbard has been increasingly at odds with the Democratic Party and its policies.

The former congresswoman, who represented Hawaii’s 2nd district, has long been a unique and occasionally controversial voice in the Democratic Party.

Gabbard, the first Hindu member of Congress and an Iraq war veteran, was a supporter of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid in 2016. In the past she has met with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and embraced nationalist leaders.

She originally announced she would run for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination in January of 2019. However, Gabbard withdrew from the race and endorsed Joe Biden in March of 2020 after dismally low finishes in every primary and caucus.

The biblical "Hakhel" the 'every-7-year gathering' which disappeared as a practice for centuries, is getting a revival.

Every seven years, in ancient times, Jewish men, women, and children would gather at the Temple on the first day of Sukkot to hear the king of Jerusalem read aloud from the Torah.

In 2022, there’s no king and no Temple, and more than half of all Jews live far from Jerusalem — but the ritual is still inspiring Jews around the world to gather together. In fact, the tradition, known as hakhel, appears to be seeing a resurgence of popular interest.

In Northampton, Massachusetts, Abundance Farm will host an outdoor festival with tree planting, music, pickles and cider to mark the end of the seven-year cycle of the shmita or agricultural sabbatical year to which hakhel is tied.

At Mount Zion Temple, in St. Paul, Minnesota, community members will learn and share Torah verses that inspire them and move them to action.

Mitsui Collective, a Jewish community-building organization, is hosting an online “in-gathering” in honor of hakhel. Other congregations and communities will host events online and in person that include Torah study, social activities and reflection on the next seven years of Jewish life.

While Jewish Soldiers are being Murdered Protecting Sukkot Marchers, Chassidim are Abusing Female soldiers

 Girl soldier rescued from crowd
The balagan in Ramat Beit Shemesh Bet
From reports that reached Beit Shemesh News, it appears that a female soldier who may have mistakenly ended up in Ramat Beit Shemesh 2, in the Yehuda Hanasi area, received  shouts, hatred and more.
She called the police, who rescued her from the crowd,  the riots continue until now.  A large force of police trying to restore order to the neighborhood.

Beit Shemesh has a population of over 120,000 B"H. There is a small area  in Beit Shemesh called "Bet Shemesh Bet" that is populated by a bunch of extremists. There are protests there practically every day, blocking traffic, burning trash bins, screaming "Naziis" at Traffic Police that are there to protect them.

This past week a female soldier was murdered by terrorists, and yesterday Ido Baruch, an IDF soldier was murdered while protecting a group of Yeshivah Boys that were marching in honor of Succos in the Shomron.

This did not stop hundreds of Chassidim that call themselves "aarahlach" from abusing and shouting "Nazi" at a young frum female IDF soldier that mistakingly walked into their neighborhood. They were hurling glass bottles and metal cans aiming for her head; she barely got out alive. The riots continued for hours, I know I was in traffic and couldn't move for hours.

So while Jewish children in uniform are dying to protect their fat "tuchis'" other "frum" Jews dressed in golden bekeshes and wearing racoon hats tore themselves out of shul to lynch other Jews, because they are in uniform.

זו תורה וזו שכרה

In a terrorist drive-by shooting which occurred near the community of Shavei Shomron in Samaria on Tuesday morning, an IDF soldier was shot and killed.

Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch, a 21-year-old member of the Givati infantry’s brigade reconnaissance unit, was seriously injured in the shooting and taken to the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba where he was declared dead. Baruch was securing a march by local residents from Shavei Shomron to Sebastia, the site of the ancient city of Shomron.

Tali, a close friend of Baruch’s mother, remembered him as a “magical child full of love, values and generosity.”

“I had the privilege to work with him at a few events and saw how he made children happy. It is impossible to stop the tears and describe the pain.”

A former teacher of Baruch’s told the Walla news site: “Everyone who knew him, loved him.”

Shmuel Roth Netanyahu’s Grandson, Completes Shas Bavli At His Bar Mitzva

A Bar Mitzva celebration was held in Meah Shearim, for Shmuel Roth, the son of Noa Roth who is the oldest daughter of former prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu’s grandson is a precocious student who completed the entire Shas Bavli at his Bar Mitzva party.

Shmuel studies at Darkei Shmuel a Talmud Torah affiliated with the Jerusalem Faction and named in memory of Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach zts’l, the founder of the faction which broke off from Degel Hatorah and refuses any compromise on military service.

Shmuel’s melamed (teacher) said at the event that he has been teaching for ten years and has never encountered a child blessed with such genius and talent as Shmuel Roth. The melamed added that Shmuel was incredibly diligent and studied at all times including recess. He began studying Shas Bavli at the age of 10 and completed it at his Bar Mitzva three years later, a remarkable feat.

Russian Jewish soldier taken captive in Ukraine

A Russian Jewish soldier whose sister lives in Israel has been taken captive in Ukraine, Ynet reported.

Sergey H., 31 years old and from St. Petersburg, was drafted into the Russian army at the end of September as part of the general draft. He did not have military training and had not previously served in the army. Prior to his enlistment in the army, Sergey, who does not have academic education, worked as a builder.

Sergey was immediately sent to the front lines as a private, and fell into captivity in the Lyman area, which the Ukrainian army had succeeded in retaking from the Russians.

Sergey's sister immigrated to Israel in April, two months after the war broke out. A second sister lives in Finland. Their mother died in St. Petersburg less than a year ago.

The sister who immigrated to Israel, Esther, said that she spoke to Ukraine's Chief Rabbi Moshe Reuven Asman, asking that he help her brother.

Rabbi Asman said that just before the holiday of Sukkot (the Festival of Tabernacles) began on Sunday evening, he held an emergency meeting with senior officials in Ukraine's special service, who are responsible for the issue of holding captives. Rabbi Asman offered to take custody of the Jewish soldier, as well as the other Jewish soldiers who may fall into captivity in Ukraine, and hopes to meet with Sergey in the near future.

According to Datali, a Russian-language Israeli site, nearly all of Sergey's company was killed, and the commander abandoned the unit and escaped towards Luhansk. Sergey survived by miracle but was caught by the armed Ukrainian forces on October 1. He was interrogated by the Ukrainians, who made contact with his sister Esther and sent her a video clip to prove that his health is good.

Journalist Shimon Breeman of Datali, who first reported on the issue, said that Rabbi Asman hopes to meet Sergey this week, adding that, "According to my information, the Jewish Russian who was taken into captivity is a unique case and the first of his kind."

"Prior to this there were thousands of Russian captives, but he is the first with documents to prove his Jewishness and also with a relative in Israel. He is not completely religious, but both he and his sister are Jews from their mother (their father is a Russian). This is a Jew who assimilated, without any Jewish education. His sister became religious in the St. Petersburg synagogue and today she lives near Jerusalem in a religious neighborhood. It was very hard to speak with his sister - she is suffering a real crisis, and she really needs help."

After 74 years: Bodies of two fallen soldiers found

An IDF spokesperson has announced that the bodies of Private Binyamin Aryeh Eisenberg and Private Yitzhak Rubenstein have been found by the IDF unit for location of missing soldiers.

Eisenberg and Rubenstein were killed in the battles at Yad Mordechai during Israel's War of Independence in 1948, and their place of burial was not known. Their bodies were found after over a decade of intensive efforts by the IDF's unit for locating missing soldiers.

During the War of Independence, at the conclusion of the battle to protect Kibbutz Yad Mordechai on the night between May 23-24, 1948, just a few days after the State of Israel was declared and while evacuating a wounded comrade, a group of three Palmach fighters was taken into captivity. Among the group were Eisenberg, who was lying wounded on a stretcher; and Rubenstein and medic Libka Shefer, who were carrying Eisenberg's stretcher.

In 1952, then-IDF Chief Rabbi Shlomo Goren declared the three to be fallen soldiers whose place of burial was unknown.

Between 2012-2018, there has been an ongoing investigation to locate the soldiers' bodies, and it was discovered that in 1949, Shefer's body was located and buried in a mass grave in Nitzanim. This was confirmed in 2018, and Shefer's name was added to the list of names at the grave.

Recently, the investigation revealed that at the same time that Shefer's body was found and brought to burial in the mass grave at Nitzanim, Eisenberg's and Rubenstein's bodies were also found and buried in the mass grave at Nitzanim.

Eisenberg was born in Poland in 1927, and immigrated to Israel in 1946, on a ship of illegal immigrants. In 1947, he joined the Palmach, and he was among the defenders of Kibbutz Yad Mordechai during the War of Independence. He was killed while defending the kibbutz, on May 24, 1948.

Rubenstein was born in Ukraine (then Galicia) in 1913, and immigrated to Israel in 1938, on a ship of illegal immigrants. He joined the Palmach and was among the defenders of Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, where he was killed during the War of Independence on May 24, 1948.

Eisenberg's and Rubenstein's families were notified Friday morning of the completion of the investigation.

In the coming weeks, a ceremony will be held to reveal their headstones, and their names will be added to the list of those buried in the mass grave at Nitzanim.

Major-General Yaniv Asor, who heads the manpower department, said, "Every Hebrew mother should know that we will not cease until we bring all our sons for burial in Israel and discover the place of burial of all our fallen whose place of burial is not known."

"The fighters of the generation of 1948 dreamed of the State and fought for its founding. Some of them are Holocaust survivors who fought with courage in fierce battles against the Arab armies, for the sake of the State of Israel's independence. Determining the grave of the fighters whose place of burial is not known, even 74 years after they fell, is a deep and authentic obligation that the nation of Israel and the IDF have.

"Today, the State of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces fulfill an ethical obligation to declare the graves of Binyamin Aryeh Eisenberg and Yitzhak Rubenstein at the mass grave at Nitzanim."

Satmar's Shiksa Girlfriend "Hochul" Buddy Buddy with Vicious Antisemite

New York Governor Kathy Hochul was photographed alongside a Democratic Party fundraiser with a history of sharing antisemitic social media posts, Fox News reported on Friday.

According to Fox, the photos of Hochul alongside Maher Abdelqader were taken at the Harvard Club fundraiser event in New York City last month and posted on his Twitter account.

Abdelqader – vice president of the New York City-based AI Engineers – removed the photos after Fox questioned Hochul’s campaign.

“A great fund raiser by a small group of entrepreneurs and business leaders at the prestigious Harvard Club of NYC for NYS Governor Kathleen Hochul,” Abdelqader wrote in his now-deleted tweet. “Governor Hochul is an American politician serving as the 57th Governor.”

Fox reported that Abelqader previously shared a video claiming that Jews are “satanic,” control the media, and questioned whether six million Jews really died in the Holocaust.

He also advocated for the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions campaign while promoting posts that claimed Jews are not really from Israel.

New York’s gubernatorial election pits Hochul against Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin, who is Jewish.

Antisemite awarded Nobel Prize in Literature

Annie Ernaux, a French author who won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature on Thursday, has voiced her support Palestinian-led Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) movement in the past and called to boycott the Eurovision Song Contest which was held in Israel in 2019.

Ernaux and 100 other artists in France signed a petition declaring that “we won’t support Tel Aviv’s white-washing of the unlawful discrimination against Palestinians. We call on the French media and the French delegation not to justify Israel’s regime.
The petition read: “From 14 to 18 May, France Télévisions intends to broadcast the 2019 Eurovision song contest to be held in Tel Aviv, in the Ramat Aviv district on the ruins of the Sheikh Muwannis village which, as the Israeli NGO “Zochrot” (They Remember, in Hebrew) reminds us, is one of the hundreds of Palestinian villages emptied of its inhabitants and destroyed in 1948 when the State of Israel was created.
For France Télévisions, the contest is ‘a piece of entertainment on a unique international scale, open to a very wide artistic range’, claiming to celebrate diversity and inclusion. According to this public service, ‘music, which has no borders, has as its universal ambition dialogue among peoples, openness and togetherness’”.
