Iran attack postponed: The dramatic phone call between Netanyahu and Trump

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu requested that US President Donald Trump postpone any military action against Iran, according to a report by The New York Times.

The phone call between the two leaders took place at midnight last night, amid widespread protests across Iran and ongoing American discussions regarding the possibility of an attack.

Netanyahu expressed concerns that Israel is not prepared for an Iranian response in the event of a US strike, and thus asked Trump to delay the attack on Iran.

Trump himself stated that he received information from reliable sources in Iran indicating that the regime had stopped executing and harming protesters, which could signal an attempt to de-escalate the situation.

However, US officials clarified that the military option remains on the table, and the final decision will be made based on developments on the ground.

According to a diplomatic source in the Gulf quoted in the report, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt also sent messages to the US administration requesting that they refrain from attacking Iran, out of concern for regional escalation. These countries also reached out to Tehran, urging it not to respond militarily in the event of an attack.

Iran closed its airspace to civilian flights last night but later reopened it.

According to reports, the Pentagon lowered the level of alert at the US Air Force base in Qatar and began to return troops that had been relocated out of concern for an imminent strike.

Iran demands large payments from families of murdered protesters

After killing thousands of people during protests against the regime, the authorities in Iran are demanding hefty amounts of money from the parents of the victims if they want to retrieve the bodies of their sons or daughters who were killed.

Parents of protesters shot dead during demonstrations against the regime in Tehran told BBC Persian that they received a message from the authorities stating that, if they wanted to get the bodies of their murdered children back, they would have to pay large sums.

One family, from the city of Rasht in northern Iran, reported that the authorities demanded 700 million tomans (approximately $5,500) to return the body of their son, who was killed during the protests. “The body was held at the local hospital, along with at least 70 other bodies," the parents shared.

In Tehran, the family of a Kurdish construction worker who was murdered during the protests said that when they arrived at the hospital to collect his body, they were shocked when the authorities demanded a sum of 1 billion tomans (about $8,000) to release their son's body.

The parents stated, "We couldn’t afford to pay that amount, so we left the hospital without our son’s body."

Some parents mentioned that hospitals are filled with security forces ensuring that the bodies of the murdered individuals will not be released without payment.

Some of them also reported receiving phone calls from hospital administrators urging them to come quickly to collect the bodies of their children "before the security forces arrive and demand payment for their release."

Trump Commutes Sentence of Yaacov Deutsch in $50 Million Mortgage Fraud Case

President Donald Trump has commuted the prison sentence of Jacob Deutsch of Williamsburg, leading to his release after nearly 22 months behind bars for his role in a wide-ranging mortgage fraud scheme involving apartment buildings in Hartford.

The decision followed sustained advocacy by the Tzedek Association, which argued that Deutsch’s punishment far exceeded what the facts of the case warranted. Supporters said the case involved no violence, no financial loss to lenders and no restitution owed, yet Deutsch received a sentence that was nearly three times longer than what prosecutors had sought.

“This was a profound miscarriage of justice,” advocates said in a statement thanking the White House and Justice Department officials for what they called a rare act of corrective mercy.

Deutsch had been sentenced in 2024 to more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud affecting financial institutions. Trump’s commutation removes the remainder of his sentence but leaves the conviction intact.

Deutsch and a co-defendant, Aron Deutsch of Monsey, admitted to participating in a scheme that prosecutors said relied on false rent rolls, leases and financial records to secure nearly $50 million in loans tied to multifamily properties in Hartford.

Federal authorities said the defendants worked at B H Property Management, which oversaw numerous buildings, and inflated property values by staging vacant apartments and fabricating tenants to make units appear fully occupied and profitable. The false information, prosecutors said, led lenders — as well as Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development — to back or insure loans they otherwise would not have approved.

Aron Deutsch was sentenced to five years of probation and fined $1 million. Jacob Deutsch received a 62-month prison term, a fine and supervised release, though he ultimately served about 22 months before the commutation.

In a statement, the Tzedek Association said Trump’s action “restored fairness, reunited a family and reaffirmed mercy as a cornerstone of American justice.”

UTJ Eichler Pulls a fast one so that he doesn't look like the traitor that he is

The fake phony Eichler, who pretends that he is against the conscription bill saw the handwriting on the wall, that the law will pass with or without him so not to look stupid he pressured Netanyahu to appoint him to a phony useless job, "Deputy Communications Minister" and this has to be a joke as his constituents don't use "communication" their Torah leaders forbid the internet! This was done so that he can save face and can temporarily leave the Knesset and be replaced by Pindrus from Degel that will vote for the law!
This is the tactic of today's Torah leaders to pull the wool over the eyes of their naive followers! זו תורה וזו שכרה

UTJ’s Eichler Appointed Deputy Communications Minister to Influence Draft Vote

United Torah Judaism (UTJ) MK Yisrael Eichler is set to be appointed Deputy Communications Minister in a strategic move by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that will remove him from the Knesset and prevent him from voting against the government’s contentious conscription bill for yeshiva bachurim.

The appointment, expected to be approved by ministers, comes under Israel’s “Norwegian law,” under which a ministerial appointment requires Eichler to resign his parliamentary seat. This change allows former UTJ MK Yitzhak Pindrus, who supports the draft measure, to reenter the Knesset and bolster its passage.

Eichler, a member of Agudas Yisrael within UTJ, has opposed the current form of the draft regulation bill, while Pindrus from Degel Hatorah supports it. The reshuffle is aimed at ensuring a majority for the law that has divided Israeli politics and society over the issue of military exemptions for yeshiva bachurim.

Rabbi Rubin speaking about the song *“I Don’t Need Your Bekatche." Says that the song is a contradiction to our Mesorah"

DIN: Before you read the translation from Yiddish by CBN, I want to point out that the mesorah of the "Bekishe" is about 200 years old, meaning that 99.9% of your ancestors never wore one! To say that Jews were redeemed from Egypt "because they wore a bekishe" isn't clear, read a Medrish Shmos Rabba that states that Jews dressed like the Egyptians and they looked alike!
Now I agree in principle that clothes are important, I'm talking about trying to stop kids from listening to a song made in jest and fun!
My advice to Rabbi Rubin who I respect, is to stop taking joy out of our teenagers, we live in difficult times and if they find this song fun, so be it!

CBN translation:

"We can’t just be producing and putting out songs to the masses that are a stira to our Torah and our Mesorah. You guys know who you are and you have a big achrius to Klal Yisroel.
You will make a parnassa if you do what is right….."

"There is a lot to talk about regarding the 'external' and the 'internal.' There is this kind of awakening—that I don't need the bekishe [traditional long coat], I need you [the internal self]. Everyone talks about being 'religious' with 'internality.'

But once someone starts with 'internality,' they start to belittle the 'external.' And that is a big problem. The 'external' holds a very large place in Judaism. Yes, the hat, the jacket...

But one will say: 'Inside, I am empty! So what should I do? I'm waiting to be filled up.' Oh! Until the hat and jacket are 'filled up' inside, you have to work. What does the Almighty say? In Egypt, I do need the bekishe. You may be empty inside—'these and those were idol worshipers'—so why were they redeemed? Because they had the bekishe; they did not change their clothing.

The Almighty says: 'I need the bekishe AND I need you.' Both are correct. I need everything. I need the external, and I need the internal."

The Mastery Perspective: The "Container" Theory
Since you value elite hacks and unique insights, here is a high-level way to think about this "External vs. Internal" debate that the Rabbi is touching upon:

In many spiritual or self-improvement disciplines, there is a tendency to favor "authenticity" (the internal) over "ritual" (the external). However, a master of behavioral psychology or deep theology would tell you that the external is the "container" that preserves the internal.

The Hack: Don't wait for the feeling to drive the action; use the action to summon the feeling.

The Insight: If you only act when you "feel it" (internally), your progress will be as volatile as your moods. By maintaining the "external" (the habits, the dress, the routine), you create a structure that stays ready for when the inspiration eventually returns.

The Sharp Angle: ritual  isn't "fake" just because you aren't feeling it in the moment; ritual is an insurance policy for your values during the times you feel empty. It’s easier to fill a cup that already exists than to try to hold water in your bare hands while you wait to find a cup.

Yossie Mizrachi Takes Time off from His Pilagshim to Bash Israel

I have to hand it to him—he somehow manages to juggle his pilagshim and still find time to deliver his “lectures.”

At the 6:50 mark, Mizrachi claims he fears Iran will bombard Israel with missiles. Although he insists he knows everything is from Hashem, he now believes that because of the “lefties and the Supreme Court,” Hashem might allow Iran to strike.

Absolutely not. Hashem is not concerned with the Left or the Israeli Supreme Court. If anything, Hashem is concerned with the fake YouTube “rabbis” who cheat on their families!

It reminds me of the story with the Brisker Rav. A talmid once asked him, “How will Moshiach ever come with the Zionists and Ben Gurion in control?” The Brisker Rav replied, “You think the Zionists and Ben Gurion are holding back Moshiach? The ones holding back Moshiach are the talmidim in the Beis Medrash who hate each other.”

Then Yossi launches into a maniacal tirade, spewing lies and fabricated stories. He compares Israel—the only Jewish state and home to the majority of the Jewish people—to the Greeks before the destruction of the Second Beis HaMikdash, claiming the government arrested yeshiva bochurim to stop them from learning Torah.

Everyone, including Charedim, knows this is false. They were not arrested “for learning Torah.” They were arrested for draft dodging.

He continues with stories he clearly invented, shielding his fantasies by claiming “the press didn’t report it.”

Every one of his claims is a blatant lie. Israel has more mosdos haTorah than anywhere else in the world. More Torah is learned in Israel than in any other place on earth.

Not a single Jew has ever been arrested for learning Torah. In fact, the current controversy in the press is about the discovery that one billion shekels were transferred to Charedi institutions.

These boys were arrested for refusing to register. Israel is our country, and boys of eligible age are required to enlist in the IDF. There are Hesder yeshivos where students serve in the army and learn Torah. There are entire brigades today made up of young men from Charedi backgrounds. They’re not perfect—but neither are the yeshivos.

But Mr. Pilegish doesn’t stop there. He escalates his fantasies, claiming these boys were “tortured” for hours and days to force them to sign enlistment papers. He even alleges that the IDF sent “provocative women” to scream at them until they signed. Mr. Pilegish has quite an imagination, and he loves embellishing his stories with images of immodest women. He does this in many of his so‑called “lectures.”

Nearly all the boys who were arrested and served time for draft evasion later spoke to the Charedi press—and not a single one accused the army of anything remotely resembling Mr. Pilegish’s allegations. Not one.

In fact, the opposite is true as some of the ex-inmates compared Jail to a "summer camp" Naturally, he prefaces his lies by insisting “the press didn’t report it.”

Why wouldn’t the Charedi press report such a thing if it were true?

Driver who ran over teen walks free

The Jerusalem District Court on Thursday morning rejected Israel Police's appeal to extend the house arrest of driver Fakhri Khatib, who rammed and killed 14-year-old Yosef Eisental during a protest earlier this month.

Judge Hagit Mac Kalmanovitz ruled that there was no justification for continuing Khatib's house arrest, but clarified that this decision does not prevent further investigative actions by the police.

On Wednesday, the Magistrate's Court ordered the removal of the restrictive conditions placed on Khatib, including the house arrest he had been under for about a week. The police quickly appealed the decision, but the appeal was dismissed.

Khatib is suspected of causing death intentionally or through recklessness, and of causing serious harm to a minor. Initially, the police charged him with aggravated murder but the charge was later softened.

During the hearing, the police confirmed that Khatib called the emergency center himself, reporting that he was being attacked and requesting rescue. His defense attorney argued that his client "was attacked, spat on, and felt in danger," adding that "he acted to save his life without intending to harm anyone." According to the attorney, this is a "political investigation."

The ramming occurred during a January 6 demonstration against the proposed Draft Law. Footage from the scene shows the bus driven by Khatib driving toward a group of protesters and hitting Eisental, who became trapped under the vehicle and was killed. Three other protesters were lightly injured.

Mor Shamli, the widow of Alon Shamli, has died by suicide.

Alon, 34, from Bat Yam, was murdered in a terror shooting in Alexandria, Egypt, on October 8, while on an organized tour group. An Egyptian police officer opened fire one day after Hamas’s massacre in southern Israel.

Mor witnessed her husband’s murder. Those close to her say the trauma never left her.

This is what terror does.
It doesn’t end with the first bullet.
It destroys families long after the headlines fade.

May the memories of Alon and Mor forever be a blessing.
