FJJ Letter to the editor critical on Yom Ha'Atzmaut Celebrations

ובני קורח לא מתו

The first thing that grabbed my attention to  this letter to the editor is that "MU" who wrote this letter, doesn't live in Eretz Yisrael, he lives in Brooklyn New York, and he is commenting on a celebration, celebrated by millions of Jews living in Israel!
It bothers this Yeshivishe shoiteh, that we have B"H a State that over 7 1/2 million Jews live in, and want to show appreciation for this great miracle.

MU writes that

"All our Gedoilim post WW2 opposed and strongly held not to celebrate or say Hallel on this day"

I am not going into whether we should say Hallel on Yom Ha'Atzmaut or not, but his statement is an unmitigated lie!

The following are just some Rabbanim that said Hallel:

  • Rabbi Meshulam Roth (Shu"t Kol Mevaser) — one of the earliest poskim to rule for Hallel with a beracha after 1948.

  • Rabbi Yehuda Gershuni — ruled similarly to Rav Roth.

  • Rabbi Shaul Yisraeli — supported Hallel with a beracha.

  • Rabbi Ovadia Yosef — supported Hallel without a beracha (a more cautious but still affirmative ruling).

  • Rabbi Herzog, Rabbi Unterman, Rav Yehuda Kook,

Below is a photo of Gedoilei Yisrael saying Hallel and celebrating Yom Ha"atzmaut

Seen in this photo  the Sadiger Rebbe, Harav Shatzroviski, the Rebbe of Boyhush

Then as an aside, he throws in:

"True the Ponivetcher Rav did put out an Israeli flag on the Yeshiva dormitory, for other reasons"

First of all it wasn't on the dormitory that he put the flag on, it was on the Bais Medrish itself that Rav Kahanaman instructed that they put an Israeli flag!

Second of all, what WERE the "other reasons?"

Everyone knows the reason, the reason was to give Hakoras Hatoiv to the Medina! Why can't he just say it?

    Then he says that

"the Chazon Ish, Brisker Rav, Rav Moshe Feinstein and Tshebiner Rav, were against it"

So here we have a guy that calls himself "MU," lives in the USA and does not at all listen to any of their rulings, he chose to name these Gedoilim only to bash the only Jewish State in the world!

Let's first deal with the Chazon Ish who lived in Eretz Yisrael. He paskened lehalacha that living in Eretz Yisrael is a biblical mitzva according to the Rambam and the Ramban and that this is a obligation in the here and now!

MU doesn't really care about the Chazon Ish's  pask that one must live in Eretz Yisrael, because we see that he lives comfortably in Flatbush, and  sees nothing in the irony of him lecturing us that that the Chazon Ish was against saying Hallel!! He picks and chooses which CI suits his anti-Israel agenda!

The Brisker Rav also lived in Eretz Yisrael and was a vehement proponent of Yishuv Eretz Yisrael and held that once someone even comes to Eretz Yisrael, he cannot leave, in fact Briskers never leave Eretz Yisrael. MU chooses to highlight a political view of the Brisker Rav who opposed the State, but lived there nevertheless and advocated for those in Galuth to move to Israel! Again MU names a Gadol only for his hateful agenda!

Rav Moshe Feinstein, also holds that Yishuv E"Y is a mitzva min HaTorah

Tshebiner Rav also lived in Eretz Yisrael, and acknowledged the state as a reality, he was a strong advocate for every Jew to live in Israel.

Then this MU guy, tells a story about the Chazon Ish  about a guy who stopped saying Tikkun Chazos after the State was established, "I cannot understand, is this what he was waiting for, a country that has intentions to be oiker Torah? " I don't know if this story is even true, because if you read the Steipler's 5 Volume Bio, he states that 99% of all Chazon Ish stories were made up!

It turns out that in retrospect, if the story is true, that the Chazon Ish's prediction did not come to fruition as the Zionist State is now the largest makom Torah in the entire world, and the Zionist Government is the largest contributor to Torah in history!

Then he quotes Rav Elchonon Wasserman hy"d which every Yeshivishe Shoiteh quotes, to denigrate the founders of the only Jewish State and who built a home for ALL Jews,  לשם ולתפארת!  Rav Elchonon was in the USA when WW2 broke out and didn't want to leave his students alone in Europe and so he returned and was murdered. If there was a State then, Rav Elchonon and his Talmidim would have survived!

But he doesn't follow Rav Elchonon either.

This is what Rav Elchonon wrote in his Sefer

MU lives in luxury in the USA, quotes Gedoilim that he doesn't listen to, but he lectures us!

MU totally takes out the Ribono Shel Olilim out of the equation of the establishment of the State! He doesn't think that the RBS"O had anything to do with it!

He states that Torah grew in the State "despite the State" and that the "ruchniyois is very weak in Israel"

    What a bald-faced liar!

"Ruchniyois is very weak in Israel?" Mamesh Loshon Hara not only on the Land but on it residents!

What is this "mereigel" even talking about? There are more Moisdois Hatorah in the Zionist State of Israel than any other place on earth! I'll bet that this MU tzaddik probably hangs out on the beach when he visits Israel!

All these Yeshivishe morons say that Torah grew "despite" the State!

    No it didn't!

Who supports ALL Torah institutions making it possible for all these Kollilim? The Zionists!

Just 3 months ago, the State gave 800 million Shekel to Torah institutions!

It's not "despite" ...The Zionists are the largest contributors to torah in Jewish history!

I don't know who this MU shoiteh is, but it's important to point out, that this is the crap that is being fed to our children in our moisdois.

They cannot get over that the State is here to stay until "bee'as ha'Moshiach" it's vibrant, it's from the 5 best economies in the world, has the best army, and the people are from the top 8 of the happiest in the world, despite being in a war. Real estate prices is through the roof, with people falling over themselves to buy property so they will have a place when they come rounding them up!

The fight that the "gedoilim" had with Zionists was over 75 years ago! No one has ever been stopped from learning Torah in the State,  these are all lies that have been proven wrong over and over, but they need to keep this "Zionist is bad" thing going on so they can stay in Chutz Leaaretz!

It won't be too long when they all come running to the Zionist State! Even Satmar is looking to build a yishuv in the North!

Charedeim may join the left !

The article below, published by Matzav, reports that the Charedi parties are contemplating joining the political left faction that they have opposed for decades — one whose values go against Torah ideals.

To be clear, these parties are led by their gedolim, who will likely grant permission for their representatives to “jump ship” and align with the opposition if they don’t receive what they want from the right‑wing bloc.

This development reinforces what I’ve written for years: the Charedim, as a political entity, are not focused on what’s best for the country. They have become disconnected from the broader Klal Yisrael. They will join forces with Lieberman, even with Arab parties, if that’s what it takes to secure their interests — while the rest of the nation, in their view, can go to hell.

Israel is at war with enemies who openly seek her destruction. Yet ask the average Charedi, and you’ll find little awareness or concern. It’s not that they don’t know what’s happening — it’s that they don’t care.

Where is the Ribono Shel Olam in all this? Isn’t there a concept of hishtadlus — of voting for the party that best aligns with Torah values and then trusting Hashem to do the rest?

Oh! That's for the naive sheep, the concept of trusting in Hashem is not for Gafni or Goldknopf or even their leaders, that concept is for "hamoin am"

A sharply worded post published by Tuvia Smotrich, brother of Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, succeeded in putting into words a fear that has been quietly circulating within Israel’s right-wing camp for quite some time:

the possibility that the chareidi parties, after the current crisis surrounding the draft law, may seriously begin considering cooperation with the left.

Pay Child Support or lose your US Passport

The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to expand enforcement of a federal law allowing the government to revoke U.S. passports from individuals owing more than $2,500 in unpaid child support.

According to U.S. officials cited by the AP, the U.S. Department of State will soon begin proactively revoking passports using data shared by the U.S.

Department of Health and Human Services, rather than waiting for people to apply for renewals or consular services. The policy stems from a 1996 federal law but marks a significant escalation in enforcement.

Israel is building tiny robots inside your body

Israel is building tiny robots inside your body.

Researchers at the Technion have developed DNA origami nanorobots, programmable microscopic machines (just 100 nanometers wide) made entirely from DNA.

These tiny “robots” navigate through the bloodstream, detect specific cancer cell markers, and then deploy a targeted toxin directly into tumors, while completely sparing healthy cells.

In recent trials on aggressive cancers, they’ve shown incredible precision and effectiveness.

This isn’t science fiction anymore. It’s Israeli innovation turning the body into its own battlefield against disease.

From the lab bench to potentially saving millions of lives worldwide.

Frum Teen raped in NYC after Uber driver failed to check ID

The family of a 16-year-old Long Island girl who was allegedly raped in NYC by a man she met on Snapchat is holding Uber partly responsible for their daughter’s nightmare.

The Orthodox Jewish victim was taken without question to Brooklyn, where she met up with a man she met on Snapchat who sexually assaulted her in his car, and filmed it, her family claimed in a lawsuit against the ride-share company.

“As a result of this assault, my daughter was caused severe physical and emotional harm,” her mother said in court papers.

The nightmare began March 10, when the teen left her “tight-knit” upper middle class home in Nassau County and got into an Uber allegedly ordered for her by the attacker, according to court papers.

The girl’s night should have ended right then, her family contended.

Uber bars strangers from calling for rides for passengers under 18, and youngsters are not supposed to ride alone, unless they have a specific account intended for teenagers, according to the company.

“When picking up riders, if you feel they are underage, you may request they provide a driver’s license or ID card for confirmation. If a rider is underage, please do not start the trip or allow them to ride,” according to the company’s web site.

*MAJOR WIN FOR REPUBLICANS:* Virginia Supreme Court OVERTURNS redistricting referendum, strikes down Democrat gerrymandered map.

“Eff around and find out”: That taunt from Hakeem Jeffries celebrating Virginia’s gerrymander did not age well.

On Friday, the House minority leader found out that Virginia’s Supreme Court was not quite as gleeful as he about Democrats’ attempt to virtually eliminate Republican representation in the purple state.

The court just cooked the party’s infamous lobster, a district over 100 miles long that was designed to help devour the GOP’s slender majority in the House of Representatives.

It also cooked the ambitions of Gov. Abigail Spanberger and the Democratic establishment, which tossed aside any pretense of principle in a raw political gambit.

The resulting faceplant is nothing short of legendary: Spanberger’s Democrats have succeeded in alienating half of the state.

For the governor, the court’s decision was particularly embarrassing.

Inside Israel’s $210 Million Mega-Mansion as Billionaire Owner Slashes Price by $50 Million Amid Luxury Market Slowdown*

A massive Caesarea estate owned by Russian-Israeli billionaire Valery Kogan is back on the market with a reported $210 million asking price, even after a huge cut from its original sticker.

The mansion has Italian marble, 14-karat gold details, nearly 10,000 square feet of spa space, two kosher kitchens, and enough luxury to make it less of a house and more of a private palace. But the real story is bigger, Israel’s luxury market is still alive, just far more selective.

Israel built and defended secret base deep in Iraqi desert to support Iran air campaign

Israel set up a secret military base in the Iraqi desert to support its aerial campaign against Iran, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing US officials and other sources.

According to the sources, Israel built the base shortly before the war began in late February to serve as a hub for logistics to support the Israeli Air Force.

It also housed special forces troops and search-and-rescue teams, the report says.

To protect the outpost, Israeli troops even launched airstrikes against Iraqi forces who nearly discovered it in early March, the report adds.

The strikes killed one Iraqi soldier, Baghdad said at the time, after Iraqi media reported that a local shepherd witnessed “unusual military activity,” including helicopters and gunfire in a remote area. According to the Journal, the Israeli strikes succeeded in deterring Iraqi forces from further investigation.

Iraq, which initially blamed the attack on the Americans, said: “This reckless operation was carried out without coordination or approval.”

The US was not involved in the operation, sources tell the American outlet.

“It appears there was a certain force on the ground before the strike,
supported from the air, operating beyond the capabilities of our units,” a top Iraqi military official said at the time.

The report points to statements made by Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar in March, when he said that special forces had been conducting “extraordinary” operations during the conflict with Iran.

“The troops of the air force’s special units are currently carrying out extraordinary missions that can spark one’s imagination,” Bar said, without elaborating further.

According to an expert speaking to the Journal, the western desert of Iraq, where the reported base was located, is a perfect spot for a clandestine military outpost, given its sparse population and vast size.

“It’s normal that before operations you reconnoiter and set up these kinds of locations,” says Michael Knights, the head of the Horizon Engage intelligence firm.

The IDF declines to comment on the report.
