The far-left patronizing Kimmel while calling Charlie Kirk evil shows how heartless Dems have become

Democrats have surely heard the sage advice that when you’re in a hole, drop the shovel and walk away.

But they aren’t listening, and are still digging themselves in deeper and further out of favor.

With the party out of power and wildly unpopular, last week demonstrated that many leading Dems are not just clueless — they’re also heartless.

Their poor grip on reality surfaced through their choices of heroes and villains.

Like so many junkies, they are driven by Trump Derangement Syndrome to make one terrible decision after another.

On Thursday, some New York City officials, including Comptroller Brad Lander, were among a dirty dozen arrested by Homeland Security agents in lower Manhattan.

The pols staged a sit-down in the 10th-floor hallway of a federal detention facility for illegal immigrants arrested by ICE officials.

The area is closed to the public, but the officials demanded they be allowed to inspect the holding cells.

Told no, they sat on the floor for an hour chanting “NYers against ICE,” and waved a banner saying the same thing.

Tag team operation

Meanwhile, another group of Dem officials tried to block the facility’s garage doors where agents enter and leave with detainees.

They too were arrested, including Jumaane Williams, the radical public advocate, who demanded the release of all those being held.

Got that choice?

Are Letita James's Days Numbered? New Top Federal Prosecutor Was Falsely Accused of Being at US Capital on Jan 6

A conservative lawyer who has said she was falsely accused of being at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, has been tapped to serve as the top federal prosecutor for the Virginia office that was thrown into turmoil when its U.S. attorney was pushed out on Friday.

Mary “Maggie” Cleary said in an email to staff on Saturday that she had been named acting U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, according to a copy viewed by The Associated Press.

She replaces Erik Siebert, who resigned amid a push by Trump administration officials to bring criminal charges against New York Attorney General Letitia James in a mortgage fraud investigation.

“While this appointment was unexpected, I am humbled to be joining your ranks,” Cleary told employees in the email.

Cleary will take over an office in tumult over political pressure by administration officials to criminally charge James, a longtime foe of President Donald Trump. The investigation stems from alleged paperwork discrepancies on James’ Brooklyn townhouse and a Virginia home.

The Justice Department has spent months conducting the investigation but has yet to bring charges, and there’s been no indication that prosecutors have managed to uncover any degree of incriminating evidence necessary to secure an indictment. James’ lawyers have vigorously denied any allegations and characterized the investigation as an act of political revenge.

While Siebert said in an email to colleagues Friday evening that he had submitted his resignation, Trump said in a social media post: “He didn’t quit, I fired him!” Trump noted he was backed by the state’s two Democratic senators, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, adding: “Next time let him go in as a Democrat, not a Republican.”

Cleary recently rejoined the Justice Department as a senior counsel in the criminal division after working as a prosecutor in the Culpepper Commonwealth’s Attorneys Office. She also worked as deputy secretary of public safety in Virginia Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s administration and later served in Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares’ office.

Cleary wrote in an article for The Spectator World earlier this year about being wrongly identified in a photo as having been present on Capitol grounds during the Jan. 6 riot. Cleary, who at the time was working as a federal prosecutor in the Western District of Virginia, wrote: “Everyone knew I was a conservative. It was all over my resume. I was in leadership in my local Republican Committee. But I had not gone to the Capitol that day.”

She described being placed on administrative leave and interviewed by agents before later being cleared to return to work.

“In the last four years, I’ve been somewhat cautious about sharing my experience, but now, while Donald Trump is president, I feel emboldened to finally tell how, I, too, was targeted politically,” Cleary wrote.

At the time the article was published in May, she was interviewing to serve as U.S. attorney for the Western District of Virginia. Cleary said she wanted that job “to end this type of treatment.”

Qatar’s Audacious Attempt to Rewrite History

When Terror Sponsors Masquerade as Peacemakers

Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi’s op-ed in today’s Washington Post represents perhaps the most breathtakingly shameless attempt at historical revisionism since Baghdad Bob insisted American tanks weren’t in Baghdad. Qatar’s minister of state has the titanium-plated chutzpah to position his terror-funding nation as an innocent mediator while conveniently forgetting to mention the $1.8 billion his country has shoveled into Hamas coffers since 2012. What a way to celebrate the Bar Mitzvah year of giving Billions to murderers, kidnappers and rapists –  gaslighting with a Georgetown letterhead and a Washington Post byline!

Williamsburg couple host viral bark-mitzvah for 13-year-old pug: ‘Purely joyful’

DIN: What's with the mixed dancing at a simcha? Where are the Satmar neighbors?

Frankie the Pug recently reached her 13th birthday, and to celebrate she was feted by her owners at a well-attended bark-mitzvah in Williamsburg.

The adorable pug’s vibrant bash, which went viral on social media, was planned by owner Nicolette Mason, 39, and her partner, Nina Kossoff.

“Frankie is very sweet, emotionally intelligent, and gentle,” Mason told The Post.

“She makes everyone who she interacts with feel like they are her new favorite person.”

Mason got Frankie the pug puppy back in 2012.

Earlier this month, Mason’s neighbor filmed the moment when more than a dozen clapping guests encircled Frankie as she was hoisted into the air during the traditional Hora, a Jewish celebration regaling the guest of honor.

Mason has been hearing from all sorts of fans ever since — including folks “I haven’t seen or talked to since my own bat mitzvah.”

She said thousands of people have reached out to her and “expressed their own joy from seeing Frankie’s bark mitzvah.

“I think seeing something purely joyful was really needed for a lot of people right now,” the doggy mom added.

There are no plans to launch a pug party-planning business at the moment, “but who knows,” Mason said.

“If we’ve inspired anyone to do something joyful and bring a little whimsy into their lives, bringing their loved ones and community together — I love that.”

The hope is that this marks the first of many milestones the couple will celebrate with Frankie.

“She’s just the sweetest,” Mason added. “We feel so lucky to get to celebrate a milestone birthday with her, and hope to celebrate her Sweet Sixteen in a few years.”

Trump says he axed US attorney investigating NY AG Tish James: ‘He didn’t quit, I fired him!’

The US attorney investigating mortgage fraud allegations against New York state Attorney General Letitia James didn’t resign, he was fired, President Trump declared on Truth Social.

Erik Siebert, the top prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia, told staff he resigned Friday amid reports he was facing pressure from the Trump administration over the James probe, which has yet to result in criminal charges.

“Today I withdrew the Nomination of Erik Siebert as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, when I was informed that he received the UNUSUALLY STRONG support of the two absolutely terrible, sleazebag Democrat Senators, from the Great State of Virginia,” Trump posted on Truth Social, just after midnight Saturday.

“He didn’t quit, I fired him!” the president asserted.

“Next time let him go in as a Democrat, not a Republican,” Trump added. “Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Siebert, whom Trump nominated in May, had yet to be confirmed by the Senate. He announced his resignation after the president made clear he no longer wanted the prosecutor around.

“I want him out,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Friday afternoon.

Trump said he changed his mind on nominating Siebert after he learned that Virginia’s two Democratic senators, Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, had expressed support for him.

“I have other people, judges, and I have US attorneys for other states where I have the same situation. And they can’t get approved. So when I learned that they voted for him, I said, ‘I don’t really want him.’”

Siebert emailed his team in the Eastern District – after Trump’s Oval Office remarks – that he had turned in his resignation paperwork, according to multiple outlets.

“This evening, I submitted my resignation as Interim U.S. Attorney for [Eastern District of Virginia],” Siebert wrote. “For the last eight months, I have had the pleasure of leading the finest and most exceptional of DOJ employees who care deeply about our nation and our EDVA community.”

“Thank you for the lessons you have taught me, the sacrifices you have made, and the pursuit of justice you strive for every day,” he added.

In April, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte requested that the FBI open an investigation into James over allegations of mortgage fraud

Pulte alleged James “falsified records” to obtain favorable loans on a home she purchased in 2023 in Virginia and a Brooklyn brownstone she’s owned since 2001.

James allegedly indicated the Norfolk, Va. home would be her “principal residence” while acting as state attorney general.

She has dismissed the allegations as “baseless” and “part of a “revenge tour” by Trump because she brought civil fraud charges against him and his company, the Trump Organization.

Siebert had been weighing potential charges against James and was due to meet Monday with Justice Department Special Attorney Ed Martin to discuss the status of the case, a source familiar told The Post.

The US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Get set for the UN’s week of obscene Israel-bashing lies

This week’s United Nations General Assembly will be a gala of hypocrisy and hate, as the world’s worst tyrants, sycophants and cowards gather to unload all their scorn and bad faith at Israel.

Blaming the Jewish state for most of the world’s ills is UN routine even in times of peace; with the IDF beginning the final stages of its campaign to drive Hamas out of Gaza, the hate will be all the louder, the lies the more outrageous.

At center stage will be the endless insistence that Israel is committing “genocide” and imposing “famine” in Gaza.
