Rabbi Yair Hoffman's Convoluted Solution to the Series of Tragedies Amongst the Chareidim

With all due respect to Rabbi Yair Hoffman, who I admire, his solution to the series of tragedies is off the mark and contradicts itself.

He argues that Chareidim should monitor itself without the help of the Israeli government, police or the IDF..
"It shouldn’t be the Israeli government or the police or the IDF, it should be us."
So Rabbi Hoffman.. how did that idea work out for us??
Rabbi H, do you know who is in charge at the Kotel? Can you imagine if Chareidim would be in charge? We would have only chaos and anarchy.

Then the good rabbi suggests that the Chareidim should teach the world "Crowd Control" .... it would be laughable if it weren't so tragic!

  • We should be the ones showing the world that there people should be assessing the nature of the spaces being used – and how their exact people-handling capabilities are.
  • We should be the ones hiring the experts who tell us if the entrances and exits are adequate.
  • We should be the ones implementing ticket collection – because tickets actually save lives.
  • We and the experts we hire should be asking the questions: How best should barriers be employed?
  • Hey Rabbi, can you please hand me some of what you are smoking?
He does have some good ideas, see below

Biden to Rashida Tlaib: 'I'll do everything to keep your grandmother & family safe'

US President Joe Biden praised Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, promising to do "everything" to ensure her "Palestinian" grandmother's safety.

Tlaib's grandmother lives in the village of Beit Ur Al-Fauqa, near Ramallah. The village is under Palestinian Authority control.

Speaking in Dearborn, Michigan, Biden said: “I admire your intellect, I admire your passion and I admire your concern for so many other people.”

“From my heart, I pray that your grandmom and family are well. I promise you, I’ll do everything to see that they are.”

Biden's comments follow Tlaib's criticism of his response to Operation Guardian of the Walls, in which Israel is retaliating for Hamas' attacks on Israeli civilian centers. Though Hamas uses Gazans as human shields, Israel does everything possible to avoid civilian casualties in Gaza, including warning of impending strikes several hours prior, to allow the civilians in the area to evacuate.

No, the Gaza flare-up didn’t kill Trump’s wildly successful Abraham Accords

America’s foreign-policy establishment and peace-process industry are having a field day: The latest round of fighting between Israel and the terror group Hamas, they insist, has sounded the death knell for the Abraham Accords, the Trump-brokered peace treaties between the Jewish state and several Muslim nations.

Leading the Schadenfreude Brigade was White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who on Tuesday declared from her podium:

“We don’t think [the accords] did anything constructive, really, to bring an end to the longstanding conflict in the Middle East.” The peace-processors failed for decades to make Mideast progress, and the Gaza flare-up gives them and their DC mouthpieces (like Psaki) a cheap chance to crow, “I told you so.”

Reality disagrees, however.

The monumental agreements signed last year will continue to flourish, because their foundations remain solid — whereas doing things the peace-processors’ way will return America to the failures of the past.

Facebook shuts down pro-Israel page with millions of followers

Facebook shut down a pro-Israel page that reportedly had millions of followers as the worst conflict in years continued in the Gaza Strip.

“Jerusalem Prayer Group” founder Mike Evans claimed that critics targeted the site by posting “more than a million” comments then reporting they had never posted to the site, CBN reported.

“There was an organized attempt by radical Islamic organizations to achieve this objective,” Evans was quoted as saying.

“It was a very clever, deceptive plan by Islamic radicals.”

He also said the posts included anti-Semitic comments.

Evans didn’t offer proof for the claim but was quoted in Arutz Sheva 7 saying he hadn’t spoken to Facebook representatives since the page was shuttered on Friday.

A Facebook company spokesperson said: “We removed Jerusalem Prayer Team’s Facebook Page for violating our rules against spam and inauthentic behavior.”

The Facebook page became part of a conspiracy theory on social media, in which users said they found they were automatically following the page without ever having chosen to.

Soros-Backed J Street Demands Ceasefire Between Israel, Hamas

JStreet, the George Soros-backed radical left-wing Jewish group that often opposes the Israeli government, called for an immediate ceasefire in Israel’s war with Hamas on Monday — despite the fact that Hamas says a ceasefire would mean victory.

The group, which backed Joe Biden for president in 2020, criticized Biden for not calling for an immediate ceasefire. “To date, the Biden administration has simply not done enough to demand, broker and achieve an immediate end to the violence and destruction,” the group said in a statement, as quoted by the Times of Israel. “They have also provided near blanket diplomatic cover for the Netanyahu government,” J Street added.

The Biden administration began the conflict by drawing equivalences between Hamas terrorism and Israeli legal proceedings regarding disputed homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem. But after Hamas and Islamic Jihad launched thousands of rockets against Israeli civilians, the Biden administration began to change its posture. It has blocked the United Nations Security Council from demanding a ceasefire.

Hamas has let it be known that any ceasefire at this stage would be considered a victory for the group. “[I]f it happens, the ceasefire will be on our conditions, on conditions of the Palestinian resistance, not on conditions of Israeli occupation,” a Hamas spokesman said.

Israel, which has made significant progress in the destruction of Hamas and Islamic Jihad infrastructure, has said it needs at least two more days to neutralize the terror group, which continues to fire hundreds of rockets at Israeli civilians.

Terrorist carrying bomb and machine gun in Chevron ..bomb explodes in his hands, killing him.

An Arab terrorist was killed Tuesday morning during a failed bombing attack in the city of Hebron.

The terrorist approached IDF soldiers stationed at Gross Square in Hebron, carrying a knife, a 'Carlo' style submachine gun, and a pipe bomb he apparently intended to hurl at the soldiers.

The soldiers spotted the terrorist and opened fire.

During the incident, the pipe bomb exploded in the terrorist's hands.

The terrorist was killed during the abortive attack.

No injuries were reported among the IDF forces at the scene.

An army bomb squad was dispatched to remove the remnants of the pipe bomb.

The abortive attack took place at the entrance to the Avraham Avinu neighborhood, one of the Jewish enclaves near the Tomb of the Patriarchs.

How The Associated Press Collaborated With Nazis Against Jews

AP Berlin bureau chief Louis P. Lochner, somewhere in Germany, stands next to a Nazi soldier seated in a piece of artillery.
by

Did the Associated Press, the venerable American agency that is one of the world’s biggest news providers, collaborate with the Nazis during World War II?

A report and new counter-report on this subject offer a few striking lessons—not just for students of history but for anyone concerned with the way news coverage shapes our perception right now.

A paper last year by the German historian Harriet Scharnberg titled “The A and P of Propaganda” and published in Studies in Contemporary History makes the case that beginning in the mid-1930s, the AP’s photo office in Germany made compromise after compromise to keep reporting under Nazi rule, obeying successive orders from the Hitler regime until it ended up as a Nazi information arm in all but name. Remaining in Berlin after its competitors departed in 1935 allowed the AP to serve as a “key channel” for German propaganda, she wrote, an arrangement the New York-based agency was eager to preserve—even if it meant removing all of its Jewish photographers in keeping with Nazi race laws, for example, and even if it meant issuing a statement to the official SS magazine swearing that the photo bureau was pure Aryan.

In the Nazi years, according to Scharnberg, the AP was selling German images in the United States and selling images from the United States in Germany, allowing photographs of American Jews and others to be used in some of the vilest racial propaganda produced by the Nazi state. The AP was, for example, the “leading supplier” of images for a propaganda book called The Jews in the USA, and in third place among suppliers of photos for the book The Subhuman.

Eventually, Scharnberg claimed, the line between the AP’s German photo operation and the Nazi regime effectively ceased to exist—even as the Nazis pursued projects like the concentration camp at Dachau, which opened in 1933, and the “euthanasia” of disabled children, which began in the summer of 1939.

What did the AP decide to cover, and how? Well, the head of AP’s picture service in Berlin went on to be an official Nazi photo censor. If AP photos from the German advance into Poland and Russia offered an image of the war that didn’t show things like the organized murder of tens of thousands of Jews and others behind the lines by the Einsatzgruppen, it was perhaps because the photos were taken by people like Franz Roth—who was, we learn from Scharnberg’s report, simultaneously an “AP photographer, SS-Oberscharführer (senior squad leader) and photojournalist in the SS Propaganda Company (SS-PK).” In his SS role, Roth took propaganda images showing Soviet prisoners as ugly human specimens—and AP, in turn, “received exclusive rights to the propaganda photos,” which were published in newspapers in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
