“Parshat”
Although Tzionim couldn’t care less, Bnei Ashkenaz are not allowed to pronounce it that way. It’s also being oiver on Al Titoish Toiras Imecha. What compels DIN to follow the new fangled-mangled “cultural” lead of Ben Gurion vesiyatoi to abolish inzer heritage on the eve of Yetzias Mitzrayim?
Masoiranik In the 10 years that I have been posting Zera Shimshon, not one comment! Comes this Lomdoshe Am Haaretz who apparently has nothing to do on an Erev Shabbos and says : "Bnei Ashkenaz are not allowed to pronounce it that way."
This is of course, a bald-faced lie, as the Chasam Sofer z"l writes that his rebbe R' Nassan Adler z"l insisted on pronouncing the Sefardie way because, as he writes, " that is the true minhag avoisienu"
Having said that. all charediem including Brisk when speaking to one another all speak modern Hebrew! 99% of Briskers cannot speak another language, those that speak Yiddish, cannot be understood as their diction is hilarious and every other word is modern Hebrew! If you look at the official Zera Shimshon Website, you will clearly see that they write it in the correct way "Parshat" in the English Translation!
Message to the Am_ haaretz! Learn you History All Jews...ALL including Ashkenazik Jewry had one 'havara" and that is what we call today "Sfardie" It changed when the Haskala started attracting European Chareidim . They started on purpose misprouniicing certain letters! They started saying "Heeeeeeeee" for "HU," they did this because the Maskilim were very much into dikkduk! Thats why Charedie Yeshivos know nothing about dikduk! By Chareidim there is no difference between a "shav Na and a Shava Nach" A sfardie listening to an Ashkanzi leining is not Yoitzeh! The Nafaka mina comes at Parshas Zachor, so most Charedie shuls in Israel will have a Sfardie Baal Korah repeat the leining in the correct havara! There videos of Rav Ovadia Yoseg z"l mocking the Charedie havara and it is hilarious! He rules that Sfardim cannot be Yoitzeh with both the davining and Leining!
FYI, that guy didn’t make it up on his own. The Eidah in the old days used to harp about his tayna. Rav Zonnenfeld was probably the most high profile figure who actually started telling off Ashkenazim doing Sfardi pronunciation
1:56 Rav Zonnenfeld z"l was a very bad judge of Character as he was very close to a vicious hater of Zionism Dr. Jacob Israël de Haan, who was a Homosexual and whose lover was an Arab.
Interesting if your account is in fact true that he "told off Ashkenazim doing Sfardi pronunciation" since he was a Hungarian ! I have yet to meet a Hungarian that can pronounce even ONE SINGLE word in Loshon Koidish! Most of the Hungarians from where he came from were a bunch od ama-ratzim!
There’s a Gerrorist named Klein who today is high up in Torah Umesorah. I don’t know who coined this one but I’ve heard him mockingly refer to Toronto’s Zionist outfit “Associated Hebrew Schools” as “Attotiated”. Whatever the merits of DIN vs antagonists on how to pronounce, you got to admit that is pretty funny. It has in fact made some utterly non-Charedi people burst out laughing
Cohen That may or may not be true, but Chareidie Ashkenizim deliberately chose to mispronounce letters and words and place the "dagesh" on the wrong part of the word! And to Charediim there is no masculine only feminine ...HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE for a male Instead of "HU" But Hashem has a sense of humor and sent Charedim Eliezer Ben-Yehuda z"l to set them finally straight and now even the biggest haters of HU, now say it when speaking Hebrew which they all do, including the Neturei Karta.
Chassidish/Galician/Hungarian pronunciation was never correct by any standard.Even SR would make fun of that. Be that as it may Teveria masoretic- forerunner of western european tradition-were considered the experts in text & linguistic articulation.Certainly not conjunctive with your erroneous quote minhag avoseinu Better in that regard than Babylon. Or for that matter South Judea-forerunner of Yemenite lineage

There were many others
Every letter is supposed to have a different pronunciation.Hence tes / tav cannot be the same.

"Certainly not conjunctive with your erroneous quote minhag avoseinu"
