Passenger Miriam, who was aboard the Flydubai flight, described the terrifying moments:
*“We heard screams on the plane. Then they opened the cockpit and saw blood. Someone had stabbed the pilot with a pocketknife.”
“We prayed ‘Shema Yisrael.’ The Israelis, together with the crew, subdued the attacker. We made an emergency landing. There were moments when we thought we weren’t going to make it out alive.”
Israel Now Treating Flydubai Incident as Suspected Terror Attack

According to Amit Segal, preliminary findings indicate that the co-pilot repeatedly stabbed the captain. Crew members and passengers then managed to force their way into the cockpit and subdue the suspected attacker.
The investigation into the motive and full circumstances is ongoing.
Israeli officials are reportedly treating the Flydubai incident as a terror attack, after earlier reports raised the possibility of an attempted pilot suicide.
Passengers said the co-pilot repeatedly stabbed the captain, causing the aircraft to plunge from 34,000 to 13,825 feet in four minutes.
Crew members and passengers, including Israelis, reportedly forced their way into the cockpit and subdued the attacker, with some later seen in bloodstained shirts. A senior Israeli official said a “very serious disaster was averted,” adding that indications are growing the co-pilot intended to seize the plane and crash it with the passengers aboard.
