There are differences of opinion as to why the protests were shelved.
Some claim that this is because the yeshivot are on vacation and there was concern that the demonstrations would get out of control.
But the more credible claim is that the demonstrations were canceled because the detainees are not from frum traditional cities and they are not really yeshiva students.
The huge rallies will be held when young men from the heart of the frum cities are arrested.

They're on vacation? During the war? The war in which they say their Torah protects and provides the soldiers with success?

You post the dumbest comments. You have no brain in your head obviously. You need a lot of help. Torah does protect the world - and at the same time we're all human - we need to breathe and take a break every once in a while. Stop putting down the charaidim. You wish you could learn. Your the guy who can't learn so you put it down instead. Bnei Torah belong learning not in the IDF.

Bnei Torah of eligible age need to be in the IDF, we are all Bnei Torah and we are all learning ..
Are the soldiers getting a break? Every yeshiva guy should be matched to a soldier. When his soldier is sleeping, that's when he sleeps. When the soldier eats is when he eats. When the soldier gets a furlough to go home is when he gets to visit his family. When that soldier goes off duty the yeshiva guy needs to be reissued with a new soldier. Let's see the dedication and show that your learning is what protects.
