Last week I had the opportunity to see the modercade of the PM of Israel. One unmarked police car in front one in the back. No Lights no Sirens?

On August 15, 2022, at approximately 8:23 p.m. state police responded to U.S. Route 6 in the town of Woodbury for a report of a three-car collision with entrapment and serious injuries. Initial investigation revealed that a 2021 Ford Explorer was traveling east on US Route 6 when the operator of the vehicle, later identified as Chaim Gordon, age 24 from Spring Valley, NY, attempted to pass a Cadillac (carrying the Rebbe)in front of him and crossed over the double yellow line and entered the opposite lane striking a 2003 Nissan X-Terra head-on.
The Ford Explorer then crossed back over striking the Cadillac, he was attempting to pass. The operator of the Nissan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Chaim Gordon was transported to Nyack Hospital for minor injuries. Two passengers in the Ford, Yakov Gordon, age 22 and Mordchi Fromowitz, age 18, were transported to Nyack hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Additional passengers in the Ford, Levi Szwerin, age 22 and Duvid Grunwald, age 20 were transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment and later released.
The occupants of the Cadillac, including Rabbi David Twersky, age 81 of New Square were not injured. State Police were assisted by the Town of Woodbury Police Department.
This is an ongoing investigation with charges pending.

The Lubavitcher Rebbeh shlita went with a motorcade, it was this time of the year, in August, thirty one years ago, that Gavin Cato was killed by part of it, and then Yankel Rosenbaum Hy"d was murdered in the subsequent rioting/pogrom rampaging.
Law enforcement and insurance companies in general refer to mva as incident and not accident, because accidents are usually unavoidable but incidents are avoidable.
What does motorcade or lights and sirens have anything to do with what happened here? One car crossed double yellow line and into oncoming traffic. Doesn’t sound like no lights no siren no motorcade would change anything. I’m confused

With respect, Gaavah and wanting to give the impression of importance to others. Besides being illegal it's a big Chillul Hashem even if they don't kill innocent people. And the comment "Chevra Kadisha wasn't needed" is pretty disgusting, especially considering the guy was killed by a negligent Jew.

It has everything to do with the motorcade, it's obvious that he was trying to get in front of the Cadillac carrying the rebbe, he somehow lost his place because another car in part of this charade tried to go in front and he wanted to make sure he was in his "designated place"
