Rav Zushe Blech z"l of Monsey Dies Suddenly Kashrus Expert


We regret to inform my readers  of the Petira of HaRav Zushe Blech Z”L, one of the world’s leading kashrus experts. He was Niftar on Erev Shabbos.
He was the husband of Vittie Blech, father of Ariella (Yitzchak) Greenberg, Dalya (Dovid) Addi, Benzion (Lakie) Blech, Daniel Blech and brother of Debbie Berson
The Levayah will take place Sunday January 21, 1:30PM Graveside at Agudas Yisrael, 6300 Hamilton Ave Rosedale, MD
Shiva will be observed at 6205 Lincoln Ave, Baltimore, MD 21209 (please park at Ner Tamid); Shacharis 7:30am, Mincha/Maariv 5:00pm, Mincha Friday 1:00pm.

DIN.how come non of the Jewish sites are reporting the friday night massive hotel fire in Palm Springs packed with Satmar chasidim who came to stay with the Rebbe,

He was an expert and always was.... in fact he wrote the Kashrut Book ... that is the bible for Kashrus agencies ...

I worked with him. He was really ehrliche yid who treated jews of all stripes and colors with respect. He was a talmid chochom a genius and a really nice person

What i was pointing out is the order of words that you posted. Of course he was a big Talmud chacham and kashrus expert. I'm saying that you should change the title of this article.

It looks like you are saying suddenly kashrus expert.

Having learned in a shiur he gave in Silver Spring nearly 40 years ago, Rabbi Blech was foremost a talmidchochom and knew gantz shas, a most unusual and rarely seen accomplishment for someone that young at the time. Torah achievement has suffered a tremendous loss with this petirah.

I think he was about 68. He probably took a lot of flak for being independent minded and accepting places which were 100% kosher but did not have a "drummer ambiance" like 7-11 in Monsey. Frankly he probably saved all the guys who needed a hangout from eating treif.
