Artscroll Publishes First Zionist Siddur Complete With "Tefillah For The Zionist State of Israel and a Prayer for the IDF!

Hey ...... Hold your horses DIN...... This Headline is False..a Lie

Didn't Artscroll publish the "RCA Siddur?" Which included the Tefillah for the Medinah and the IDF???

Ok guys .... great question....
I'm always proud of DIN readers that are able to immediately challenge me....

So listen and listen carefully what happened here!

It's been 35 years since Artscroll published its first siddur, and it is hard to find an English speaking home that doesn't have an Artscroll siddur!

It catered to the English speaking Yeshivishe Oilim and to Baalei Teshuvah, and I have to say that it was a great success and a remarkable achievement.

At the time when Artscroll first thought of publishing a siddur, the Satmar anti-Zionist SHIT'ah was slowly but surely poisoning the mindset of the Yeshivishe world  and the Artscroll "gedoilim" advised them to publish the siddur ..."neutral" "parve" ... so as not to offend the Borcilino Hat wearers and they also made the  cheshbon that the  Baalei Teshuvah would have no clue what was going on anyway, so why not appease the Litvishe Black & White world.

Problem:
The modern shuls such as the Young Israels and RCA affiliated shuls that were using the Birnbaum Siddur were offended and refused to buy the standard siddur for the shuls....not only that ...
Artscroll went into a panic .... because Artscroll was also publishing the Chumash and they were afraid that the modern Shuls that were using the Hertz Chumash would boycott that as well.

Solution:
No fools ..are the Artscroll hierarchy ...they immediately teamed up with the RCA (Rabbinical Council of America) and came up with an identical siddur that Artscroll published that included the RCA requirements of including the "Tefillah for the Medina" and the Tefillah for the IDF!
and to satisfy the JewHaters ...I mean the antiZionist Black hatters ...they put out the word that the "RCA SIDDUR" wasn't really an "Artscroll Siddur" .....
"Look ".... they yelled... "it has a different  cover and it has prayers that we don't agree with .."

Now they figured everyone is happy ...
the Yeshivisha Black Hats have their siddur ...
and the Modern guys have their siddur ....

Problem:
Artscroll misjudged the Modern Orthodox Congregants who were the silent majority buyers of the Artscroll Siddurim and the Chamushim and who never forgot Artscroll's perfidy that had the audacity of publishing a siddur that didn't include prayers acknowledging the miracle of the birth of Israel and that refused to print a Me'Shebeirach for our children in uniform putting their lives on the line in Israel on a daily basis!

Well, finally after many years the RCA made a deal with Koran Publishing house a publishing house that caters to the Modern intellectual wing of the Jewish people .... and published a beautiful siddur that anyone would want to own, and they dropped Artscroll like a ton of bricks!
Problem Again:
The Siddur and the Chumash (Which I will get into a different post)
are the best selling books of any kind ...
They sell more than the English Talmud or their "fake" Bios that except for the picture reads the same.....
Everyone needs a siddur and everyone needs a chumash ... and if actually used, have to be replaced often...
Artscroll big shots went into panic mode; ... they couldn't afford to lose so much money ...

Solution:
This time they decided not to consult with their "gedoilim" and published the "RCA Siddur"  ... but removing the caption "RCA"...
and calling it the "Synagogue Siddur"
and so for the sake of the holy dollar they dumped their "Yeshivishe" values and published on their own, without any collaboration with any other Modern Organization ....
A ..... First ...
A Zionist Siddur ....

I believe the publisher's spelling is "Koren" not "Koran". Also Artscroll never included commentary from the the Rav, and that bothered them. The Koren siddur includes him and others too. Also the translation is supposed to be more poetical.

There were/are a few comments of "the Rav" (R. Yoshe Ber) included in the Artscroll chumash, IIRC.

WAY WORSE still--- when artscroll published machzors of the Rav, they created a new imprint call K'hal so that they wouldnt be labled an artscroll project.

The frummers' kiki-ness is so transparent, but they think we are dummies. And we still subsidize them and their institutions without any reciprocity
