I followed the news reports from Israel very carefully. You are wrong. Even the special needs soldiers who clean the army storage areas, barracks, kitchens , etc.are doing more than the guys hanging out for hours in restaurants , pizza shops, and refreshment areas in yeshivos.

I attended an event in a local shul that was raising money for widows of soldiers. The guest speaker was an amazing young soldier whose job was to watch the Gaza border on her computer screens. Before getting the job , Sshe had to pass a difficult test about the location of trees, bushes,walking paths, roads, of many miles near the border as they appeared on the computer screens. The pictures and videos were provided by cameras placed near the border. This female soldier had this job many months and reported what she thought were Arabs preparing for war. Unfortunately her reports and the reports of the other female soldiers were ignored. She explained to the audience that there weren’t enough weapons or soldiers to prevent the attacks.She was saved by a very young commander who voluntarily came down to Gaza, ( without orders from his superiors), with his men to save her life and the lives of the few remaining soldiers. He also attended the event. He looked very young.She recorded everything that happened that day with photos, videos, and audio recordings, and those in the audience were able to witness her bravery and the bravery of all the soldiers. In addition ,one female army unit with a female commander killed more terrorists than any other unit .The female commander saw the facial expression of a terrorist before she killed him. He was shocked that he was being shot by a woman.May Hashem bless these women with happiness, excellent health , and prosperity.
