מרן ראש הישיבה שליט"א "יום הזכרון הוא יום קדוש ונורא" Yom Hazikoron ..

Translation Seforim Blog
R. Mazuz refers to Yom Hazikoron as “kadosh ve-nora” and calls for synagogues to recite the prayer for Israeli soldiers every Shabbat.

As he notes, if someone donates ten shekalim you make a blessing for him, so how could you not make a blessing for one who spills his blood for the Jewish people?

I understand full well why haredim don’t say the prayer for the State of Israel. Yet I have never understood how haredi society could refuse to recite a mi-sheberakh prayer for the soldiers, the same soldiers who are the only reason why there can be a haredi society in Israel in the first place.

Interestingly enough, in all the conversations over the years that I have had with haredim regarding this matter, to my recollection I have never met one who agreed with, or was willing to defend, his community’s avoidance of the prayer. (I am referring to mainstream haredim, not Satmar or other anti-Zionists.)

  1. Mi Sheberach on behalf of Jewish Soldiers that defend the Jewish
People living in Eretz Yisroel should be a point of contention?
The Charedi Yeshiva world is reluctant to recite the Mi Sheberach.
Although ArtScroll in their interlinear translation Sidur for Shabat &
Yom Tov have the Yizkor for the IDF.
In their Machzorim they have the Misheberach for Tzahal. Both places
with a clear explanation that they reprinted it from Sidur Minchas
Yerushalayim lest someone might just discard the Sidur for being too
    Zionistic.
This sounds like a disclaimer almost like walking on eggs.
It is reprehensible that The Charedi Yeshiva world at best has to
apologetic to show gratitude for someone who is ready to sacrifice his
life for someone so that he may learn in safety. That soldier should
be extended the minimum courtesy of a Hatzoloh member attending a
    call.
It is about time that all Shuls should recite the the Mi Sheberach to
the IDF & not to succumb to the tentacles of Satmaritis.

  5. It is difficult to accept Anti Zionist chareidi activists as Jews. Perhaps they are Jewish by birth, but by religion and philosophy they are deviants and apikorsim who seek to overthrow the Torah and substitute their anti-Semitic philosophy which denigrates the modern State of Israel, its soldiers and its patriots. This practice and teaching is clearly against a fundamental teaching of the Torah. I believe the modern eiruv rav can be found wherever you find anti-Zionists dressed up like religious Jews. They are not Jews and they are not religious except the religion of hating Jews. Col dor v' dor refers to these as much as anyone.

I'm glad you posted the truth ...and it is exactly this truth that is killing our youth spiritually ....they hear in Yesivah "Vehavta Le'reacha Kamoicha" they hear why the talmiddim of Rebbe Akivah died ....
and then they come to shul and see a bunch of Pius Hypocrites ....

  7. To anonymous,
A normal orthodox shul that doesn't say the mi Shebayrach is not normal. That's right, most orthodox shuls are not normal. They are pareve on Israel or outright hate her. So they're not normal, but a disgrace. I'd rather daven in my bedroom without a minyan than in your normal orthodox normal Israel hating shuls. The Germans killed the orthodox Zionists normal haters anyway.
