Last night as the crowd expectantly awaited the lighting of the bonfire an announcement was made in the name of the Rebbe requesting all chassidim who live in the diaspora and own Smartphones to throw them into the bonfire.
The gabbai also told the chassidim in advance of the ceremony that when Reb Herschel Kahn, of RCCS asked the Rebbe what can we do about the terrible childhood illnesses that are becoming increasingly more common- the Rebbe answered, "Every burnt machine [Smartphone] is worth another burning illness".
Many of the visitors were touched by the Rebbe's response and on the spot gave over their phones to the Rebbe. The Rebbe did not touch the phones, and so his gabbai threw them into the fire. The Rebbe instructed everyone to say in unison," And you shall remove evil from your midst, Blessed is he who sanctifies His name in public."
So now, we are all waiting with bated breath when the holy rebbe will instruct his followers to throw the pedophiles and molesters into the fire!
Charedi Jewry always needs a villain to blame the misfortunes of man.
ReplyDeleteToday it is the internet & smartphones.
Before the advent of internet we had no OTD youngsters.
No one was caught with infidelity.
The Chafetz Chaim was approached 120 years ago whether a frum Jew we should ban the telephone since it would lead to speaking Lashon Hara for hours from Radun to Paris.
The Chafetz Chaim replied "I understand that you may also learn Torah on this new apparatus"
We have to embrace technology & utilize it to propagate Torah with Knowledge.
There's no requirement according to Halacha to burn pedophiles and molesters, but there is a requirement to get rid of an apikores like you, so would do a chesed to all of KY to just drop dead

DeleteUsing a medurah honoring the holy Rashbi to have his Gechazi throw "tamei" objects into it is contemptible.
ReplyDeleteThe smartphone is not inherently evil - ever! But people may be.

ReplyDeleteWell it is obvious why the rebbes tell the common people to burn their cellphones. The reason is that once these cripple brained morons start watching stupid television shows on their cellphone and maybe watch the news, they won't be that interested in the rebbe so much after that. Then the rebbe would have to get a job. Probably as a taxi dispatcher or a fish cleaner.
ReplyDeleteOr a smartphone repair person
