Here are the options
Hezbollah – if Israel attacks southern Lebanon, we will strike Kiryat Shmona.
Israel – if Kiryat Shmona is attacked, we will strike Beirut.
Iran – if Beirut is attacked, we will strike Israel.
Israel – if Israel is attacked, we will strike Iran.
Iran – if southern Lebanon is attacked, we will strike Israel.
The first four has already passed; the fifth is the important one.
Its purpose? To make Trump force Israel to stop destroying Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
Only Hours will tell.
Well except thast ToI reported yesterday that Israel bombed Iran after Trump made his announcement.
ReplyDeleteOne gets the feeling that these announcements are just for show.

DeleteI don't believe that THIS time it's for show, I think Trump wants to stop and give up, his deal may very well be worse than Obama's, and that's what Philipps, the English Journalist is saying!
I agree but here's the problem - if Trump gives up and goes home, no one will believe his "We won!" attempt to claim victory. Even his own party will disown him. Then he'll fire Hegseth and blame him for the loss which will just create more turmoil in the GOP.
DeleteMeanwhile midterms are slowly approaching. Now, right now the Democrats are ahead but that's not because people like them. They don't. They just think the Republicans are worse. A loss to Iran will cement that and that will creat desperation in their ranks.
I really think Trump is stuck with two options - suck it up, claim to win and go home or level Iran once and for all. The problem with the second option is that the American public isn't into this war. They're not calling for the destruction of Iran. They want the war over as well so an aggressive final surge won't win him any points even when it works.
