The Israeli Left will get more desperate in the next few months.
ReplyDeleteLast year they had Bibi on the ropes as they convinced themselves , much of the country and international opinion that all of Israel sided with them in their fight against judicial reform.
Then the war happened and they were forced to rally around the flag, with him holding the flag and this grated at them.
So they hijacked the hostage families and resumed the same protests, this time claiming they prioritized the hostages being returned and that Bibi was purposefully trying to prevent that. People saw through this lie, of course and now polls show he's in position to win another election if it's held tomorrow.
So they're going to have to ump the ante. The thought that he will win an election despite being "the worst fascist prime minister ever!" is not something they can stand.
