Candace Owens endorses outlandish antisemitic conspiracy theory alleging Jews are ‘drunk on Christian blood'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Candace Owens, a prominent figure at the Daily Wire, recently expressed support for an ancient conspiracy theory alleging that Jewish religious leaders engage in the ritualistic consumption of Christian blood.

Owens, who has been increasingly critical of Israel and the Jewish community, has sparked controversy with her remarks.

In a public spat with fellow commentator Ben Shapiro, Owens made remarks interpreted as antisemitic. She declared, "You cannot serve both God and money," a statement widely viewed as an antisemitic shot at Shapiro.

Owens has further stoked tensions by attributing the rise in antisemitism to "political Jews" and suggesting a conspiracy involving a "small ring" of Jewish individuals in Hollywood and Washington, DC.

She concluded, "All of us Black, Spanish, Jewish, Chinese, Japanese, all Americans should want answers because this appears to be something that is quite sinister."

The situation escalated when Rabbi Shmuley Boteach recently accused Owens of promoting antisemitic sentiments among her followers, leading to threats against him.

As per Mediaite, Owens has been accused of endorsing the historic "blood libel" theory, which falsely accuses Jews of murdering Christians, particularly children, for ritualistic purposes.

This theory has a dark history, with numerous instances leading to violent persecution of Jewish communities over the centuries.

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), scholars have documented about 100 blood libels that took place from the twelfth to sixteenth centuries. Many of them resulted in massacres of Jews.

Last Wednesday, March 13, prominent Rabbi Shmuley Boteach took to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse Owens of being an "arch antisemite" who is encouraging her followers with antisemitic sentiments to threaten the lives of Jews, particularly targeting him.

"I have received untold numbers of messages like these from Candace's Jew-hating fans. Candace Owens and @officialbenshapiro will be responsible for any acts of violence against Jews incited by Candace and the @dailywire," declared Boteach, who also shared a direct message he received from someone threatening to knock him "the out" and "spit in your face".

Boteach, who was also targeted in Owens' discussion about a "small ring" received numerous responses ridiculing him for his post, among which Owens apparently found one particularly noteworthy as she liked that post.

"It says February 20th, Rabbi. Are you drunk on Christian blood again?" asked a user with the handle @christ_gnosis.

Owens' apparent endorsement of this theory has sparked outrage and condemnation from various quarters, including the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The ADL highlights the dangerous consequences of perpetuating such falsehoods, citing historical instances of violence against Jews fueled by similar allegations.

Despite the controversy surrounding her remarks and actions, Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing has affirmed that Owens will not be dismissed from her position, stating, "Unless those opinions run afoul of the law or she violates the terms of her contract in some way, her job is secure and she is welcome at Daily Wire."

However, the Daily Wire has not responded to requests for further comment on the matter.

  1. We Jews are forbidden to consume even a drop of blood. We check our eggs, and dispose of the entire egg that has a dot of blood ( bloodspot) because of the prohibition. And then we're accused of drinking blood by the cup!!

  2. "You cannot serve both God and money" ? Why ? What's the problem ? The Greek church has 100 billions in the banks and in properties. The Vatican itself owns zillions. C'mon Candace, wake up !
