Satmar Rebbe Condems Agudat Israel's Statement to Biden "Its a Shame and a Disgrace"

 

DIN: I don't know whether I should laugh or cry! 

The Agudath Israel of the US is under the guidance of the Me'oetzet Gedoilei Ha'Torah, and they decided to issue a statement directed to the Biden administration telling them in effect to bud out of Israeli politics.

The truth is every single frum Shul should gather signatures and send them to members of congress with this exact message,

Comes this brazen Chassidish leader from Williamsburg who ridicules and bashes the Litvishe Gedoilei Hatorah that decided to send this letter to Washington .

One of those members of the Me'oetzet is none other than Rav Malkiel Kotler, Rosh Yeshiva of Lakewood who is in the habit of licking the derrière of R' Zalman Leib, the Satmar Rebbe. I'm wondering if R' Malkiel will come out with a statement defending the Litvishe Gedoilim of the Me'oetzet, I will not hold my breath!

It's one thing to disagree, it's a whole other thing when a leader of thousands of Chassidim mocks and denigrates with the harshest words other Gedoilim.

And on what day did he do this? 

Just days from  the Yurzeit of his uncle R' Yoel Teitelbaum the founder of the Satmar Chassidus. It was his uncle that had no problem calling other Chassidish & Litvishe Gedoilim, "Meenim & Apikorsim!"  The Rebbe z"l was against the Chareidie Parties sitting in the Knesset and wrote in his Vayoel Moshe that anyone that supports a party that sits in Knesset is a "meen and apikoras" Among those "apikorsim" would be the Bais Yisrael of Ger, Belzer Rebbe, Rav Shach and Harav Avadia Yosef z"l, etc etc.

The Satmar Rebbe attacked Agudat Israel of America after it sent a strong statement to the Biden administration about its interference in Israel's internal affairs regarding the legislation of the legal reform.

 "Agudat Israel did not see fit to protest against any of the decrees of the State of Israel, but for the sake of the country's politics it did see fit to go public"

The Rebbe made his sharp remarks in a speech he gave to thousands of Hasidim at the central celebration of his uncle, the Rebbe Yoel Teitelbaum  of Satmar, zt"l, held on Sunday in the city of Kiryat Joel, where he arrived from his home in Williamsburg.

"I must note," said the Rebbe, "that unfortunately the politicians of Agudat Israel in America took a stand when they wrote to the American administration why it intervenes in internal matters that belong to the State of Israel. It's a disgrace."

The Rebbe went on to explain that "the same ego never saw fit to take a stand on any decree of the state and protest against it, but for the internal politics of the State of Israel it saw fit to intervene and come out publicly. This is in the sense of 'you did not protest my (G-d's) honor,' but the honor of criminals from the malicious government you did protest, which both strengthens the criminals and creates the appearance that frum Jews are of the same opinion with all those who rebel against the kingdom of heaven and carry out rebellion against the nations," the Rebbe added.

"You see how connecting with the wicked blinds, because "bribery will blind the eyes of the wise and pervert the words of the righteous," the Rebbe concluded.

Agudath Israel in the United States issued a strong statement against the Biden administration and members of Congress for interfering in Israel's internal affairs for advancing the legal reform plan. In its statement, they wrote: "U.S. lawmakers and other government officials, while entitled to publish their views, cannot use their positions of power to interfere in the internal affairs of another democratic sovereign state."

"What form, if any, legal reform in Israel should take is a matter for Israelis to determine, through Israel's vibrant democratic process."

"The United States will rightly resent another nation's attempts to influence our domestic political affairs. Members of Congress and other senior American officials should think about it, and leave the Israeli issues to the Israelis."
