Former Trump advisor Michael Flynn blames Jews for their own deportations to Auschwitz

The Auschwitz Museum has slammed comments made by former Trump adviser who blamed Jews for their own deportations at the hands of the Nazis.

In a recent speech, Michael Flynn, a Christian nationalist, suggested mothers were complicit in handing over their young children to go on trains to Auschwitz.

He said “Any mother who would be told, ‘Give me your child, give me your baby, we’re going to separate you, we’re not just going to put you into a club coach car. We’re going to stuff you like a sardine into a train.’”

He went on to claim “there weren’t any guards,” implying that Jews could have simply left or said no to Hitler’s soldiers.

A clip of his speech was posted on Twitter and has been viewed over 8 million times.

In a statement posted on Twitter, Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial said: “The assertion that Jews could have easily resisted during deportations to extermination simply due to their numerical strength compared to the guards oversimplifies the dire circumstances they faced.”

Flynn, who lasted 22 days in the White House as a national security adviser to former US President Donald Trump, was speaking at an event in Michigan described as “A Celebration of America’s Freedom and Future.”

It is not the first time Flynn has made headlines for Holocaust denial and antisemitism.

In July 2016 Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign manager suggested that Russians were behind the leak of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails.

In response, Flynn suggested that Jews were blaming Russia to hide their own role in the leak.

He tweeted: “‘The USSR is to blame!’ … Not anymore, Jews. Not anymore,”.

Flynn later said the tweet was a “mistake” and added his “sincerest apologies.”

In December 2016 four Jewish groups joined 53 organisations calling on Trump to rescind Flynn’s nomination as national security adviser.

More recently, in October 2021 Flynn blamed Jews for not saving themselves during the Holocaust.

Speaking at a New Hampshire meet-and-greet for then-U.S. Senate candidate Don Bolduc, he said: “Jesus, how could somebody stand there and just allow these people to do that to them?”

“And then knowing what they knew, how could they get on that train? I would have rather attacked that machine gun nest.”

He likened the vote for US Senate to the dilemma Jews faced, “we are on that train right now,” he said.

  1. Being an idiot should not be a crime. And any form of Holocaust denial IS idiocy, or more likely malicious. But what if people want to criminalise "climate change denial" or "election denial"? It started on the legal precedent of criminalising Holocaust denial. Because the people who supported that didn't give a damn about Jews. They want to give Iran nukes and destroy Israel. No thanks. Don't block my view of the present by pretending to care about my family that was murdered. Bad laws like hate crimes laws and Holocaust denial laws WILL bite you in the@ss sooner or later. When someone says that Nazis are evil and then says "Free Palestine!" I tell them to take their fake solidarity and stick it where the sun don't shine.

  3. Yeah, you'd think Jews would've wanted to go to Auschwitz because it would teach them a good work ethic!

  4. In truth, many Jewish philosophers and leaders, including current and former Israeli security leaders were confounded by this reality, which is known as the sheep to slaughter phenomenon. The majority of Jews were easily sent to their death, compounding the painful reality of the Holocaust and its devastating aftermath, which is still felt today unfortunately. In fact, a motivating factor behind Israel's robust military and security apparatus is a direct result of this reality; and the understanding that Jews must take power into their own hands is a foundational principle of the State of Israel.

    1. There used to be an old value system of being "too proud to fight" back
Some things were worse than death

  5. He isn't the first one asking the question, why didn't they resist and just went to the slaughter like sheep.
Actually right after the holocaust when the survivors started pouring into Israel, for years the Sabra's of Israel kept asking the same question..

So don't see why everyone gets twisted out of shape by what Mike Flynn asked.
Again, let's not forget for a minute, the real enemies of Jews are not the far right but the far left.
This filthy demented Alzheimer diseased treasonous America-hating and Israel-hating monster in the White House is a thousand times a bigger danger than all the far right wingers combined.
It is the far-left Marxist DemonRats who are the real Nazis of this generation
