What Happened With the "Re-Opened Case" of the Murdered Chaim Weiss ?

The above video, reporting the re-opening of the case was 10 years ago!

Within the last 48 hours I have been in touch with people who have some knowledge with this case. And they believe that it was an inside job.

Many suspect that the killer was known to Chaim a"h  and may be living in Israel. He should be in his 50s. Some suggested that the killer has since married and divorced. If that is in fact true then he has an ex-wife, who may know something. So if there is divorced lady out there that was married to a Long Beach alumnus that is in his 50s please contact us.  If he did move to Israel and made Aliyah, then he could have changed his name at that time, making it harder to track him down, but his ex would have his updated information.

The people who got in touch with me actually named an individual that they suspect is the killer, who was a student there at the time. This individual in fact did marry and did get divorced and did move to Israel.

I am asking former classmates, especially former campers or staff members to contact me at
dusiznies@aol.com
The parents are getting older and need closure.

I also need more information on the principal Rabbi Avram Cooper who moved to Lakewood, and is retired, he for sure knows a lot but refused to talk to a reporter in 2017.

Here is a link for more interesting tidbits about this tragic case:

Someone did blog about the case, read the very hair-raising comments on that post

Below find video explaining why the killer must have been a frum Jew and maybe even a student.

  1. Shkoyach Horav DIN for keeping on top of this. Long Beach is perhaps an even worse cult than Philly. The Hanhala are an immoral disgrace. The whole crime operation is soon departing Long Beach to relocate on Red Schoolhouse Rd in the Chestnut Ridge section of Monsey.

As far as the suspect, was he a mesivta or beis medrash bochur at the time of the murder? And did he end up in BMG like most Long Beach robots do?

  2. I don’t understand how parents sent their kids back to this yeshiva.

  3. sof davar hakol neshma, sounds like it was an inside job. Sounds like he knew a secret that the killer was afraid would get out. I lean towards it being a hit man hired by someone inside to do the dirty work to make Chaim disappear.

Another kashya on the dumb parents is how they give the place credence after the din Torah with "Split Beach" / Belle Harbor. Shtockfeigel didn't listen to Rav Schach. It was ein zach when the Fressers backed Shtockfeigel by ordering all yeshivos to not take any departing Long Beach bochurim. But what excuse did future parents have?

The Weiss Hy"d murder is connected to a molestation cover up. There is also a very recent NY State Supreme Court case where a bochur in Long Beach was molested & the current Hanhala (which includes some of the old guard) are covering it up. Business as usual!

  5. It’s pretty obvious this character calling himself rabbi Cooper knows exactly what happened.
When Chaim was in Europe visiting his grandfather, this creep kept calling in desperation wanting to know when he is coming back because he must speak to Chaim.
When his father took him to Cooper, he absolutely refused to tell his father what this was all about, and five weeks later he was murdered..
You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to realize this Cooper creep is up to his neck in this murder, and knows exactly what and why it happened.
Why the Cops did not put more pressure on Cooper is absolutely mind boggling.
Wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of Benjamin’s were used to make the cops back off the case.

Read here about Long Beach Administrator at the time of the murder, Shlomo Lesin.

Lesin is agav shver of Chaim Pechter-Fechter who is known as the most shver baal davar rosh yeshiva of this dor. He's a talmid of the Philly cult.

Pechter's daughters are nasty, miserable women who have no business being in chinuch. They are infamous for numerous episodes of going way beyond being nightmare mechanchos. They try to destroy the lives of the girls!

  7. Long Beach is a very strange, sick place. They all worship Feigelstock despite that he was known as the weakest old Lakewooder. He was stuck in Uruguay during the war where he could not learn very much.

Retzicha is in the Aseres Hadibros but the talmidim of 1986 all recently lawyered up & refused to speak when detectives wanted to interview them. Protecting the brand is the highest order in Feigelstock worship, not doing retzon Hashem.

I'm actually in touch with many of Chaim's z"l classmates and we are I believe coming very close to the truth. Stay tuned

  9. The Pechter girl who was head of Nosson Neuman's camp may be a daughter in law. Mothers have been crying about her rishus done to their daughters on a website where heimish yentas trade notes.

The obese Pechter girl became a "behavior analyst". Good Lord! Her friggin behavior is what needs analyzing! Totally fitting that she became daughter in law of the SOB Lippy Geldwerth who went to war to protect his good friend Yudi Kolko. Lippy slandered Kolko opponents for years during his toxic shul droshos.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billie_%22Buckwheat%22_Thomas

The nasty little twit Rachelli Pechter who was teaching in Passaic married someone Parsons. Someone was laughing that it makes him think of the CEO installed at Time Warner for Affirmative Action reasons, Richard Parsons. He was known throughout Redneck America as "Buckwheat" Parsons, evoking the Buckwheat character on "The Little Rascals".

  10. You had to pass many rooms to get to the boy-- you had to know where you were going... it wasn't random... a boy given his own room bc this was the plan all along... and what was the private meeting about... why the desperate call from camp... why the boy refused to tell his father what the meeting was about.. why the secrecy?... ... either he was molested or he witnessed something... and he needed to be eliminated to save someone else. Dont think it was a hitman. Think it was someone in the yeshiva-- not the janitor but someone connected to Copper-- choosing halloween intentionally to throw the law off. Remember the woman who said she saw a boy ont he boardwalk that night with look of terror in his face... I would say check out every kid who was there who ended up divorced whether in israel or LAKEWOOD... you involved in such a matter and it is going to haunt you your whole life-- you gonna have a life full of problems. You have no idea who was involved in what and then manipulated/blackmailed by the rabbi to do it.

  12. I don’t believe he was murdered by a student for a variety of reasons.
    1. The janitor was always waving his knife around , didn’t get along with Chaim and Ran away back to his country shortly thereafter
    2. If it was a kid at the school he wouldn’t be been able to do such a clean job without a drop of blood in his room? Especially on shabbos , with no weapon or blood found anywhere!
    3. The person didn’t really know where Chaim was and had to check rooms before they found chaims room
    4. I just don’t think a Jewish kid would’ve not succumbed to the interrogations that these kids had afterwards.
    5. The father lived in states island and worked in diamonds
This looks like the workings of the mafia
    6. The weird letter they received in the mail as well as the weird spray paint on Chaims grave were the workings of a Gentile
    7. Chaim had NO enemies in Yeshiva and was well liked by all
    8. Not a fingerprint found anywhere with a boy brutally murdered as he was? Hard to believe
    9. It was Halloween night

    1. The janitor was in an army base on that Shabbos, he had joined months before that.
    2. You could say that about everyone
    3. He only checked one other room.
    4. The "interrogations" weren't that great even according to you where you claim it was the janitor.
    5. Mafia don't kill family especially children
    6. The weird letter could have been written by anyone even a rebbe
    7. That makes this case so hard to crack
    8. The police did a crappy job collecting evidence, also fingerprints are hard to lift from a bedcover
    9. So?

    ReplyDelete
  14. There was a point in time that I believed he had been killed by a fellow student but I no longer do. This case has been investigated and reinvestigated ad nauseum with the assumption that a student was the perpetrator, yet there were no leads.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Are there any updates on this?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Of course, no updates. Every few years this case it reopened, we are told how about how a fellow student was guilty, claims are made that now people are talking and the request goes out for more people to do so etc. But then when no one is looking the whole thing is dropped again.

Had the many, many investigations into this murder not been conducted with such a heavy bias and assumption of guilt on the part of a fellow student (or faculty member) they probably would have found the murderer. But when you conduct an investigation with a forgone conclusion that isn't true, of course you get nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  17. 9:43
Even if the students or faculty were totally innocent, they needed to be investigated one at a time, and what I mean by that is, the students could have known outsiders that knew more or less the layout that came and went, and it could be that they themselves didn't know how vital even the most "insignificant" detail could have helped the investigation.
But from what I hear is that in the beginning the students that were there for Shabbos were reluctant to talk for whatever reason, and by the time they did talk they could have forgotten details of that night. Even the students that were not there for Shabbos needed to be to be talked to in isolation, from what I heard they were not!

What is certain is that Chaim was targeted, and it wasn't by the Mafia like someone suggested because the Mafia doesn't kill children.

  18. The strategy of just making noise every few years and starting to accuse classmates, faculty, dorm monitors and hoping something sticks clearly not working. Im starting to doubt that the family and very close friends even want to catch the killer as where is the outrage to TEST DNA or exhume body? tHE FATHER SEEMS ECCENTRIC or not 100% I cannot believe that after all these years the family or close friends would not hire private teams of experts or run around world raising money to catch killer something makes no sense , the family and friends should be going nuts daily , every few years mr anton does this press release and we hear nothing more from anyone else , nothing against duz this website but cmon how sad is this case if thats who the family and community expects to find killer from DUZ IS NIES? I know there was a civil suit and the family settled but everyday we hear another solved murder from years ago with DNA and in this case we hear some b.s that there is only 1 hair and they afraid to use it WTF? its 35 years something is crazy that there is a strong hand whether from family or police or law enforcement or the killer himself maybe a very powerful rich man today. where is the outrage the rabbonim, the politicians, we have trump pardon rubashkin , weinstein lol but you mean to tell me no funding, no interest in finding killer, all our frum non for profit organizations? that have millions of dollars and nobody cares to find the murderer. Its hard to accept that . we are missing a piece of puzzle, the DNA should of been done years ago, there is someone stopping the truth here. Can u imagine if this happened today? a bochur murdered friday nite in dorm? perhaps some big rabbi or politician or askan knows that we are not allowed to find killer ,

    ReplyDelete
  19. I know plenty of people who were learning in Long Beach at the time of the murder or shortly after. It is their unanimous consensus that it would not have been possible for a bochur learning to have done the murder and not have gotten caught by now.

A bochur in Long Beach committing the murder means that (1) he acquired the weapon (where did he get it?), committed the murder, left the yeshiva, dumped all incriminating evidence,(where that it didn’t occur to the police to search?) cleaned himself up and returned to the yeshiva before everyone wakes up. The yeshiva is swarming with police the rest of Shabbos without him being detected (2) the dorm was closed off for an entire year while the forensics experts looked for clues that found nothing. (3)for the next year at least the murder and the investigation were THE topic of conversation. The murderer sat through this all without saying or doing anything suspicious. (4)as a technicality the murderer WAS in police custody because they questioned everyone there. How did he avoid their suspicion? There were over twenty five detectives assigned to the case and the boys had to available to them at all times . None of them picked up on even a SUSPISION on any specific bochur? (5)despite being involved in such a grisly murder the guy went through the next almost four decades without a single other brush with the law.

Another point that needs to be realized is that this was no huge dorm in constant use that one can question how did an outsider know where the rooms with only one bed are. It was a relatively small dorm that had had frequent break-ins over the summers when the Yeshiva was away. In fact, the very week of the murder the bochurim had just returned from a three week sukkos vacation AND had to evict neighborhood homeless who had taken residence there over Sukkos. So the murderer had plenty of opportunity to scuot out the building.

I know that some of the above can be answered but it’s just a small fraction of why the unanimous consensus among bochurim who were in Long Beach at the time is that the evidence pointing to a bocher is a lot weaker than some want to make and that had a bochur done it, he would have been caught by now.

    ReplyDelete
  20. What is certain is that Chaim was targeted, and it wasn't by the Mafia like someone suggested because the Mafia doesn't kill children.

Even assuming that is so, the mafia who are in the business of killing people are far more likely to make an exception and kill a child than someone who never killed anyone is to have done so.

But from what I hear is that in the beginning the students that were there for Shabbos were reluctant to talk for whatever reason, and by the time they did talk they could have forgotten details of that night.

The police asked everyone with a lie detector asking "did you see, anything, hear anything, know anything, are you hiding any information ?" and no one aroused their suspicion. Some Long Beech Bochurim felt the fact they were suspects made them want to end the interview ASAP. Some boys were told by the police "Oh you are Schmerel Scwartz, our investigation already shows you were involved, we just to need the exact details." You can be sure that under the circumstances, Schmerel Scwartz doesn't trust the cop and wants to get away from him ASAP. Had the boys had lawyers they would have talked even less.

The police did interview most of the boys who were away for Shabbos. Realisilty speaking how easy would it be on a Friday night for a frum boy living at home to slip away for the many hours needed to get to Long Beech and back without being detected? Even if he has access to a car which most of them didn't. And where would he have disposed of the evidence and taken a shower on the way that wouldn't have prolonged the trip enough for him to get caught driving on Shabbos? Being that the murder took place between 1:30
and 5:30 with the duration of the murder being over an hour the murderer would have had very little time to get back and not get caught driving on Shabbos

    ReplyDelete
  21. apparently, your investigation didn't succeed. you said you were almost certain you know who it is and were forming a group of Long Beach alumni.

I guess it might be the janitor after all. Just like UOJ...a loser

    ReplyDelete
  22. According to Officer Nolan who led the investigation the police did in fact question all boys who had been away for Shabbos. There anyway isn’t any good reason for suspicion that someone who was away for Shabbos came back to do the murder. The only good reasons to suspect that a bochur had done it are (1)How did the murderer get in and know the setup of the dorm (2)there is more risk to an outsider of getting caught in a dorm full of people than someone who sleeps there so there is less of a chance of an outsider taking the risk.

Neither of them is convincing. (1) This was clearly a pre meditated murder. The dorm was not so secure that someone looking to do the murder couldn't inspect it and strategize. He had the opportunity anytime it was empty because school was not in session. A guy doing such a murder would know how to pick a combination lock (2)A bochur who is supposed to be away for Shabbos is taking way more of a risk than an outsider. If he is seen in or near the dorm when he was further than walking distance for the rest of Shabbos (a) that would make him an equal suspect to any other outsider seen in the dorm. More importantly (b) his identity and whereabouts are known. He is guaranteed that the police will haul him. An outside can at least hope for not being recognized or found (c) travelling to and from the dorm on Shabbos is itself a major risk. That in itself provides many more opportunities for him to be caught or suspicion to fall on him that wouldn’t be true for an outsider

  23. Im also starting to jump ship after years of suspecting a classmate or rebbe, dorm monitor due to gay activity , I now feel that a homeless vagrant , janitor or halloween prank, and small chance payback , lets be honest its very very rare in last 100 years besides some jewish gangsters in lower east side to murder and were talking FRUM people ,how many frum people ever murdered another frum person? with all the molesters out there did a frum molester ever kill someone besides maybe kletsky story and that guy was a mental nut. we all know that a goy can kill much easier we do learn mesechta avoda zora, frum people dont kill unless self defense, the entire mr anton body language and press releases to me is strange, the civil suit against the yeshiva to me is also strange, did he take the settlement money and exhaust it on hiring detectives to get DNA? most people or even in the movies lol some friend or family member would dedicate their life to find killer, i feel me and some people on this board are more involved then the family friends? are there siblings? cousins? where is staten island chesed community , they should of gone to paul castellano in staten island to find the killer. Bottom line is pointing that the killer was some goy polish janitor some goy who has killed before or some thrill by halowween or who knows there is all kinds of mafia and gangs and in diamond business who will kill family members, drug cartels, mexican gangs , russians , perhaps iItalian mafia wont kill children.I know it sounds crazy but I dont see that the family really wants the truth to come out. If they did they would get the DNA, test it and exume whatever left. The father for years has convinced everyone that its an inside job and I was on board for years but now things just dond add up and again have we ever had a frum person murder another frum person ? sure there are some spouse murder out od rage and people hiring hitman but a premedidated murder by a frum boy or man are we saying this is the first time?

  24. All those latest comments are ridiculous .. Everyone should be and is a suspect. EVERY SINGLE ONE! Police who haven't investigated this should be brought in and investigate every single student and every single staff member. The DNA sample should be used ASAP!

  25. It’s a tragedy so many years later case has still not been solved and get chills every time I hear about it.

Based upon available information it was definitely not one of the bochurim from the yeshiva. It was too clean of a job. For a yeshiva guy not to leave a drop of evidence, passing polygraphs, not raising suspicion or not cracking under police questioning?! No chance it was a classmate. Case would’ve been solved long ago if it was.

People speculated their was a pedophile / molestation cover up motive which I don’t believe to be the case either. Pedophiles are cowards that’s why they almost exclusively prey on the young and vulnerable. For a pedophile to escalate into a murderer (and a very violent one) doesn’t make sense to me either.

Regarding someone’s comment/ post “the mafia - doesn’t kill children”, that’s completely inaccurate / false statement. That used to be sort of an unspoken rule among many of the crime families one might’ve seen glorified on tv or in the movies to give an aura of some respectability, but in the real world, that’s not the case; especially when a lot of money is involved, anyone and everyone would be fair game. Look up the Margo Compton case.

Based upon reading up on the case and it being such a violent and brutal murder, paired with the meticulousness of not leaving a trace of usable evidence at the crime scene, in my opinion I think whoever did this horrific murder, was a professional who might’ve been trying to send a message.

  28. Bottom line is nobody in the frum community really cares and maybe they care more about not finding killer. does anyone know if there is any reward money? is it still a joke measly 25k? what an embarrassment one of our own a frum bochor killed in a yeshiva and what were raising more funds for chai lifeline, bonei olam, hatzala that have millions socked away for next 100 years , im sure someone is spending big money all these years to coverup and not find killer. All this would take is a simple go fund me page to raise a million dollars raise the reward money and get private detectives but im sure anton weiss and family wont cooperate as they are afraid of the truth. Law enforcement has been wrong so many times , THEY RULED OUT janitor haloween thrill seekers , mental vagrant, based on what? WHAT A JOKE THEY STILL WAITING FOR A SUSPECT TO TEST THE 1 DNA HAIR? CMON the old corrupt nassua detectives are what now 90 years old?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Why dosent the family make noise START A GO FUND ME PAGE raise reward,or do they still have faith in the nassau law enforcement? Yes im accusing family of not being more aggressive publicly , if you want results you have to make noise , raise funds get out there say ur story put pressure on politicians, rabbis, jewish organizations . try something different instead of every 5-10 years rinse repeat press release with corrupt nassau police makes no sense . lets start go fund me , people will give and we can hire best PI in world. or am I missing something the family dosent want to , they want to still cooperate with the nassau police.we need matlock, magnum, columbo independent PI. so many people want to help and find the killer why cant we start go fund me page can someone explain? it seems like a no brainer and yes many people have said including classmates that perhaps the killer was someone that wanted to get back at the family. eli kushner said it in interview.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Anton weiss gives his first public interview 31 YEARS AFTER THE MURDER? Does anyone know the year of the civil laswsuit settlement with yeshiva ? im no detective but am I the only person that feels that the father for 31 years did not make noise or go public trying to find the KILLER, and to this date no family weiss members or close friends publicly making noise trying to find killer? Again wouldnt most family members ,parents be going nuts daily arranging protests by rabbi cooper, pitter house , in front of yeshiva, taking out ads , raising funds , asking powerful people for help or even taking revenge causing yeshiva trouble, what am I missing? did the family perhaps in the civil settlement agree that they cant do these things? And if so why did they agree ? is money more important than closure in finding who killed their son.The civil lawsuit together with the father and families handling is really strange. Its hard for me to believe that the family Anton weiss really believes the killer was from yeshiva with the way they acting and quick to settle civily and no public interview for 31 years. Many fathers and family members would of gone a different route if their son was killed in yeshiva cooper, pitter and all dorm counslours or rebbim who were there that shabbos WOULD BE LIVING DAILY IN FEAR them and their family , they would of had to move away to different country , im amazed that pitter cooper are able to work as a menahel and walk around lakewood without a care in world. I know most people feel its an inside job I did too until recently. I just dont get the WEISS FAMILY can someone explain why they have not been much more aggressive all these years? The one answer I guess is that they are traumatized and frozen and cannot live with this daily BUT u would think every family member and friend not 1 person
from family friends wants to be aggressive and dedicate their time for JUSTICE FOR CHAIM? I find that strange

    ReplyDelete
  31. In my opinion the police don’t really suspect a student of the yeshiva. Simple proof. Why are they insisting that will only test the hair found on the bed at the time of the murder for DNA when they already have the suspect in custody as additional proof? The official reason is because doing so will destroy the hair. That makes no sense because they anyway have no clue and at point little chance of getting one so why not use this one even if it will be destroyed it in the process?

The real answer is probably because when you have two people sharing the same small dorm there are who knows how many ways a strand of one persons hair can get onto someone else’s bed. There is no way you can convict someone based on that alone. On the other hand being that there is such a strong pressure to indict a fellow student, the police will have no chance other than to do so if the hair matches. And then see him get acquitted and pay him millions of dollars for the wrongful arrest suit that will file.

  32. Has anyone been following the Gilgo beach murder, bodies being found and chief of police suffolk county who has been accused of botching the case for 10 years has now been arrested for soliciting street prostitution , I assume he was under surveillance for covering up this serial killer or taking bribes or who knows what involvement maybe he was also a killer ,the point is its for sure not so far fetched or conspiracy theory that the Nassau long beach police of the late 80s ,90s and last 35 years maybe like mr anton keeps on saying its some bochur, rebbe who has a secret but can it be someone who worked at the nassau police headquarters that has kept a secret?Again ive been pounding table here for a go fund me page to hire private detectives and put pressure on politicians and powerful religous leaders , is it possible the weiss murder was a serial killer ? After all murder with a hatchet type weapon? serial killers usually, strangle, knives'not normal weapons and serial killers mostly dont get caught.I just dont believe anymore that its someone from yeshiva, handyman who was ex soldier or serial killer , its not credible that a bochur or rebbe would do this and actually get away with it. And serial killer writing a letter to family weeks later or graffiti on grave seems more like seial killer

  34. I can't say I know anything since I left MLB 3 years prior, but what I can say is that the guy in the video who said that there was only one way in and one way out was wrong. This room was at the end of the hall on the 3rd floor, and you could get in by the usual way, the front door - OR you could get in by the side door and walk up 2 flights and go straight in to the single room. So unless they closed off that side entrance/staircase, you definitely could get there easily w/o being seen.

  35. That guy in video I know him from camp days in nineties he was never the brightest GUY pretty stupid that he would be THE ONLY BOCHUR to respond to a reporter that I TOOK A LIE DETECTOR and passed ONE WAY IN ONE WAY OUT somebody wanted to get back at family or kid, it always bothered me this interview getting into his truck why hes even talking to reporter, he was driving truck van at age 15 kind of kid at risk in 90s lol, he is a very strong guy physically ready to fight combative temper not afraid of goyim and hes a lefty good softball hitter but he would be the last guy to care about lighting yartzeit candle or halacha.

  36. I was in Long Beach shortly afterwards and spoke at length to many who were there at the time. A few fun facts about a miserable story:

His room was directly across from the fire escape door.

There were specific non Jews from the block who had made active threats within the week (regarding an incident that no one wanted to talk about).

There were many other details. Many of these details bochurim tried to share with the police. But the police WOULDN'T LISTEN TO THEM because they were fixated on the idea that it was a student and a Hanhala coverup. So they discounted anything anyone said that seemed to contradict their hypothesis. Which is probably why the real perp got away with it - because everyone was looking in the dorm instead of outside of it....

    Just as you are!

I don't like Long Beach anymore.
But there are more ideas in heaven and earth than in your philosophy , Horatio.

He refused to tell me his name... He’s probably in his mid-50s, or older. The murder topic came up… he made it clear that it’s not as simple as ppl think… I asked him didn’t Rav Shach write at the time that it was definitely done by a goy? He said, Rav Shach knew what he had to say. And he refused to elaborate… that got me thinking… I wonder if he did/knows something??
