There are some elections that one can at least make the argument “s/he is going to win anyway we may as well be on his/her good side.” This isn’t one of them. No matter how much support the frum community will give Hochul she won’t do anything in return anyway. She already has the track record to prove it.
Plus it isn’t so clear that Hochul is going to win. For the past few elections the polls have consistently heavily underestimated the support the Republican candidates actually have. No one dreamed that Pataki would win either. Some people ended up losing out big time for supporting Cuomo over him because they thought Cuomo would win anyway. When Pataki won he did not consider those people his natural allies he otherwise would have considered them

If you are crazy enough to support Kathy Hochul, or you’re even on the fence about which candidate to support in the governor’s race, you have no right to complain about the assault against yeshivas in New York state.
By supporting leftist politicians who are out to harm the Jewish community, YOU are part of the problem .
If you are not fully invested in Lee Zeldin, or if you align with the Democrat party, you have no right to complain about the rash of brutal antisemitic hate crimes.
It’s time for Jews to wake up and realize that Democrats in New York do not represent our values. They have dangerous policies, they have destroyed what used to be a state that was relatively safe, and friendly to Jews.
Democrats are not friends of the Jewish community.
No matter how much money they pump into our institutions in a pitiful effort to buy our support. They have thrown us under the bus again and again. Many Democrat politicians probably despise the Charedi community. But even if they don’t hate us, it is very clear that their policies are diametrically opposed to our best interest.
Governor Hochul’s policies have been disastrous for every New Yorker who is not a criminal or illegal alien.
Despite the urging of many Democrats, including Mayor Adams, she has refused to reform no-cash-bail. She refuses to fire woke DA Alvin Bragg. And she has not defended yeshivas from the invasive equivalency restrictions passed by the state Board of Regents.
On the contrary, her deafening silence has been a de facto endorsement of the restrictions, which could be devastating.
Because of Hochul, New York has become the wild west (except in the wild west, the good guys also carried guns). Criminals commit vicious, violent shootings and stabbings in broad daylight. They carry out carjackings, muggings, and beatings. Even if they get arrested and released the very same day.
Even the man who jumped on stage and attacked Lee Zeldin with a blade, was released the next day.
Yet despite this insanity, if you are not a staunch supporter of Zeldin, you have no right to complain.
After the NY Times published a disgraceful, biased, hate-filled hit piece attacking Chassidim, Zeldin came out in defense of our community. He bravely spoke out in support of yeshivas and Charedim and against the draconian equivalency guidelines.
Governor Hochul was silent. She dodged every question about the guidelines. She has enormous influence over the Board of Regents. Yet rather than use her unique position to defend our community, she has thrown us under the bus.
Ironically, she was more than willing to accept the endorsement (and donations) of Chassidic Rabbanim and leaders, yet when they need her most, she is MIA.
Amazingly, after the Times published its vicious story, the response from Jews was strong and vocal. And no doubt that was a great thing.
However any Jew who supports Hochul and the Democrats, or who has no strong candidate at all, has no right to be outraged.

The choice for governor is a no-brainer. Unless you want New York to be overrun by drug dealers and murderers, Zeldin is the clear choice.
Imagine if every Jew in New York voted for Zeldin? Would it guarantee a victory? Probably not. But it would give Zeldin a huge advantage.
Often in non-presidential election years, the winner can be determined by less than 100K votes.
Nobody expected George Pataki to beat Mario Cuomo. But upsets happen. Hochul is not popular, and she was never elected governor in the first place. In addition, many New Yorkers, including Democrats, are quietly frustrated at the direction the state is heading.
This could be the year. If Jews wake up and realize which candidate represents their interests, and which one has been an enemy of our community.
