Police launched an investigation on Shabbos into a suspected attempt by an Israeli man in Modi'in Illit to murder his wife before trying to kill himself.
Police said officers arrived in ultra-Orthodox settlement of Modi’in Illit to find a man sprawled out on the concrete, with his wife lying barely conscious in an apartment above with stab wounds throughout her body.
The husband, 40, and wife, 37, were rushed from Modi’in Illit to Tel Hashomer’s Sheba Medical Center in serious condition, according to the Magen David Adom emergency service.

ReplyDeleteNope .....I would never write that ...
But when a guy with a long beard with tzizis outside and learns Torah tries to murder his wife .... then yes... I write "Chareidie"
The husband and wife are Russian olim who were chozer b’teshuvah, a Chareidim10 report said.

ReplyDeleteI hear... but as in every single sholom bayis case, there are at least 2 sides to each story. Maybe here she tried to kill him and wounded herself in the process... which is what made him run outside, who knows ?
The kind of thing that sometimes appears in the investigation after a week or a month.
Always remember that not every woman is a victim, and not every man (with or without "a long beard with tzizis outside and learning Tora") is guilty.
It's called Shamoa ben acheichem.
