The Gemara Talks about this Problem about Mothers coming to Pick up children from Cheder. Back than women dressed more conservative than now and there was no PTA so it probably is a bigger problem today. I dont see anyone would make fun of this a man is not necessarily supposed to look a women in the face for long periods of time if you have a problem with the Halachos than complain to the One who wrote the Torah.
UNKNOWN# all the rosh yeshivot throughout the years allowed mothers to come to PTA and they know your gemara and then some.the problem is not halachot but chumrot that are inflicted by amharazim.
The woman 25 years ago did not dress the way they do now like super Models with the latest eye catching Make up etc and Sheitels that look better than their natural woman hair
UNKNOWN*** first of all , some did, second of all you notice a lot about woman, third of all, most don't dress the way you describe, fourth, sheitels that look better than hair are mutar, fifth, just say uou're buzy with woman.
To anonymous 5:53 anyone who is alive today unless they live in a cave or walk around with blindfolds over his eyes all day is aware of the facts enumerated in the previous comment which you are obviously well aware of especially considering that you are on the "World wide web". One usually does not have to look any further than ones own home or neighborhood or block to understand this reality no matter how religious or Frum or Chareidi or Yeshivish or Chassidish they or their gamily or neighbors are . All that the school is asking for is not to parade all of this directly in front of your sons Rebbes eyes for prolonged periods of time it is not just for the benifit of yourself and the Rebbe it is for the benifit and wellbeing of your son, whom You are sending to a Yeshiva and paying alot of tuition so that he can have a Rebbe who is focused on teaching and giving over spirituality and that necessitates that the Rebbe be able to maintain his personal level of spirituality and not have to have any spiritual pitfalls placed in front of him in his own classroom where he is educating your child and the children of the parents of the rest of the class. Not really to complicated just basic Common sense when you understand Human Biology
MAybe the wives of the rebbeim should be present at the PTA to guard their husbands, liek the wife of the Taana who would meet her husband at the gates of the city so he wouldnt be tempted on his way home. Be serious-- look at the Beyonce sheitels... and dnt think the rebbe's salary can afford those magnificent wigs. What's wrng with asking women to be a bit more conservative around married men?
now they're telling the sheep how to dress.something in our water is causing insanity
ReplyDeleteIt’s not something in the water that’s causing this insanity. It’s a delusion endemic to a society that promotes abysmal modesty over common sense.
DeleteIf any veibela wants to get all tzepitz to come see me, I can dispense a special "heter"!
ReplyDeleteIf you are still a bit uncomfortable or unsure I can probably get my cheerleader Seidemann to issue a few barks, howls & woofs to sanction it all.
I already have the backing of Yankel Bender who has been on the wrong side of every issue for the last 40 years, from Yudi Kolko to Shmuel Hiller.
No one else other then the wives even realize that its a issue.
