I'll bet if a Chassidishe Yeshivah would have thrown out boys for going to a Levaya of a Litvak, all hell would have broken loose!
But the fact that this was a Chassidishe Rebbe, that prompted a Rosh Yeshivah a Litvak to tell his students to remain in Yeshivah...
Others justify this, saying "that it wasn't that they went to the Levaya that got them thrown out but the fact that they went after being told not to...."
Hmmmmm? What crazed logic is this?
The issue here is that this R"Y has chassidishe boys in his Yeshivah, but refuses to accommodate them,..... very nice chinuch...that's the way we are going to keep our children on the derech ...
Who is the one who once said that "Litvaks have a "tzeilim" in their hearts?"
A Mesivta in Lakewood might have broken world records on Wednesday, after dozens of Bochurim were suspended. The boys were given the boot because they chose to attend the Levaya of the Skulener Rebbe in Boro Park on Tuesday.
According to a report by TLS, the Hanhala reportedly told the Bochurim to stay in Yeshiva and learn, rather than travel to New York for the Levaya, but a large group decided to do otherwise. Many of the Bochurim in this Mesivta are from a Chassidish background, and really wanted to attend this Levaya.
On Wednesday, approximately 50 boys were told not to come back to Yeshiva.
Additionally, many of them are being told not to come back next Z’man (after Pesach).
Wondering if these 50 ex-yeshivah guys were the ones who trashed a car at the levayah by standing on the car's roof. You got to figure if they don't listen to authority or they (or their parents) know better then they 'know better' in all areas.
ReplyDeleteWhich Yeshiva is this. There has to be more to this story. It’s to outrageous.

ReplyDeleteIf the boys are such big Chasidim, why are they in a Litvishe yeshiva? Let them go back where they came from if they don't like it.
"Who is the one who once said that "Litvaks have a "tzeilim" in their hearts?"
And Chasidim have a tzeilem in their heads?
Lemayseh, from what I have seen, the true facts are somewhat different from what have appeared in some of the wild allegations online.
People should not jump to conclusions based on online reports from people who don't even know the name of the yeshiva involved. I bet you DIN is just repeating things and doesn't know the place either.

I actually don't know the Yeshiva involved .... and I don't care ...
and yes ...I'm "just repeating things"
But what is clear from all ..... both from those who support the "krumeh" Hanahalah and those who oppose ...is the following
The Yeshivah cannot exist from tuition alone, meaning the "Hanhalah" are basically a bunch of schnorrers,
and who do they schnor from?
Oilim Goilim.....
So listen carefully Mr "know it all"
I dont have to know the name of the Yeshivah to know that they are a bunch of cruel beards sitting on their high horses with big salaries bossing impressionable kids around ....
An unquestionable non debatable Gadol passed away .... and the kids should have been given the option to go to this historic Levayeh...
Once they did rule... they should have been mevateir on their "rules" and say like a big boy..."we made a mistake"
This yeshivah will ultimately fail and close down since this is not a way to be mechaneich our future doros.
What they in effect said ....
that the yeshivah will only allow the boys to go to a "litvishe" tzaddik... but if its a chassidishe tzaddik, then it's not that important to go and its best to ignore the entire levayah ...
These guys with the long beards and fancy glasses should quit and go punch a clock
over the course of a few months in 1985 or 1986, the no longer existing St Louis yeshiva threw out 30 bochurim who were real bottom barrel lowlives
ReplyDeletesome of them had gotten there from the huge house cleaning that the Mirrer mesivta did the year before
the Mirrer mesivta had completely sunk beyond recognition & was basically restarted after they kicked all the garbage to the curb. after that, no one could get into the 9th grade unless they were farhered & investigated by the beis medrash rebbeyim
