In the Satmar Newspapers they photoshopped out the rebbbetzin in this photo! |
The rule amongst the Satmar hypocrites is that there must be a mechitzah between men and women even in restaurants .... but that only applies to the regular Szlub Chassidim, but it doesn't apply to the Holy Rebbitzen, the wife of R' Yoel Teitelbaum, founder of the Gypsy Romanian Cult.
Seems like the "One True Religion" is ever evolving... neither "one" nor "true."
ReplyDeleteAnd despite all of the 'we're all one people' dreck I was fed through Chabad Chasidim (even they don't believe it, 20/20 hindsight), the reality on the ground is that we are a very fractured people with incredible disagreements. Essentially, no different than the rest of the world. Jewish exceptionalism is a myth (and only fools and elitists believe in it).
As for Satmar and extremists of their ilk, it's beginning to look more and more like radical Islam. When their numbers increase I suspect their tendency to justify violence will as well.
Off topic: DIN, if you in fact moved to Israel, mazel tov on your aliyah. I shelved that dream a while back, but I do believe in pursuing one's personal happiness. It's good to see you pursuing yours, and I'm happy for you. All the best.
