HaGaon HaRav Bentzion Mutzafi Shlita in a Shu’t released which addresses one wearing a sheitel (פאה נכרית), the prominent Sephardi posek rules that one should not buy tefilin from a sofer whose wife wears a sheitel for in his view, it is tantamount to the wife being without a hair covering. The ruling is published in ‘גביע הכסף’, where a number of halachic questions are addressed.
The rav adds that if a Sephardi girl attends seminary in England and she is asked to wear a sheitel for a shidduch, she should not accept the shidduch. The rav was also asked regarding the psak of HaGaon Chacham Bentzion Abba Shaul ZT”L, Rosh Yeshivat Porat Yosef, who is matir the sheitel in his sefer Ohr L’Tzion. Rav Mutzafi stated Rav Abba Shaul was never matir a shteitel and he never wrote such a psak in his sefer.
i was getting worried, we haven't heard any new isurim lately, oh thank G-d these idiots are still around. they make life interesting

DeleteIgnorant bum, it's mind boggling that you have no shame to spew out in public your disgusting hateful comments and you don't even realize how ignorant and stupid and totally disconnected of any knowledge whatsoeve you are from the Torah
DeleteOne shouldnt open his mouth and make a big fool of himself i say :)
ReplyDeleteYou obviously talking to yourself
DeleteEnough of this new shaytel chumra shtoooos.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to watch another rerun of my Son the Schnorrer on the Satmar cable channel.
Today's episode:
46 year old unmarried kollel bochur Yoilee Nachman decides to Go Off The Derech after his much anticipated shidduch date with a "hot channie" goes awry when he discovers that his
date is a 210 lb. 54 year old besulla in early menopause.
The Halacha is that the hair must be covered.
ReplyDeleteIt does not matter if its a shaitel, teichel, or even a hat as long as the hair is completely covered.
Sefardim are actually not allowed to wear shaytelach. This is an old story from their poskim. A lot of Sefardi ladies even in Brooklyn wear large hats that conceal all their hair. Rav Mutzafi is speaking for Sefardim, not for us. Sefardim, according to their poskim, also cannot mix fish & milk and must have a Yid turn on a fire to cook, not just a pilot light.
ReplyDelete@1:01:
ReplyDeleteActually as regards to Bishul Akum, for Sfardim it's not enough if a Yid turns on the fire. The Yid must actually place the food on the fire (or in the pot that is already on the fire).
Oy gevalt with all theese rules no wonder we have so many mental disorders among the yiddin, they just cannot cope with so many contradiction not possible
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 1:23 PM,
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't it enough?
I suppose that according to rabbi Mutzafi, no Sephardi boy may marry any Ashkenazi girl no matter how frum she is and that no Sephardi may purchase tefillin from any Ashkenazi, not even if he is the greatest Tzaddik in the world. After all the Chofetz Chaim's Rebbetzin wore a shaitel.
ReplyDeleteI think if one is not part of that kehilla they probably don't understand it's dynamics and therefore shouldn't judge the rabbi who might be addressing his people according to what he knows about their needs and lifestyle and how they take to chumras and kulas etc.
ReplyDeleteHarry,
DeleteI'm not part of their kehilla but I understand their " dynamics " perfectly well.
Better to use a more apt description of their chumra hashkafa than dynamics.
Sophistry is more like it.
Bishul akum
ReplyDeleteThe Bais Yosef poskens in Shulchan Aruch that a Yid must place the pot on the fire with his own hands. The Ramoh in the same siman there is maykil for Ashkenazim that a pilot light is good enough. Some Ashkenazim are still machmir.
Star K was caught using a phony loophole that is even less than pilot light. Rabbi Eenee Meenee Minee Moe Heinemann was furious at the Lakewood rabbi who snitched on him to the gedolim, prompting R' Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ztl to write a teshuva against Star K. But as usual, like the many other things that the great poskim say Heinemann has no leg to stand on in halacha, Heinemann refuses to back down.
Ran Heinneman Shlit"a happens to be a great Talmud Chochom, well versed in halacha. Also very knowledgeable in technology electricity and science.
DeleteBefore belittling him maybe do some serious research on who thus man really is.
Unfortunately this Tzaddik has a lot of people who dislike him.
Out of jealousy and sinas chinom
4:19 PM--It sure looks like you very knowledgeble of Torah since your sentence begins with Ignorant bum, your toreh is worthless and you should be excomunicated from among jewish people.
ReplyDeleteAnd sure enough it looks like you are NOT knowledgeable of anything connected to Torah
DeletePlease! Heinemann thinks he is an equal of RSZA, RYSE, etc, when he is nowhere close.
ReplyDeleteDo we have to fight like this, my brothers?!
ReplyDeleteJacsi,
ReplyDeleteIf you're not orthodox, what's the excuse for YOUR mental disorder?
Rav abba shaul's wife and daughters wore shaitels../
ReplyDeleteand dont buy from a sofer with a smart phone. Etc. Or a Soffer whose daughters wear tight clothes. Or a Soffer who eats Glat meat if its not bait yosef etc. Are you sure he is in favor of anyone
