The problem is that people still are unable to honestly speak the truth due to political correctness. Suppose there would be a religion which basically calls for th killing of all people over 70. And then there would be some members of that religion who say that we don't really adhere to that literally. but many say that it is to be taken literally. Wouldn't we be correct to say that members of that religion are inherently enemies of our country? Would we have to have political correctness and say that we can't be against an entire religion? The Koran calls for this jihad. The fervent adherents certainly do take it literally. Why may we not acknowledge this? So yes, every Muslim is a potential enemy and threat to our country. They would have to do something very concrete and visible in their lives to show that they have denounced this before we can afford them rights indiscriminately.
So back to gun control. If we were to really do the right thing all around, we would allow the right to bare arms for all who are not a perceived threat to our country. This excludes Muslims until denounced as above. But when we do only part of the right thing, that sometimes could be a disaster.
Radical Islam is not the problem ...

Radical Islam is the reason for the hate but gun control would greatly curtail the amount of successful attacks
