Israel denies Tucker Carlson's Version of What Took Place at the Airport

 Israel Airports  Authority says interaction was routine security questioning, dismissing claims as unfounded.

Carlson had a brief stop for an interview with US Ambassador Mike Huckabee before departing.

  1. {Personal note: When I was boarding an El Al flight from Amsterdam to New York 50+ years ago, I was asked all kinds of questions about what I was doing in Israel a few days previously (I had been there for the summer to get college credits for an archaeological dig). When I told them that I had been doing archaeology, they asked me where. I replied "Tel Sheva." "So how is Professor Yadin doing?" If I had replied to the effect that Professor Yadin was doing just fine, they would have immediately grabbed me, because Yigael Yadin was not digging at Tel Sheva; the top banana at Tel Sheva was Professor Yochanan Aharoni, who made no attempt to conceal his revulsion of Aharoni (the two were academic and personal arch enemies).

    A friend of mine once told me that when he was doing airport security, his group caught a child smuggler by asking the little kid "Is this your mommy?"

    So yes, Tucker Carlson was subjected to some very pointed questions by Israeli security – just like almost EVERY other traveler.}

  2. The man who bagged so much Qatari money,...

    Expects Israel to not suspect that he had a Qatari terrorist in his bag!?!?
