Rabbi Dov Landau doesn't want Sfardie Girls to mix with Ashkenazi Girls so he establishes a new School for the Sefardic Girls!

The Ashkenazi Seminary in Jerusalem, "The Branch", which is not willing to accept Mizrahi students, found a "solution

The Ashkenazim in Jerusalem have established a new seminary for those with Sephardic backgrounds, and will enroll more than 450 girls who remain without a seminary, thus preventing the assimilation of Sephardic Ashkenazi in the girls' schools in Jerusalem. -

It should be noted that the Lithuanian school has not yet opened registration in order to prevent hundreds of Sephardic girls from assimilating with Ashkenazi Girls

Maran Rabbi Landau instructed to delay the registration   until a solution would be found.

A new principal, Rabbi Mendelsohn, will open the new school in the same building, but with separate entrances, and in this way they will ensure that the Ashkenazi girls do not assimilate into Sephardic and vice versa, Chas Ve'sholom

  1. They don't realize it but they're doing the Sephardi girls a favour.

  4. simple DIN solutionJuly 10, 2025 at 5:54 PM

Think like DIN and there is a simple solution. Have them to go to Habad Lubavitch seminary, where they will learn that the late Habad leader is messiah.

    1. Great idea, one thing is for sure though, from this story we see that Rav Landau is certainly not the Mohiach!

Why are you publishing this slander? Is there anyone else who is doing something for them? Is a Hasidic sect helping them? Rav Landau is trying to help them, kudos to him.

    2. Rav Landau is not trying to do anyhting for them. This was forced upon the seminary by the government, which funds it. They had to take Sephardi girls if they wanted the funding. His solution was to take them, but separate them from his followers' girlsy,

Why do these girls want to go to an Ashkenaz seminary? Do Ashkenaz girls apply to Sephardic seminaries? The different shevatim in the midbar lived and marched separately, have you forgotten that DIN? Do you complain that the Torah didn't have them all marching together, totally intermingled??

They indeed "marched separately," but when it came to Torah which is what we are addressing the Torah writes:
      ויחן שם ישראל נגד ההר
      see Rashi
      כאיש אחד בלב אחד
I think that your rabbaim were a bunch of ama-ratzim, otherwise you wouldn't have uttered such "shtussim"

  7. Chareidim, treasonous racists.
Murderous traitors who will not lift a finger to help defend their own country and their own families.
On top of that, filthy racist against their Jewish brethren.

  8. The hype is misplaced. Too many Sefardim introduced to an Ashkenazi school changes the character of the place. If there wasn’t such a drive by the Sfardim alein to shtup their way in because they don’t want to be with their own Sfardi chevra at Sfardi schools, there wouldn’t be this fodder for DIN & other Charedi bashers to get mileage out of

  9. Say NO to naive assimilationist fantasiesJuly 10, 2025 at 10:40 PM

How can Sephardic girls go to Ashkenaz mosdos, the Ashkenazim eat kugel and cholent, Sephardim have different dishes. Does DIN want the Sephardim/Eidos Hamizrach girls to lose their culture, their mesorah, and start eating kugel and cholent, and cooking it for their families? Shame on DIN!

The Sephardim have different psakim in halacha, different pronunciations, different minhagim. You want them to go to an Ashkenazic seminary to learn Ashkenazic halacha? Stop the nonsense.

    1. No No No, you’ve got it all wrong, it’s so the Ashkenazim are able to see how true Jews behave by loving other Yidden without stigmatising and judging, you know, like what HKBH wants from all of us Yidden

  12. To paraphrase Judge Judy Scheindlin, DIN "has a type!". But he also believes that variety is the spice of life. First he let the cat out of the bag on the OTD ex-Satmar fatties, and now the darkies that make a mean dafina & cous cous!

  13. I was just in Israel about two months ago and I did not see any of the stupid sinas chinam always complained about. It was beautiful! Secondly, when I was a kid, I remember having sefardi and yekkish kids in my class wearing taleisim. Today, because everyone became litvishized, those same kids's kids are not wearing taleisim because they don't want to be different. Nothing wrong with keeping your own mesorah!!

  14. At least DIN didn’t blast out the stomach turning video like CBN did of the Golani Brigade Schvartze with the Veisseh meydel. Keep the races separate. Besides that most poskim hold the Falashas need episs some kind of gerus ranging from comprehensive to some minor act. There is a discussion in Kadmonim that Schvartzes are the only major demographic who are problematic candidates for gerus & that the problem bleibs even noch the gerus

  15. Where does the question begin here ?...
Even Chasidim, Litvaks and Yekess don't mix together...
Even Gerrers, Belzes, Vijnitz, Satmers don't mix together...
And all these nice guys don't even intermarry !...
So now who's gonna blame Rav Landau for just perpetuating what Klal Ysroel has always been doing since the first Beis Hamikdash ?

    1. My father, a"h, used to say that the point of Israel was because God saw that we were divided and estranged and drifting apart so He brought us back. Jews would meet each other, Jews from different backgrounds would marry each other and we would become one people benefiting from all the different backgrounds.
Shame on the people who want to maintain division and separateness.

  16. Ummm… I believe I saw an article (I think it was on Shsulson’s site) Where the explanation was that when they have been combining the two, there has been terrible bias against the Sefardic girls. This approach, while admitting defeat in their efforts against the bias, creates an atmosphere where the Sefardic girls Will be able to succeed in their own environment. I believe that was the gist of the article.

    1. Yes, just like there was terrible bias against Blacks in the South so they segregated the schools. This approach, while admitting defeat in their efforts against the bias, creates an atmosphere where the Blacks will be able to succeed in their own environment.

Or you just sit those little Ashky princesses down and read them the "Who do you think you are? riot act.

  17. I see that most of the idiots here don’t understand the story. This school, Bais Yaakov Darchei Rachel is located in Givat Shaul and receives funding from the government. So it has to accept a certain number of students from the area regardless of background. But as Mendelssohn does not want to mix the Sephardim with the ashkenazim, he’s delaying the registration process and keeping the sefardie girls separate.

    1. We all understand the story, Chareidim don't want the Chareidie Sfardie girls mixing with the Charedie Ashkenazi girls , Chas Ve'sholom. By doing this, they hope to bring Moshiach closer!
The government has it right, and the gedoilim have it wrong!
They are even going to have a separate entrance so they don't, G-d forbid, even meet in the hallways!
