Thirty one years after the Rebbe's passing, his impact and influence remain stronger than ever.
His teachings continue to inspire and guide us, and his insights are as novel and relevant as if they were given today.
Each of us is a beneficiary of the Rebbe's inspiration somehow, and his visionary leadership has transformed the Jewish world as we know it today.
Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, universally known as "the Rebbe," is considered the most influential rabbi in modern history. Under his visionary leadership, Chabad became a global Jewish organization, with thousands of Shluchim (emissaries) and centers.
A revolutionary Torah scholar, his teachings emphasized love for all, outreach, education, and good deeds to prepare the world for an era of peace and tranquility.
The Rebbe's published works include hundreds of volumes of essays, discourses, talks, and letters. Renowned for his boundless compassion, the Rebbe inspired millions, including U.S. presidents and Israeli elected officials. Decades after his passing, the Rebbe's impact continues.
Stop beating around the bush already. Let Habad Lubavitch say what they believe openly, that their late leader is Messiah.

DeleteWhy are you hung up with Chabad? Are they bothering you?
Yes
DeleteThey say it period.
DeleteHaters gonna hate hate hate
ReplyDeleteOutrageous Orwellian.
DeleteThose whose have sacrifice their essential all for their Ahavah, will be maligned as haters.
While for contrast those ignorant whose only love is pie-in-sky indulgent communal self-love are termed lovers
…Each of us is a beneficiary of the Rebbe's inspiration somehow, and his visionary leadership has transformed the Jewish world as we know it today…
ReplyDeleteHis visionary leadership and inspiration brought us the same looniness as Shabbtai Tzvi.
Rebbitzen Uriah
DeleteI don't see any "looniness" at all, I see dedicated guys trying to get Jews to put on tefillin! I don't see how this should bother anyone!
I see even Satmar business people davening and eating in Chabad Shuls all over the world!
They believe that their Rebbe is Moshiach? So what? Why should that bother anyone?
Because they steal the potential that could have moved us to better things

ReplyDeleteAnd this is what bugs me about Lubavitch.
Yes, they do lots of good work. Yes they've influenced lots of Jews to have positive feelings about Judaism. Yes, they make important differences in small Jewish communities lacking their own resources. All good things.
It's the earnestness with which they push their agenda that irks. They think the Rebbe, z"l, is the greatest Jew who ever lived. Very nice. But they see it as their job to convince me that he's the greatest Jew that ever lived and if I pick someone else like, oh say Moshe Rebeinu, they feel a need to convince me otherwise. They think he's Moshiach? Again, nice and harmless. But the need they have to make me think that too is the bothersome part.
The HaBAD Luvabitch is a loony cult worshipping their false messiah Schneerson. Like Garnel wrote, they are busy promoting their long dead leader. Why? Garnel said it well, they consider him the greatest, and even the ones who pose as "non-messianist" really think of him as Messiah privately.
ReplyDeleteCut your peyos
DeleteI think you should really think why this bothers you, why do you care?
So they think that he is the greatest! Every chassidus thinks that their rebbe is the greatest!
You write:
"even the ones who pose as "non-messianist" really think of him as Messiah privately."
Why would that bother you?
Who cares?
I'm sure that your private thoughts are not so kosher, is that anyone's business?
Since Judaism, if it is anything has to have core beliefs. They put a torch to that.
DeleteIf they're ok.Then Reform could be ok too.The retired HU Eric Yoffie put it eloquently: The only orthodox he got along with was Chabad since they are a"minimalist cut-rate form of jew"ish belief anyway
Cohen HaKatan
DeleteNo one really cares what Eric Yoffie said, except maybe his wife!
Chabad has done for Judaism more than any other group, Full Stop!
If you are a frum businessman who travels, you know that very very well. Even Satmar now has a great relationship with Chabad, because Satmar has become very successful in finance and travel and use Chabad Shuls all the time!
Chabad are the very first ones that got involved in kiruv and continue to do it!
Only a "kalter" Litvak or an American 4 generations would oppose them, as they don't travel and basically mooch from the community coffers!
I say Kol HaKoved to them!
If you would know the Habad cult from up close you would have a different opinion. They fool naive people like you who have limited contact and knowledge of them, but are exposed to their propaganda bombardments and get fooled by them.
ReplyDeleteTechiyas Hameisim
DeleteI actually grew up in Crown Heights on Eastern Parkway, though I learned in Bobover Yeshiva, I saw the Rebbe every single day as he would go to the Krestirer Mikva on Eastern Parkway.
In know intimately hundreds and probably thousands of Chabad Chassidim, I also travelled alot when I was in business, I can tell you firsthand that they are the greatest thing that happened to the Jewish people, in every single respect!
No one is perfect but they certainly come very close!
I actually come from a Satmar background and my father z"l believed that the Rebbe was from the greatest in his generation and the previous generation!
All chassidim and all Litvaks have propaganda! I would vebture to say that those Rabbanim (והבין יבין) that badmouthed him were all jealous of hid brilliant mind and his Torah Knowledge! He left a great legacy!
Let me add something important, the Lubavitcher Rebbe Z"L was in principle against the establishment of a Jewish State and yet I thought and think that he was a great man and a great אוהב ישראל
