I don't believe the Shinyaver Wine Story; it's all fantasy , It's a fabric of someone's demented imagination.

You misquote gemaras now you'e misquoting the Chofetz Chaim. Are you drunk?
The story of the Chofetz Chayim standing up for a bottle of Carmel wine is brought down in the book distributed by Feldheim describing the first frum settlers in Eretz Yisroel in the 1800 's..
I also heard the story many years ago from the son-in-law of the Chofetz Chaim ... Rav Zaks.
I suspect these Romanisher peasants may be making stuff up as they go along.
Carmel first exported wine to Europe in 1896. The Shinover (who was a Galitzianer) was niftar in 1898. So I was already suspicious about the 1 or 2 year window of possibility. And it's not like even then it was first available everywhere.
The "little boy" Koloshitzer was 12 years old in 1896, already wearing tefillin in hachono for the bar mitzva.
The Romanisher are into a shtik similar to Lubavitch. Romanisher try to drag every Poilisher, Litvisher & Yekkisher into a fantasy land of supposedly being in agreement with their fanatical anti-Zionism.
