Why Hasn't Obama Called For The Removal of Qadfahi?


As pressure mounts on the White House to intervene to stop Moammar Gadhafi's bloodycrackdowninLibya, many commentators have been wondering why Barack Obama has been cautious in his criticism of the dictator after the U.S. president so fervently supported the removal from office of U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.
But Gadhafi has been tied to Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's spiritual adviser for more than 23 years.
The Libyan dictator also hasfinancedand strongly supported the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan. Obama has ties to Farrakhan and his controversial group.

Obama finally bends to pressure and asks for Gadhafi to step down!!

President Barack Obama is asking Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi to leave his country now.
The Associated Press reported Obama’s comments were made to German Chancellor Angela Merkel during a private telephone conversation about the violence in Libya on Saturday.
Obama told Merkel the only way Gadhafi can hold onto his power is by using violence. 
The U.N. Security Council met for the second day on Saturday during an urgent session to discuss sanctions against Libya for the brutal killings of at least 2,000 anti-government protesters.
British Prime Minister David Cameron said the U.N. Security Council should approve harsh sanctions against Libya. "There can be no impunity for the blatant and inhuman disregard for basic rights that is taking place in Libya," Cameron said.
It was on Friday when Libya's Ambassador Mohamed Shalgham said he hopes sanctions will be imposed very soon.
"I hope that within hours, not days, they can do something tangible, effective to stop what they are doing there — Gadhafi and his sons — against our people," he said.
